Can any small businessman on the DR who would like to hawk his wares do so on the DR nooner, much as Hans hawks his radio show? As a greedy capitalist trying to make an extra buck or two, I am always looking for any way to help. If I can exploit the nooner to do so, (without spamming, of course. Once or twice a week maybe) I will not hesitate to do so.

I don't see the problem with promotions of their shows. If I'm not interested in a particular poster or post I just skip it.

As far as being able to promote a small business or company on here, well I don't see how that would even be benificial. This site doesnt get allot of traffic and the people on here are from all walks and places, a demographic range that would be hard to cater or market to.

The higher the number the newer the poster.
Low numbered posters are the ones who were around when DR first began but it's not always an accurate reading because some posters who were here in the very beginning of DR have dropped off completely. The number rating fluctuates as posters drop off and/or return.

ddenton, it has to do with seniority. The first person to sign on was assigned number 1. everyone comes after that. So you are the 713th user to signup.

I'm not real sure myself but I know if you have not posted in awhile all your comments get dropped. Tadowe has not posted and his comments have been dropped and when another poster didn't post for a couple of weeks all his prior posts under his name were deleted.

If you come back to post after a long absence (months?) I'm not sure if you get your seniority place back or not. Maybe some on here who have been long time regulars can tell you.

All I know is that if you want to keep you posting history under your name you better post at least once a week or more or your previous posts will all be deleted. Guess it's to save bandwidth.

Maybe Rcade could give us the hard and fast rule?

I believe that new posters do not get seniority assigned to them right away. Perhaps a delay of some type between establishing the account and beginning to post, and their seniority assigned.

And I have seen it change. The top four today are:
