These are not prisoners of war, and are not covered by the Geneva Convention. We are not at war dumbass, and if we were, the United States no longer recognizes the Geneva Convention--at least as far as Cheny and Bush are concerned. It too is just another Goddamned piece of paper.

What's far more alarming than the rough interrogation of suspects is the concept that the President can simply override the law. For me, the concept is abominable, and its practice is treason, as it is a direct and willing violation of the constitution and the sworn oath to defend and preserve it.

I like the fact that these mutts get treated inhumanely. Simple incarceration and/or death isn't good enough for that kind of scum, they need some additional pain and punishment before their cards get punched.

Most of the laws passed in the last 100 years wouldn't pass the constitunal test if anybody would ever bother to read 'that damn piece of paper'.

The constitution is very clear about the role of the federal government.

It's not so much that this discussion is even happening. It's that our embarrassing specimens - the bogus paratrooper, Wobbele, the sniper, Vermin - actually post in favor of torture.

Why should we follow it? Just because they aren't affiliated with a country doesn't mean they get to break the rules. They didn't ratify the Geneva convention.

No judge, no jury, just torture and information retrieval to prevent future such events. If they declared war on us like civilized people and attacked military targets, yea, they deserve to be treated better.
