Am I being ridiculous? Absolutely. But the point is to illustrate that the A.P. is taking an absurd and indefensible position, too. So I've called my lawyers (really) and have asked them to deliver a DMCA takedown demand to the A.P. And I will also be sending them a bill for $12.50 with that letter, which is exactly what the A.P. would have charged me if I published a 22 word quote from one of their articles.

I want to see the fiscal requirements go back to when if you do not have a sterling credit background you just have to rent. Many were so upset that people of lesser credit could not get 'into a home' that our own government pushed that the financial institutions 'loosen' the credentials needed to purchase a home. Well the government got what they wished for and now we all pay the price. A new/old lesson that if the government gets involved all turns to shit!

AP's a weird organization. They still aren't having executives go on the record about this disagreement, 11 days after it became public. They cover countless thousands of stories where people give a "no comment" and make themselves look worse, and yet they never learned the same lesson.
