Fark's headline for this was "George McGovern abandons the Clintanic." *snickers*

I voted for you George, but now I hate you.

I truly do,

Corky

Dammit Ride, you beat me to that.

I know, I know. Monkeys everywhere are insulted.

Too bad George didn't listen to his own advice when he was running for president. He won only one state. Maybe he can lend his expertise to Obama.

And just like the musicians on the deck of the Titanic, Hillary's going to keep playing until the ship is fully submerged.

Just wait till Dukakis and Kerry really put the pressure on her.

NO WAY, SHE KEEPS ON FIGHTING...YOU GO..GIRL...

Now that the earth is cooling thanks to Al Gore, he could step in and help out the dems.

As predicted, Obama picked up four superdels today, one from Hillary, which sort of cancels out her pick up of one today from western NC.

Which makes me want to post this for some reason

"oops there goes another rubber tree plant"

Awww.... what happened? I heard the Big O would get 12 or 15 or 20 delegates today?

Hillary should continue but she has to tone it down. It is blatantly obvious that she wants tobe president for personal reasons. It may have soething to do with a grnd plan that she and Bill created shortly after college.

It is Hills fault if Obama does not get the POTUS nod. She has destroyed him. But yet.. he is still standing. Even after all the punches he took, who would think he would, at the least, be tied with McCain. If Hill supporters would stop being assholes and in disguise recist, they would be able to get behind and support Obama so that we can watch his lead over McCan rocket.

"My friends, Today a black man is running for the highest office in the land. My friends, America's purpose has shed light on yesterdays truths. Not just the injustices that stand hehind that the we never talk about, but everything that we always talk about. My friends, today we stand in unity, today we stand together, strong and tall. ANd my frineds, please know this, the day we elecy a black man to lead this country is the day Cindy and I spray paint our faces negro."

Damn, McGovern, Dukakis and Kerry all headed up by algore. Wat a bunch of winners, or is that weeners? Thats the cream of the crop.

look at the republicans tools here trying to be funny.

After watching the returns from the North Carolina and Indiana primaries Tuesday night, McGovern says it's virtually impossible for Clinton to win the nomination.

McGovern says he is calling former President Clinton to tell him of the decision and adds that he remains close friends with the Clintons.

* * * *

He'll be calling former President Clinton to tell him of the decision . . . but not before calling Time Magazine first.
I take the back seat to no one in my revulsion of the Clintons. But this seems kind of rude. No "close friend" of mine would call the media before trying to speak with me--why couldn't McGovern afford his so-called friends the same courtesy?

Good News in all this:

Obviously that fat assed pencil-prick moron, Rush Limbaugh, doessn't have as much pull over america as he thinks he does.

Fortunately he can just gobble a handful of his 'relaximakers' then kick back for the Idol's Results show tonight.

Awww.... what happened? I heard the Big O would get 12 or 15 or 20 delegates today?

He did. His net delegate count from last night and the supers puts him right there.

Expect to hear about a wave of supers coming out for him over the next couple of weeks.

Remember that 100 DNC Superdelegate lead Hillary had in January? Well, It's now down to an 11 super lead for the Hill

No, the big talk, as usual, was a tsunami of SDs coming out for Obama today.

Didn't happen.

Delegate count:

Obama - 1848 (52%)
Clinton - 1693 (48%)
www.realclearpolitics.com

According to NBC, Obama gained 4 while Clinton gained 1. Clinton gained 2 but lost 1 to Obama so only netted 1. The two gains that Clinton had were because they backed whomever won their district.

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Obama won a superdelegate switch, the campaign confirms. AP first reported that Virginia's Jennifer McClellan had switched her support from Clinton to Obama.

The day in delegates: Obama 4, Clinton 1
This is the fourth superdelegate endorsement Obama has won today. Clinton has netted one: She lost McClellan, but won the endorsements of Rep. Heath Shuler (NC-11), who said he'd back who won his district. NBC's Mike Viqueira reports Rep. Brad Ellsworth (IN-8) is also backing Clinton, since she won his district last night as well.

The Delegate Counts:
PLEDGED: Obama 1,588-1,422
SUPERDELEGATES: Clinton 273.5-260
OVERALL: 1,848-1.695.5

a retard telling you you're a dummy.

That's gotta hurt!

Damn, I don't even feel like laughing anymore. It's not funny any more.a

Seriously, is this really big news? Does anyone pay attention to George McGovern, the loser of the biggest landslide election in American history?

The drip-drip-drip-chinese-water-
torture-method is not only better but less embarrasin for Clinton. I was listening to a radio program today where they were making this point. Obama has to be careful not to alienate Clinton supporters and embarrasing Clinton is pointless considering he will be ahead in delegates anyways.

Well, lets add another name in the pile of people responsible for the collapse of the democratic party.

Name added:

McGovern.

Check. Added.

Kuma

Yeah Dems if you want to be electable listen to KKKuma, he knows what he is talking about, lol!

maybe I should tell my wife I am KKK. Shes not white.

Is that all you stupid dumb liberals got? KKK? Is that it?

You can;t dispute your lame, loser candidate Obama sucks really bad, so you call me KKK.

Hey pal, Obama sucks, not electable.

What the fuck are you going to do about it? Nothing. Your spinless.

Kuma

"Your spinless."

(chuckle)

McGovern himself was the victim of some early Republican swift-boating. They got him over his first veep choice, who had some undisclosed all-to-human problems once, and over his poorly phrased pledge to give some tax moneys back, which Bush is now doing for the second time. But Bush benefits the rich first. Anyway, McGovern never could recoup once the biting began. He suffered a strong taste of what The Uglies will throw at O'Bama. herm

"your stupid"

The classic self-retorting retort.

Obviously that fat assed pencil-prick moron, Rush Limbaugh, doessn't have as much pull over america as he thinks he does.

I guess you would know if anybody would as to the size of his dick. Have you seen it real close?

He lost 49 states, Herm. That's the understatement of the day.

"He lost 49 states, Herm. That's the understatement of the day."

I do appreciate the history lesson, R, but we're talking about WHY he lost those states. We're talking Repub tactics, R, the ultimate in criminal ugliness. And they'll ALL be in full use this fall. herm

"No, the big talk, as usual, was a tsunami of SDs coming out for Obama today."

Wrong again Corkypoos, (you must get really tired of being in that position) George (Bill's golden boy) Snuffleupagus said

"Stephanopoulos says Obama superdels "will come three, four, five at a time, and this nomination will be locked up.""

No one said the superdels would all declare in one day, even Snuffleupagus said three, four, five at a time. Nice try though Corkypoos, check your e-mail I am sure Howie has some new talking points for you.

I thought McGovern was dead!..(oh, sorry, it is the Clinton campaign that is dead)

look at the republicans tools here trying to be funny.

Yo, and their predictions will no doubt be fulfilled as will those of their president who has predicted big gains for the GOP in November.

Bush's predictions of big GOP gains in 2006 were right on the money.

I do appreciate the history lesson, R, but we're talking about WHY he lost those states. We're talking Repub tactics, R, the ultimate in criminal ugliness. And they'll ALL be in full use this fall. herm

Uh huh. If it weren't for those evil Republicans, he might've won . . . 3 states? 4? Was it those rascally Republicans that denied McGovern even his home state? After all, they knew him best.

McGovern's '72 loss to Nixon is proof again that the one with the most integrity doesn't always win. Heck, not only was Nixon a crook, but his 'secret plan' to end the Vietnam War was nothing but a bald faced lie to get votes. Sounds all too familiar in light of W

I can;t wait for Hillary to say what she is thinking. And when she says it, the democrats themselves will know they are doomed.

"Obama is not electable"

Game over man! GAME OVER!

KUMA

I think you're being too optomistic.

McSame is this years Bob Dole. Too old and now too joined at the hip to the most unpopular president in decades.

That picture of him hugging W will be burned in people's brains before this is all said and done.
< a href="http://graphics7.nytimes.com/images/2004/08/10/politics/mills650.jpg">"I LOVE YOU GEORGE!! BFF's FOREVER!

W's a LOT more of a liability to McSame than Wright will ever be to Obama.

Then there's the matter of McSame changing positions on everything he used to stand for. To quote Tadowe, "He's sold his soul for 32 pieces of silver" (the 32 is Tadowe's recollection of Judas/Jesus).

Oops!

Here's that pic:

I LOVE YOU GEORGE! Will you be my BFF?

At least now the real race can begin, and that is already over before the gate is even open.

Baghdad bob mccain will be lucky to win as many states as mcgovern.
