Of course, ignoring, fabricating and lying about your enemy until you illegally invade their country is a much more thought out and mature approach. If you are the superpower you claim to be, you should have no qualms in opening a dialog, as it shows you to be more evolved, more peaceful, more responsible as a player on the world stage. It's with your unending sabre-rattling, name calling and fear-mongering that you are belittling yourselves to the level of those dictators, giving them power and truisms to capitalize on when talking about the great satan that is the usa.

The more the u.s. tries to find diplomatic solutions to these conflicts, the less fire the dictators have to foment the troops.
