YEAH!

I thought only pussies like Obama voted "present"!

"GOP Leader John Boehner (BAY'-nur) of Ohio told Democrats they were playing political games with the crucial troop funding bill by adding to it a big increase in education benefits for troops returning from war..."

What the hell is wrong with a new GI bill?

Assholes.

What a bunch of cyrbabies and whiners these Republicans are, complaining war funding is being used for politicar purposes. The GOP has politicized the war and used it to win election and now they bitch and complain about Dems playing political games?!

It gives benefits to soldiers after they used up their usefullness to the Gay Old Party. Once they can no longer fight for Corporate America the soldiers are meaningless to the right.

That is why John Boner is against it. McLame too (because it does not encourage them to re-enlist).

No. Only pussies like Obama do it 130 times. That makes him an uberpussy.

And yes, as stated on another thread, the Repubs suck for copping out like that as well. Total pussy move, and then they claim the Dems are the ones playing games with the funding. This Congress sucks, and Pelosi has lost any semblance of control over the House.

Yeah, it certainly is Pelosi's fault all those Republicans voted "present".

NO, but it is her fault that there's no leadership or direction, though. But when has that ever been important to Democrats?

Repubbers carry politics to a new low, but what else is new? If Demos had not voted, would that have meant an end to the war? herm

Indeed the balls on her for allowing other funding to be lumped in with "EMERGENCY FUNDING".

Interesting.

Democratic leaders divided the emergency war-funding measure into three parts. The part that President Bush most wants -- money for the troops -- went down to defeat after most of his fellow Republicans, in a protest against Democrats, refused to support it.

The House approved, largely along party lines, the other two parts: setting timelines for troop withdrawals, and providing money to extend unemployment benefits and imposing a new tax on higher-income taxpayers to pay for a new veterans' education benefit. But the White House has threatened to veto those provisions.
