Well the committee shouldn't even bother to look at the application since the smoking of the joint did not result in the woman's untimley death. An event that is a requirement for Darwin Award Nomination.

If only everyone who gets arrested for pot would force the government to hold trials and do every other thing possible to slow down the process, disrupt the justice system with too many cases, waste as much time of prosecutors and judges as possible and make it as difficult and expensive as possible for the state to prosecute such a ridiculous charge. And...Murphy, you don't know if the defendant was even guilty....remember when we were innocent until proven guilty in America....but that was a different America.

So, whenever someone is accused of a crime they should just plead out when likely told to do so?

You're right on target with that analogy. How stupid can one get? First of all, the defendant is on trial for possession. That should have been clue number one for the juror to not light-up. Secondly, the juror decides to light-up anyway, and just right outside of the courtroom, where usually numerous deputies and sheriffs are present. What was this juror thinking? Probably wasn't thinking much at much at all, because he (or she) is a pothead. Yep, stupid is as stupid does. You've got to love the irony.

If you're over forty and still haven't kicked the habit, you need help. Sadly, I think many of the DR lefties fall into this last category. Heck, some of them proudly admit their illegal activities.

Once upon a time, alcohol was rendered illegal. There was even a Constitutional amendment to prohibit the manufacture, sale, and use of alcohol. Then by yet another Constitutional amendment, it was magically made legal again. Woo-hoo!
