Ron Paul on CNN "The Situation Room" W/ Wolf Blitzer 5/2/08

Ron Paul won't endorse McCain (rightly so).

No, no, he doesn't endorse Obama, but .... (watch and find out).

"No, no, he doesn't endorse Obama, but .... (watch and find out)."

Why don't you just give us the reader's digest version? I'm not going to watch a 6 minute interview to "find out".

This speaks volumes about the American citizen.

Since you're lazy, I'll do the leg work for you.

Hey says that Obama may be slightly better than the other three in foreign policy, and he may get us out of Iraq. He then says that Obama would just spend the money elsewhere, instead of cutting spending and working for a balanced budget.

This speaks volumes about the American citizen.

I would love to hear an explanation from you of what it says about the American citizen.

Paul's Book Hits No. 1 on Amazon

Number one on Amazon won't buy him a ringside seat at the GOP convention.

I like Ron Paul as the one Repub who could stand up there and say the Iraq war was/is stupid.

But... we have to have a Dem President and Congress
and excise the Neo-Cons from all positions of power, and especially from the Pentagon.

Obama may be able to do that. My gut instincts tell me that Hillary would continue playing patty cake with the Neo-Cons.

Yome,

NeoCons do need to move on, but Ron Paul is less NeoCon than Mcain, Obama, and Clinton. Ron Paul is an ACTUAL conservative. Please try to understand the difference. And no we don't "we have to have a Dem President and Congress." Unless you're a fan of the status quo...because nothing would change.

If Paul says that Obama won't work toward a balanced budget then he's wrong.

oh?

What really distinqishes Ron Paul from most Politicians is his honesty. It is VERY REFRESHING. His Foriegn Policy is spot on and his unique approach to Domestic Policy is probably OK if he adheres to gradual change.

Rapid, Radical change at the Federal level opens endless opportunities for the rich to fuck us all over. Waffling is expensive.

Those Ron Paul fanatics must be flooding the Amazon, just like they flooded every single poll after every GOP primary debate (those in which he was allowed by the media gods to participate) to say that he 'won.' Eh? Eh?

I went and caucused for him in Iowa with a big Ron Paul button on my forehead; there were like 3 or 4 other Ron Paul supporters there, not including my wife. There were dozens of Huckabee and Romney supporters, but half a dozen Paul supporters. It was annoying as hell; I guess my expectations were a little high because of him kicking ass in fundraising and what not.

This makes it more annoying. He "seems" to have all kinds of support, but it didn't end up translating into anything more than a few votes here and there.

LoD,

He "seems" to have all kinds of support, but it didn't end up translating into anything more than a few votes here and there.

I think most of his support was tied to those who frequent the internet. However, those numbers added up to very little when compared with the more traditional voting bloc.

I think the problem with most Libertarian types is that we are rather skeptical of anything organized. We are very independent and a little cynical as far as showing up to show support people or causes. And when we do show up we usually show up armed. It's easier for us to send a check and mind our own business.

Stir,

You raise a valid point IMO.
