Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Two weeks after pledging support, Senator Hillary Clinton is ready to actively rally her troops to his side and will be introducing Senator Obama to her key fundraisers. "The [Obama] campaign could not afford for all these supporters to take the summer off and lick their wounds," Politico's Mike Allen said.

"If You've Got The Money, Honey, I've Got The Time"

If you've got the money, honey, I've got the time
We'll go honky tonkin' and we'll have a time
We'll make all the night spots, dance, drink beer, and wine
If you've got the money, honey, I've got the time

There ain't no use to tarry so let's start out tonight
We'll spread joy, oh boy oh boy, and we'll spread it right
We'll have more fun, baby, all way down the line
If you've got the money, honey, I've got the time

If you've got the money, I've got the time
We'll go honky tonkin' and we'll have a time
Bring along your Cadillac leave my old wreck behind
If you've got the money, honey, I've got the time

Yes we'll go honky tonkin' make every club in town
We'll go to the park where it's dark we won't fool around
But if you run short of money, I'll run short of time
'Cause you with no more money, honey, I've no more time

-- Willie Nelson

Whaa?

Clinton Brings What Obama Needs: Money

Which, presumably, is why she's asking Obama to bail her out of her campaign debt. Rumoured to be in excess of 20 million of which 12 million is money she loaned her campaign herself.

Hillary brings beer dems and old ladies.

Obama brings in the money.

Be Well.

If Hillary has so many supporters with lots of money why don't they at least help bale her out. If I was Obama I would make it clear I would help pay off half her debt in exchange for the suppport of her rich friends.

Hillary brought in more money, and more votes, than any Dem in history other than Obama. She had something like 230 million for the campaign, 270 for him.

The 20 million she has in her Sen fund can't be used for her Pres debt, but could be used, with permission, by Obama. Plus, she can get even more money for Obama from her donors.

The idea is that they trade money, his that can be used to pay her debts and hers in return for his campaign.

He's not "giving" her anything.

I think Hil's supporters have maxed out what they can donate to her. She can syill collect while her campaign is "suspended", as can the other former candidates.

Read somewhere McSame offered to help RudiG get out of debt, once he dropped out, but apparently hasn't done much.

I'm not giving him a dime. Not giving the DNC anymore either. Florida and Michigan. Does selection instead of election ring any bells?

Northguy -- you and the other oinkers are dreaming if you think all the "old ladies" are out of money. Just because we ain't living in our parents' basements like the MoveOn crowd. Maybe we shoud start by kicking some of you losers out in the real world.

Oh, Calif -- Lefty Friaaell wrote If You've Got The Money, not Willia Nelson.

As if you ever had any intention of supporting Dems, Faro.

Imposter Flag!

So what's up with Obama getting 45 million in April and only 22 million in May?

Of course he reneged on his pledge to use public campaign financing.

But he is always the exception and doesn't have to follow rules--even his own!

I am glad she seems to be getting on board and trying to help the nominee. I hope her supporters on the DR will follow the lead of the woman they claim to admire.
