Remember when you hear folks claim this is a "Christian Nation" it is a slippery slope.

In many ways Malaysia is a progressive society. But it is still an openly racist and discriminating society. For one, non-Malays and non-Muslims have less rights and less privilege in accessing the nations' benefits.

Leaving Islam? That is like trying to leave the mob, you can leave it only in one way, dead. I am sure that even though the court "allows" it, the fanatics won't agree.

She was a CONVERT to islam. She wasn't Born that way (like a good christian is). Or even Born-Again that way (like a reeeeaaaal goooood christian is). Nope. She was a convert who wasn't counseled properly - meaning she wasn't Muslim.

That is the only reason why she was allowed to leave. There is NO modernity here, none what-so-ever.
