Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

James Carville has been one of Hillary Clinton's most energetic defenders, but on Monday he all but declared Barack Obama will become the Democratic nominee for president. "I still hear some dogs barking," Carville said, according to The State newspaper. "I'm for Senator Clinton, but I think the great likelihood is that Obama will be the nominee."

Really?

"Carville: Obama Likely Nominee"

You Judas, shame on you!

Carville is from a bumfuck red state!

The rats are fleeing...

Good for Obama. In my opinion, Obama's only chance of winning in the general election is for him to appear to be more conservative than McCain. Seeing how McCain isn't a very strong conservative, that shouldn't be very difficult. Unless, of course, your a die-hard liberal like Obama.

Let the Presidential debates begin.

I agree! I can't wait to see McAncient stooping up there trying to explain his support for the disastrous Iraq war, while Obama judged it correctly. And then when McAncient tries to explain why he was against Bush's tax cuts for the very wealthy before he supported making them permanent, and was against torture before he voted for it, and was against intolerant preachers before he courted them, it will be a fucking hoot. Then McAncient will say, "but what about Rev. Wright? What about bitter white voters clinging to their guns and religion?," and the crowd will yawn because it will be old news (thanks, HIllary!).

I don't think having a mentor that hates white people will ever become old news to white people. I say the GOP should just let everyone knows that Hamas supports the Kenyan Muslim candidate

I want to see if McCain can wiggle his eyebrows even a little after taking all that Botox into his noggin.

Those are his eyebrows? I thought it was his pubic hair from all those facelifts.

My name is Barack Hussein Obama and I approve this message.

Praise Allah.

You guys kill me with the Muslim comments totally ignoring the Manchurian tendencies of your guy.

This guy wants to be our President and control

our government. Pay close attention to the last comment!! Below are a few lines from Obama's

books in his words:

From Dreams of My Father: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the

age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating

myself to whites."

From Dreams of My Father : "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive

sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race."

From Dreams of My Father: "There was something about him that

made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white."

From Dreams of My Father: ; "It remained necessary to prove which

side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike

out and name names."

From Dreams of My Father: "I never emulate white men and brown

men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father 's

image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes

I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the

political winds shift in an ugly direction."

If the rats are fleeing then the elephant should be scared. Nothing like a united party to scare the other party.

oh yeah, one more from Dreams of My Father,

"white folks, thats just the way they'll do ya."

Thank you Scooter. We really needed some quotations taken out of context and conveniently provided to you by some right wing wackos. Or are you going to try to tell us you read any of Obama's books???

Balack Hussein Obomba approves this message.

Carville. What a fucking savante.

We really needed some quotations taken out of context

Danni,
Not sure what defensible context exists for Obama's saying "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.", unless he is quoting from Lawrence of Arabia. I have not read Obie's books, but I did Google the quote and found that it is more accurately as follows, and honestly in context his intent is not sinister.

The actual quote from the book is from page 261 and is as follows: "Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

Obama is still dangerous, not for any perceived terrorist leanings but because, in my estimation, he is an amateur who has no clue what he is getting himself into -- he is only planning as far as the wedding, with no plan for the marriage beyond it. But bad facts on here, regardless of the target, should be corrected.

EDWARDS JUST ENDORSED OBAMA!

Given the context of the "standing with the Muslims" quote, there is absolutely nothing wrong anti-American about what Obama said. And given the fact that he's never been a Muslim ever, nobody should be even alarmed about this quote. Nobody non-ignorant, that is.

100% of Scooter's quotes are misleading and taken out of context. Anyone with half a brain who's actually read Obama's books knows that Scooter is full of shit.

Obama is likely the next president.

The talking skull has seen the writing on the wall and lo it said unto him:

"Quit backing the zombie Clinton or yer doomed to irrelevance!"

Too little, too late, Skeletor.

Get yer pathetic whiny, unintelligible, southern fried ass back to the Clinton News Network while you can still find work and eke out another thirty pieces of silver to retire on.

Failing that? STFU and go DIAF.

Thanx a bunch.

Be Well.

/A little Ugly? A little Angry? Sorry, but the asswipe who wrote a letter to the judge in the Scooter Libby case asking for leniency who later called Richardson a "Judas" fer backing Obama gets no sympathy from Spud.
//Zip, Nada, Zilch.
///Maybe a nomination for the "Hypocrite of the Year" award but that's about it.

Scooter your posting if full of quotes out of context and some that are just flat out wrong.

For instace: "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race."

If you've read the book you know he's talking about his own self discovery and finding his racial identity which he compares to the discovery some people go through when first meeting him. He followed your out of context quote with this:
"I see the split-second adjustments they have to make, the searching of my eyes for some tell-tale sign. They no longer know who I am. Privately, they guess at my troubled heart, I supposethe mixed blood, the divided soul, the ghostly image of the tragic mulatto trapped between two worlds. And if I were to explain that no, the tragedy is not mine, or at least not mine alone, it is yours, daughter of Plymouth Rock and Ellis Island, it is yours, children of Africa, it's on the nightly news for all to see, and that if we could acknowledge at least that much then the tragic cycle begins to break down ... well, I suspect that I sound incurably naive, wedded to lost hopes ... .Or worse, I sound like I'm trying to hide from myself."

You also say he wrote:
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

This is not only out of context but is also an intentional misquote to completely alter what he actually said which was this:

"In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

100% of Scooter's quotes are misleading and taken out of context. Anyone with half a brain who's actually read Obama's books knows that Scooter is full of shit.

I hope you're right, Scrumplet. However, the quotes are quite damning. Especially this one: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

In my opinion, Obama is not a true Red, White, and Blue American. Otherwise, he wouldn't have made the mistake of referring to America as the 57 states. The more we learn about Obama, the less appealing he is becoming.

R4E, as I posted above, that specific quote you mention is a misquote. See my above post for the actual wording and context.
