Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The White House said Friday that Saudi Arabia's leaders are making clear they see no reason to increase oil production until customers demand it.

President Bush was in the oil-rich country to appeal to King Abdullah for greater production to help halt rising gas prices in the United States.

Apparently the hand-holding and occasional smooch aren't doing the trick anymore. Maybe if he let's Abdullah get to 3rd base we'll get some results.

We should drill here more.

Last week another drill in Anwar bill was defeated.

ANWAR is a drop-in-the-bucket bandaid with little or no impact for years.

Well if Clinton didn't veto the 1994 drilling in Anwar bill we wouldn't be so bad off now.

"a military band played the U.S. national anthem, slightly off-key."

interesting

you think it was off-key on purpose?

haha.. as a musician... the national anthem is eeazy to play, hard to sing.

You enlightened libs are hilarious in your hypocrisy.

Not a day goes by we don't see one of you thin skinned gheys cry about homosexual slurs and then turn around, point out Jeff Gannon, holding hands with Saudis, or George Bush's package on the flight deck.

Talk about a bunch of self loathing queers...

101

gays aren't mocked

only closet gay republicans are

The Saudis said they increased output by 300,000 barrels last week and it didn't help us.

YEAH!

Really!

I heard it was cheaper for the oil companies to ship that raw crude to Japan for refinement, and that not a drop of that oil would be used here in the USA!

And anyway, ANWAR only has about six months of oil at our current rate of consumption so it's asinine to claim it would have any bearing 14 years later!

This is not a supply/demand issue. It is a profiteering issue.

We should just boil down Republicans for their fat. They are useless anyways, and you could drive a Hummer coast to coast on Cheney and Limbaugh alone.

At this time, Bush needs to take a significant step to show the saudis he's a serious Beggerer-in-Chief and not just a burnt out lame duck.

He should give up bike riding until oil hits Vernon's $30 a barrel prediction.

Bush had to have a trap door bottom put in the suits he wears to meetings with the Saudi's. This save a lot of time.(Bush says maybe built in knee pads next)

if reagan hadn't dismantled carter's energy policy, we wouldn't be in this mess.

from a speech by carter | "Beginning this moment, this nation will never use more foreign oil than we did in 1977 -- never. From now on, every new addition to our demand for energy will be met from our own production and our own conservation." By the end of the 1980s, the nation would reduce "our dependence on foreign oil by one-half."

tisn't popular to say anything good about the carter administration... indeed he wasn't a grand leader... but if his energy plan were allowed to grow into fruition, it'd be a better place in the here and now.

all the best.
