Buying a computer is only half the cost when you factor in the software. So here's a review of Freeware programs that get the job done. Some are old favorites, but there's some newbies on the list. Each one has been tested on XP Pro and Win 2000. Keep in mind that some of the developers depend on contributions, and others offer more robust programs for a competitive price.
