An appeal case from a lower court challenging the Constitutionality of Roe v. Wade would have to make it's way to the SCOTUS. IF the SCOTUS were to rule in a way that overturned Roe v. Wade, that would NOT make abortion illegal, it would merely send the matter to what many feel is it's rightful jurisdiction, the individual states.

The SCOTUS ruled that partial birth abortion law in Kansas (?) is upheld and against the law there.

The rest of the states are following or will follow.

It will be on the ballot in a number of states in November--just in time to bring out the conservative voters.

art is meant to be judged. I find a lot of art shit. Doesn't mean I would condemn it from being shown as art. Just my taste. As for this "fetus art" I find it quite digusting but it does make one think. I'm not a big fan of shock art. But one guido's can of shit is another's $30,000 art investment.

Sorry, Spud. Pretty sure I never said a woman couldn't abort a child if she wanted to. That is her decision but it doesn't change the fact the she ended the child's life. It makes it easier for her to rationalize killing the child by only referring to it as a fetus or tissue so she doesn't feel so bad. She chose to end a human life, mostly for personal convenience according to the opinions offered here. It is not like the child (the consequence of her actions) was threatening her life, it was just going to interrupt her plans for her future. So kill away.

I don't have to look at you in the mirror. I also don't have approve of her selfish decision. Everyone sets their own moral boundaries, and some are a hell of a lot smaller and selfish than others. As long as there are no consequences for your choices, you're bound to do whatever the hell you want.
If the measure of having a "true" conscience (whatever you are implying by that) or intelligence is being able rationalize the killing of unborn humans, then I say you have very skewed and low standards. Other than giving it another name, what makes killing an unborn child out of convenience any different than killing old people because they're too burdensome or purposely killing innocent civilians because they are in your way? To me all three are murder. Just be a man/woman and have the balls to admit that you're killing a child. Don't be a coward and hide behind your rhetoric that makes you feel better about yourself.

And I think you Nancy's can do better than Potty. I know 8 year olds with sharper wits.

"We are pro-life because a new born child has the potential to change the world." We're not talking about newborn kids. We're talking fetuses that have the potential of becoming newborn kids if she does not opt to interrupt the pregnancy.

I've posted before about a 1980 world convocation of theologians in Geneva to try to determine when life begins. When they couldn't decide between conception and birth, alpha brain waves and fetal heartbeat were offered as compromises. Clerics said "gee," and kept on beating each other up. It's *reasonable,* to be sure, but we have no right to push that definition onto others.

You'd gauge just HOW pregnant she is, and still not please those who think fertilized eggs are people; peoplehood is not less for the rape or incest ...
