Why is it always douchebag hippies seek out Eastern enlightenment... and then proceed to ignore it once they find it and become part of it? Why did they come to Eastern religion in the first place? That is funny. My wife and I had a conversation about this very thing a few days ago. I wonder how many people who are fashionably Buddhist (or some other eastern religion) realize that eastern religions aren't just a combination of hedonism and yoga. In many ways eastern religions can be just as austere, if not more so, than western religions (presumably because they are western).
