All of your medical records are now available to anyone that wants to buy them. This needs to stop.

This is definitely needed. No one should be denied something because of who they are. If you have a genetic heart condition (for the slow people this means you don't have a heart condition but your genetics say you have good odds of getting one) you should not be denied health insurance.

I can't imagine anyone being against this other than rich people who are bigots. But those people don't matter and no one likes them anyway. Mean people suck in other words.

No ... thats not what this bill is. This bill is to prevent insurance companies from denying you health insurance because of genetics. Such as increased risk of diabetes. Or prevent companies from firing you because you have a high risk of getting cancer. Not that you have it just high risk because of your genetics. Which you would then lose your health insurance.

It's really not that complicated if you stay in school.

as a person living with CF this is a great stride forward for those diagnosed at or before birth, getting heath insurance for them was nearly impossible I was lucky enough to be misdiagnosed until I was 30 so I had health ins. already. so Great Job Congress you got one right!!

Why doesn't congress do somehting that actually matters to the Country.

Is it too much to ask for :

1) fixing Social Security
2) Fixing Taxes
3) Securing the Border
4) Balancing the Budget
5) Funding Education

Oh wait, those are things that ARE important something will ever be done... The people need to replace all members of Congress in this election coming up. They have a lower approval rating than the President and are even more lame-duck...

Of course, we have to remember how much luck Congress had in banning racial discrimination!
