Gravel a Libertarian? I don't know. I guess not all Libertarians think alike, but I am not sure I would consider him a Libertarian. If he was the LP nominee, I would have to know more about what his plans are.

Well, why don't we just merge the GOP and Dem, after all, they are both about the same on the issues, more war, more spending, more regulations, etc.

You know, considering the condition that Democrats and Republicans have put America in, I wouldn't mind being in the minority next to them.

Well, at least I may have another option to "waste" my vote on when the "legitimate" parties nominate a couple of pro-war corporate whores like McCain and Clinton.

I have a lot of respect for Mike Gravel but he ain't no Libertarian and I should know cause I am a bona fide Lib.

It'd be better if he formed a new party cause I agree he doesn't fit into the Democratic Party mold since other than his proposed one-size-fits-all-single-payer national health care plan he's not Socialist enough to compete with the other Dems.

Actually, I use to hear it said that hippies are pot smoking republicans, as they USE to be about shrinking the government (a former republican trait) and doing away with regulations. It's sort of funny that most modern and former hippies are so associated with the democratic party.

I like Mike Gravel. He's not a libertarian, but he's certainly a good and honest politician. I hope more democrats start thinking more like him. If the Democrats were more like Gravel and the Republicans more like Paul we might have a functional nation that is dead set on throwing money away and bullying other countries for no real good reason.

I'm not surprised. Gravel espouses a lot of Libertarian beliefs and respected a lot of what Ron Paul was campaigning on. He seems like a good man and a good addition to the party.

How about a Paul-Gravel third party run? Better yet, Gravel-Paul herm

I see this as good news! Now if Clinton and Obama would just move to the Democratic Socialist Party and let McCane have the Democratic party things would be a little more in order. Follow my plan and all wil be right with the world. Deviate in the slightest and we're screwed!

Paul is really more of a Constitutionalist than a Libertarian. It's more likely a Root/Gravel ticket as it seems Wayne has this thing wrapped up.
