Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

You have to admit it takes guts. Audacity, even.

Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive nominee of the Democrats, has in essence just defeated the heiress of the Clinton era by campaigning as the heir-apparent of the Carter era.

Do you ever make a post that is not about Carter? We get it already, you dont like him. Hell, I dont like him much either but not everything is about Carter.

I couldn't Kerrin less.

If it means the president after that will be a Reagan, then fine.

jomama taught you how to make those lame jokes?

Member, being called lame by you is, well, kind of sad, really. Poor old tard. You take a nice nap now.

YEAH!

Has it been Fifty Years Already?

Anyway, this is an appropriate thread to once again bring forth the obvious!

When Carter Left Office, America was well on track to eliminate ALL imported oil from the ME (hence why they were so angry). If we had "Stayed the Course" then, 9-11 would never have happened and I would probably have my Jetson car!
Then came Reagan, who cuddled up to the Saudis and went on to create, empowered and then Arm what was to become al Qaeda while simultaneously creating an arms race that ultimately produced the arms that Rice referred to as a "threat" to the USA in her "Mushroom Cloud" Scare America scenario!
Now with this observation in hand, one can surmise that there is some truth to this Fifty Year to Judgment Rhetoric!

As time goes by, Carter is repeatedly Vindicated by the passage of time while Reagan's air diminishes (of course Hannitiitie claiming Bush was "Just Like Reagan" didn't help either)! In addition to that, as time transpires, Bushs legacy becomes more dismal by the passing minute!

So perhaps in another 20 years (the fifty you all said was needed) Carter will be seen as a visionary while Reagan and Bush are relegated to their appropriate tier ------ that of con-artist thieves who steal from the future generations!

I never really understood why Reagan was so popular. I was 6 when he left office. Any of you old fucks wanna fill me in on his greatness?

Maybe in your little universe ...RED.

Obama is the same as Carter on many levels--

Tax the wealthy and crush the economy--Tax the oil company profits so that gas will go thru the roof more than it is already..

Soft on crime--hates guns--

Meet with the enemies of the US without conditions--same.

Been there--done that---No Thanks!

Ness --why don't you google Reagans' speeches and read them--He was quite good, humorous and inspirational and level headed.

Murphy

ness he also hated gays

Folks have to remeber the misery index of Carter--of course the MSM will not bring it up--least they tarnish the substance Obama beings to the masses.

He has the same BS that was the worse for this country--but let's not talk aobut that--

That would be racist.

For a guy always crying unfair .... maybe you need to get your info from sources other than watching hate movies.

www.nationalreview.com
"from 1984 onward -- and bear in mind that the AIDS virus was not identified until 1982 -- every Reagan budget contained a large sum of money specifically earmarked for AIDS,"

"reagan was silent on aids because it was a "gay" disease"

YEAH!

I can now see where you got that "he was an inspiration" part!

The biggest mistake this country has made in the past fifty years was choosing not to impeach Ronnie Raygun for Iran Contra.
As Redneck says above, had we continued Carter's energy policies we would not be importing oil from the ME and millions of fools still think Reagan was a great president. History will view Reagan as the beginning of America's descent to 2nd world status.

"Tax the wealthy and crush the economy"
Er....Bush pushed through the largest tax cut in history....resulting in.....the largest deficit in history, inflation and $4.00 gas. For crying out loud...the average American homeowner just lost $80,000 in home equity value. All because of those idiotic greedy tax cuts for the rich.

"Tax the oil company profits so that gas will go thru the roof more than it is already.."

TAxation is based on profit not gross sales. Are you trying to say that oil companies operate as a cartel that will raise prices if their profits are taxed??? If there is truely competition then that would not be a likely scenario. Make up your mind, either the oil companies operate as a monopolistic cartel that should be broken up to increase competition or raising taxes on oil company profits would cost the stock holders not the consumer.

Ness --why don't you google Reagans' speeches and read them--He was quite good, humorous and inspirational and level headed.

YEAH!

Are you under the impression he wrote his own speeches too?

Fuck, you people will believe anything wont you!

"Meet with the enemies of the US without conditions--same."

Hmm...how is that peace treaty between Israel and Egypt these days?? STill holding steady...I thought so.

"For a guy always crying unfair"

haha yea
your right
i'm always crying unfair

funny coming from a righty on a left wing blog always crying unfair constantly

and redneck
i was giving the reasons people say

i'm no reagan lover

i actually like carter

Jimmy Carter's presidency was devastated by the Iranian hostage crises. I'd like to know what clever fix Ronnie would have had for that other than negotiating before the inauguration to arrange the release AFTER Reagan's inauguration. Never absolutely proven but most folks believe it to be true. Disgusting, treasonous.

btw kerrin

i just state my opinion

i'm not crying unfair

i personally know that being a muslim american people have stereo types of me

you probably think i look a certain way just cause i say muslim

its going to happen

but in the end it doesn't matter
this is just a blog
and i come for the flame
not to change minds

YEAH!

No Doubt!

I would have my flying Jeston Car, we would be enjoying a sustainable economy and a clean environment, and we would have created the Future instead of just stealing from it!

Thanks to Reagan and the Bush's ------ we have Subcontracted our Future out to the ME!

Now, Everything depends on what happens --- OVER THERE!

"we have Subcontracted our Future out to the ME"

you mean china

Look at this liberal idiot Danni.

He equates tax cuts to oil prices going up.

Danni, does stupid run in your family or are you the black sheep village idiot?

Kuma

"He equates tax cuts to oil prices going up."

Thank you KUMA, that was priceless.

Ask one of your rightie friends why I am laughing my ass off right now ok???

YEAH!

If China stopped sending over their plastic gizmos most of us wouldn't suffer.

However, if the oil stops flowing from the ME they way things are right now, were screwed!

That's what I mean when I said we have subcontracted our Future to the ME!

redneck

agreed fully

but in order to pay for the wars in the ME to keep the oil flowing we have to borrow money from daddy i mean china.

we have Subcontracted our Future out to the ME!

Red...you really need to be thanking the left wing liberal enviro wackos.

At least Carter wanted to develop nuke and coal.

LOL, ok at face value, which this does not deserve.

A second term for Carter against a third term for Chimpy.

Do you really think that makes McSame more appealing?

Danni is a loon that is addicted to the internet. If, If, If.... Blah, Blah, Blah. YOu got to love her bullshit.
If Patton was allowed to crush Stalin after WWII we would not have an oil crisis. If The Rebel Alliance had not destroyed the Death Star a long time ago in a galaxy far,far away Earth would have been destroyed a long time ago just like Aldaran. If the fantastic Four had not stopped the Silver Surfer Earth would have been destroyed....

Blah , Blah, Blah. Danni needs to get a hobby besides being bitter in front of a computer

I do everyday that another river doesn't catch fire! I do it every time I take my kids to a National Park --- Such as Yellowstone! I thank them every time I take kids fishing and Hunting or simply drink a glass of clean pure water and breathe fresh clean air!

I thank them Everyday for fighting to preserve these things for the future generations!

And you should too!

However on the other hand I bitterly condemn an industry that limits capacity to manipulate price (i.e. years of refineries running at a reduce capacity) one that profits from abusing the earth at our expense and an administration that crafted a super secret "Energy Policy" NOT to make energy more clean, abundant and affordable, but rather what you see today --- More Lucrative and Profitable (at the expense of Every America)!

Such as Yellowstone

Red...Thank a republican.

Red ... again... thank a republican for creating the EPA

YEAH!

You are aware that by the end of WW2 Russia was an Ally of the USA and that Berlin was divided among the four allied Powers (Americans, British, French and Soviets.)

And within a year of all this Patton was already dead!

You seem to be in desperate need of a history book instead of worrying about what danni has as his hobby!

Hey Redneckville. Maybe you should brush up on your WWII history. It is well known that Patton said openly that America attacked the wrong enemy in WWII. Perhaps you should pick up a history book instead of reading comic books.

Patton was relieved of his commnad by Eisenhower for this very reason

...General Patton was dreaming of rearming a couple of Waffen SS divisions to incorporate them into his US Third Army "and lead them against the Reds". Patton had put this plan quite seriously to General Joseph T. McNarney, deputy US military governor in Germany, who had relayed Marshall Zhukov's complaint that the Third Army was too slow in disbanding and confining German units in its Bavarian sector. "What do you think those ****** bolshies think?" said Patton. "We're going to have to fight them sooner or later. Why not now while our army is intact and we can kick the Red Army back into Russia? We can do it with my Germans..."

McNarney, petrified, reported this to his political advisor, Robert Murphy, who promptly asked Patton to come and see him. Patton was not in the least subdued. "He inquired with a gleam in his eye", Murphy later wrote, "whether there was any chance of going on to Moscow, which he said he could reach in thirty days, instead of waiting for the Russians to attack the United States." The outcome of this and other indiscretions was that Eisenhower relieved Patton of his command on October 2, 1945. Two months later he was fatally injured in a car crash.

TIMBCI
Why wouldn't you want Danni stating her opinion? Unlike two second YOmama bits...she brings differing views to the conversation. I kinda like the give and take. Why would you want to participate with people who just ditto each other?

DANNI...now don't get all excited ...but you have mellowed my take on Carter as far as his ideas on energy.
He saw our growing dependency on the ME oil. Some of his solutions were spot on, if enviro wackos hadn't stopped progress.
