Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Sen. Barack Obama was projected to add to his string of recent victories with a substantial triumph over Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primaries in Virginia, Maryland and D.C., NBC News reported Tuesday. Among Republicans, Sen. John McCain won in both states and D.C. over Gov. Mike Huckabee.

YES WE CAN!

After the Potomac sweep, Obama is going to be riding a momentum wave that will probably deliver him Wisconsin, Texas, and maybe a good chunk of Ohio. If that happens, then Hill-Billy is toast.

She is already toast, Righto. You can take that to the bank.

She is already toast, Righto. You can take that to the bank.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Hillary could win TX, OH and PA. She is the frontrunner and the incumbent here, and she has a lot of tricks left up her sleeve.

ROC - wait, it doesn't matter, all these people who have been voting for Obama do not matter, they are latte liberals, they are blacks, they are "people who think Hillary Clinton sucks" so they don't matter, they took part in caucuses so they don't matter, none of them matter, the only people who matter are the ones who vote for the Hilderbeast. Just remember that when Corky posts tomorrow that the results, "do not matter" all that matters is Texas and Ohio, lets just have Texas and Ohio decide who should be the president of the United States, it used to be Iowa, but no wait.....

Taxman - what do you mean by "she is...the incumbent here"?

Add on to that the fact that Bill and Daddy Bush arethisclose and that now Bill has become as much of a globalist/corporatist (think NAFTA) as the New World Order Bushes.

Vote Clinton -- get Bush.

Actually what is happening (at least in Va. Not sure about everywhere else) is that there is MASSIVE cross over from Republicans voting in the Dem primary.

I talked to several (as I am a Rep. as if you could not guess) friends and they all voted in the Dem. primary as a way to insure Hillary would not get to be a choice for President...its not that they like Obama...its that they hate Hillary and are not too pleased with McCain.

At least voting for Barack gave them a real say in the presidential process.

I bet if you check the other primary's you will find that Barack really cleaned up in the open primary's but the closed ones he either lost or won by a small margin.

Usually, the idea is to state a fact or statistic and then provide a link to your source. Not to just pull something out of your ass. Why don't you go ride the Google for 5 minutes before you make such a statement and save yourself the trouble of looking like an idiot.

Or you could be right, and then you could feel extra righteous, but you really should do the work first and the spouting second.

Yea foshaffer, you need to be raising the level of dialog on the DR.....just like TFDHIHILIST does.....way too f'in funny! Do the research, provide the proof....and then, and only then, are you to make a comment. Unless you are a DR Lefty. Then spout away with whatever drivel you like and believe as they do that it is all relevant and the truth and nothing but the truth. That TFD post may be the funniest I've ever observed here.

"Actually what is happening (at least in Va. Not sure about everywhere else) is that there is MASSIVE cross over from Republicans voting in the Dem primary."

Ya think? Or could it ba a fact that Hillary RodHam Clinton turns everyones stomach?

Goodbye hillary. Don't write.

Corky, was taken to Miami General Hospital for observation.

Shows what you know about I-75 (Allegator Alley)

Cleveland Clinic was closer.

Sorry, Corky. But unless Hillary Clinton shows some huge gains in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania and hangs onto her super delegates, we'll have to throw our support to Obama. It's the party that counts, not the person.

If the Senate swings overwhelmingingly Democrat, Obama may dodge the bullet. If not, I have a feeling the neo-cons are drafting an impeachment inquiry as we speak.

I still think Hillary Clinton will get the nomination but I'm also prepared to support Obama if she doesn't. I just feel a little sorry for him, that's all. He's way too young for the grist mill.

CNN is estimating that the win in Virginia gives Obama 1,170 delegates to Clinton's 1,168. Those totals include the superdelegates!

Wow....he's kicking her ass!

TFD - I stated the fact of what was happening in Va. I made an educated guess what was happening generically - if proven wrong in the others ..so be it...Nothing idiotic in either statement

Since you made an issue out of it I did go back and check...of the 14 he has won (not counting DC) 5 were closed (or kind of closed) and the rest were either open primary's or caucuses that you could cross over in.

Of those 5 he killed Hillary in 2 (Colorado and Kansas) - the other 3 (like Connecticut) it was very close.

Of the 12 Hillary has won only 4 were Open Arkansas, Oklahoma, TN and Michigan. Michigan Barack did not run in...so that leaves 3 with Tennesse being rather close (41 to 55)

So the net is - Hillary wins in most of the closed primary's and Barack wins in the open ones.

If it closed and in the South, Hillary wins (Southern Democrat White Male issue) and in the Mid West Barack wins.

Wow....he's kicking her ass!

Bill fucked up. He was campaigning in Vagina.

Now that I have set the new standard for Drudge...I expect everyone of you lefties to put in the same amount of research into your comments before you can post...so new rule...you are no longer allowed to post until you have an actual point to make and that did not originate from Move On or the Democratic party web site and is back by some independent fact - Not CNN, NBC, CBS or ABC - Not Berkley, or other left wing institution.

This should result in a reduction of postings by about 90%.

Yep. WisGod it's good you are here. You are a quick study. Hell people like O'Crap'O' were preparing long winded posts that were going to berate this poster for thinking a two delegate lead was an ass kicking. On the other hand you spoiled the O'Crap'O's belief in his own usefulness for the balance of tonight (and probably some others as well).

Nothin for nothin, but the Dem turnout tonight, like for all the other primaries, has been way above the Rep turnout.

Hillary supporter here. Natch.

I can't seem to catch Obama fever. Tried, tried.

Although moi waxes liberal-ical, I tend to agree with something Rush Limbaugh said (and that's saying something, bitches, since moi hates that deaf cunt). He said words to the effect that Obama is one of the best speakers he's ever heard who really says absolutely nothing. I mean, when someone's right, they're right, regardless of whether or not you agree with that person politically.

Now I want you kids at home to take a minute and just think about it. I mean, bom-bom talks a nice schtick. He says lots of really nice inspiring things, lush platitudes and he's even learned how to make his voice do that Martin Luther King "warble" (and don't tell me you don't know EXACTLY what I mean by that .. it is so obvious it's silly).

But back to the point: What has he offered up in terms of the concrete, you know, plans and figures. Specifics, people, specifics. I am just not picking up on it. I'm getting a lot of steamy-hot, alfalfa-laced, mealy green horse shit in my ear, and it's nice and warm and gooey, but other than that, I hear nothing from Obomanable. What the fuck, hey?

I guess that's what I wanted to say. Hell, I don't know if I can support him if he takes the nomination. I will continue to pay attention to him, and try to find out what he really means. He's captured the hearts and minds of the public. But we all know that the US Dem public is mainly a bunch of high-brow idealistic twats. It's the elite side of my party that's spearheading this bullshit (and it's the elite side of my party that is gonna end up chasing ol' Hossey right over to Lou Dobbs effin they don't mind they'selves).

Ah but I digress. Please, someone else... speak.

Oh great, the stupid tater is back as someone else.

I am moving to Canada.

Oh wait, never mind.

Obama is very scary, Horse. A lot of charisma but very little substance. What has he done that shows he has what it takes to lead this country?

Charisma matters. Part of the job of a president, at least before George W. Bush, was to lead the people where we need to go, not just tell us where we are being taken.

Hillary is one tough bitch, it's true. We can't count her out quite yet. I'll never forget the look on her face during the Wal-Mart comment debate, after Bom-bom said that shit. She just kind of leaned on her stand and gave him a look that said, "I'm. Gonna. Kick. Your. Ass."

No, only fools would discount her at this point (I see there are a good number here, b t w). Remember, this is the Clinton War Machine. It is capable of damned near anything. Know what? I say more power to them for it, too.

You have to ask yourselves, people... Who do you want going face to face with the like of Russia, China, Iran, N. Korea.

Someone with true balls you say?

Hillary's got a bigger set of balls on her than McCain and Bom-bom put together.

I get a dread feelinbg that of Bom-bon wins, this country's gonna end up fucked four ways to Friday. Mark my words, cunts. And mark them well.

Rcade, Obama inspires people like Hitler inspired the Germans. When people are inspired by someone, with no care about the positions he holds, it is not a good sign. Some people love Obama but they can't explain why or even what he stands for on issues. . .and they don't even care. That is when a democracy begins to fail a nation.

yep, Obama dosen't have a single concrete thing to say. He's running on a platform of "I don't seem like the same prick that always runs for president."

NEWSFLASH!! He's got positions and ideas, read about them here!!

Charisma matters. Part of the job of a president, at least before George W. Bush, was to lead the people where we need to go, not just tell us where we are being taken.

Yes, but Bush changed all that, you see ... and by your own reckoning. No, I prefer Hillary's puff-cheeked hardened schoolmarm kisser and that irritating voice of here, total zero charisma, to ALL of Obama's jug-eared allure. Thanks.

not just tell us where we are being taken.

Or, how we are being taken.

NEWSFLASH!!

Yeah, I had a look at that pdf a long time ago, son. It's a fucking anthology of quotes and platitudes and non-substance cleverly disguised as meat n potatoes. How cleverly it comes off as fraught with specifcs, and yet upon any deep check you find nary a one. Please. Spare me.

Love,

Your favorite Self Loathing Loser.

Ol' Hossey!

Rcade, Obama inspires people like Hitler inspired the Germans. When people are inspired by someone, with no care about the positions he holds, it is not a good sign.

The idea that Obama stands for nothing but empty platitudes about hope and change is utterly false. He's speaking right now on issues like getting out of Iraq, providing universal health care, raising teacher pay, ending Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, and giving college students a $4,000 tax credit in exchange for service in government projects like the Peace Corps, foreign service, or charities.

Obama's oratory is not empty. He just ties it together in a compelling narrative that moves people to act.

I listened to Hannity this afternoon and he was picking on Obama supporters. I can't remember who had the forum for the discussion, but they asked the supporters to name something Obama had accomplished.

By the time they mumbled through their answers, Hannity jumped on it with this paraphrase.

The reason to vote for Obama is because he voted on a bill?
The reason to vote for Obama is because he drafted a bill?
What accomplishments?

Well, I had to think about this.
Hillary is in the House. They draft bills and vote on them.
McCain is a Senator, but he does about the same thing- - just votes on bills.

So, to figure that accomplishments of anyone in the Legislature cannot be based on their jobs, what else does he expect to find?

I guess we have to look at what these people do outside of their jobs, or what they did before Congress.

Governors are executives, but being an executive doesn't make you perfect for the Presidency.

Personally, I think no one is fit for the Presidency. It's a job outside the reach of any known job when you consider the complexities that exist.

No one but a previous President could declare experience worthy of the title.

So, Hannity is a fool like all the others. It's not experience that really is going to make a difference. It isn't past experience in college or the military that makes the difference.

For me, the President is a representative of the people -much like Congress. They are supposed to be. The right one is one that performs their duty to the people and demands the same from Congress and vice versa.

I prefer Obama for one specific reason. America united. But, I intend to try to get the gang in Congress voted out. The true change must be there.

DONT

You're right. Alligator is spelled with an an "i"

My bad.

But you're wrong about Cleveland Clinic. I took an indigent heart patient there a couple months ago and they took him straight into intensive care . . . no questions asked.

They assigned him a social worker. They got him on Medicare. In the meantime, they saved his life.

I'm talking about an old man who lived in a camper truck on the fringe of All-I-gator Alley.

You're very, very wrong about Cleveland Clinic . . . at least in my neck of the Everglades.

I can't speak for where you live.

I feel like singing right now....'we're going to make it after allllll!'

Rogers, old crony.

I am listening to the very same speech. I'm hearing nothing of the sort. Every dem trots out that "in exchange for foreigh service" crapola -- Clinton did it, Kerry did it. It's all part of the "speak".

Here is what he does, folks: He is successfully appealing to old hippythink. There are a lot of boomers and postboomers who are in love with the notion of a return to idealism and moral relativism. I hate to quote Bubba, but it's a fantasy. It ain't gonna happen.

I stand for that side of the Democratic party that's leaning towards pragmatics. And that *ain't* Obama, kids. I want to see us come about a bit, and learn to work with the machinery we have, not talk about magic contraptions that don't exist, or failed long ago.

It's just a lot of talk, Bom-bom's material. And yet I fear that it will take a lesson for us to realize it. Perhaps he should get his chance, then. And I hope I am wrong. God, how I hope I am wrong on this one.

Obama earned more votes in Virginia than all of the Republican candidates combined.

Horseonovich-

That doesn't even make sense...what you just said is opposite of what is actually happening. Wierd. Very.

Sounds like the pied piper to me, Rcade.

Follow me, I'm the pied piper...trust in me, I'm the pied piper and I'll give you everything .....

At what price?

Like a man wooing a woman to be his wife. I'll give you everything your little heart desires, he says. Then after he has won her, she finds out they will both have to work in order to make ends meet. Never mind the "heart's desires".

Sadly, almost every candidate these days wants to offer a wish list to the voters and they often have little power or desire to follow through. And the voters fall for it time and again.

Obama: Change, just for the hell of it!

Obama will actually get nearly 200,000 more votes than all the Republicans combined in a state that hasn't voted for Democratic President since 1964.

That doesn't even make sense...what you just said is opposite of what is actually happening. Wierd. Very.

Hmm. Very substantial wording ... not!

Care to qualify what you are trying to say? Oh, and while you are at it, please explain to us precisely what it is you are trying to say.

Tell you what, Sir Mikeonovich. You put your argument out there, and I'll do you the honored service of systematically shooting you down piece by piece, until your argument (if you even have one) crashes all around you. Better still, I won't. I'll let the others here do it. I am tired. It's been very exhilirating making my triumphant return here after so may years away. I need rest. Besides, I sense that, like Bom-bom, you speak in clever catch-phrases only, with not a single gram of facts/stats/math/citations to back you up.

Gee, Mike. I can see that you and I may be in for the start of a beautiful friendship.

(Walks together into the mist as the plane carrying Ingrid and her wuss husband off to America)

Aw, shit.

If that underqualified idiot garners the nomination, I have to vote for McCain. I would like the opportunity to put Hillary in La Casa Blanca, but if the only real choice is between Obama and McCain, I have to go with the one who's dry behind the ears.

* Mutters profanities so dreadful, not even rcade should hear them *

We're being sold a box of "Magic Charms."

We may have to make the best of it.

Get prepared.

Now it's time for the fat lady to sing......oh sorry, she's only crying. It's Bill off somewhere tonight with a fat lady.

" Tell you what, Sir Mikeonovich. You put your argument out there, and I'll do you the honored service of systematically shooting you down piece by piece, until your argument (if you even have one) crashes all around you. "

Hi Horace!

Obama: Change for the need of it.

Next, Congress.

Comparisons between Obama and Hitler, and now the pied piper ... tough crowd.

If Hillary wins the nomination, I'm sure she'll be a pragmatic politician who chips away at problems incrementally and acts as if she's achieved major victories, just like her husband. More 50%-plus-1 governance. And lots of ticky-tack bullshit like the false outrage over David Shuster's pimp comment.

Personally, I'd rather have a president who aims higher. Obama has the potential to be a transformative candidate in the same manner that Reagan has proven to be, but in the opposite direction. He's running a masterful campaign. I think it's entirely possible the same skills could be put to use running a country.

I'd rather have Magic Charms than a Retreaded Candidate. Be honest Hillaryites it's really NOT about Hillary getting the Nomination. It's about getting Bill Clinton back in the White House. Your candidate is in fact Bill Clinton with Hillary as the Frontman(Woman)

Jesus.

"He's running a masterful campaign. I think it's entirely possible the same skills could be put to use running a country."

I got two words for you, rcade.

Jimmy. Carter.

Someone explain it to me:

I was listening to Obama speak and even though I know he was using standard boiler plate Democratic Party rhetoric, I still felt compelled to listen. If Hillary or any other Dem would have been there advocating the same policies I'd be calling them Marxist, and turning the channnel, yet I just loved listening to Obama speak for some reason.

I am sure I am not the only one mesmerized by Obama's rhetoric. Why are we such suckers for people who can speak well?

Considering that this year, the election is the Democrats to lose, I would rather Obama be elected than Hillary. At least I could stand to listen to him give state-of-the-union and other speeches while on the other hand I could not stomach even one minute of Hillary.

well there are pigs flying outside my window and the snow is beginnging to fall in hell......because I am about to say this.

larry mohr......you absolutely correct....

ouch.......its been awhile since I went to the therapist but I better find her number.

I'm not sure why this is a two person race we are talking about....what about Mike Gravel?

Please forgive the double post. Dunno how that happened. Rcade, perhaps you can remove? I did see your response and found it more compelling than your earlier statement. Thanks for that. I will still have to shoot it down, but tomorrow. Tired. Work in am.

I should try to find the c-span clip of Obama running the Senate the day he was in charge.

He'll do the same thing in the WH if elected. Big If!

Thank goodness the Writers are no longer on strike--can they finish "24"?

Murphy

" If Hillary or any other Dem would have been there advocating the same policies I'd be calling them Marxist"

Well I guess that shows how off the wall libertarianism is. Obama said nothing that could remotely be considered "Marxist."

"I am sure I am not the only one mesmerized by Obama's rhetoric"

No kidding. That guy can deliver a speech alright.

Obama haters,
You better come up with a better strategy than complaining that his supporters don't even know where he stands on the issues. That ain't gettin' it done.

And weren't Bush's stated positions small gov. and no nation building. I'd rather hear philosophies at this point rather than exact policy in his speeches. His detailed platform is articulated on his website-read at the risk of losing your "he does'nt have any positions" crappy argument.

President Obama!
Get used to it.

so they are one step closer to a deadlock and when that happens, then just watch for the lawyers flying all over the place because if obama wins, she will send out to get the votes from florida and michigan and vice versa, of course.

and larry, seriously, the phrase I read and hear is that we dont need bill clinton running around the white house with nothing to do......or is that NOONE to do......
and here is where many of you raging libs might agree with me.

we have had enough clintons and bushs........

I got two words for you, rcade. Jimmy. Carter.

There's no comparison between Carter and Obama. Carter caught the other Democratic candidates unprepared under a new system that elevated the importance of early primary wins. He didn't face any challenger as well-organized or as popular as Hillary Clinton.

If Obama beats Clinton, it will represent a much more substantive achievement than what Carter did.

this will go until convention then the dem party LOSES.. way to go losers.

Ever hear the phrase "leader of the free world"? A big part of the job is leadership. Leadership is built on charisma, judgement and experience.

Charisma and judgement do not just accrue with time.

If the knock on Obama is he is great but needs some seasoning that is fine for me. No one really has experience as leader of the free world.

Look at some of the worst Presidents, long time political hacks with lots of favors paid and owed.

Obama is a lawyer, with a lot of experience in the state legislature of Illinois. He only had a couple years in the senate but is a natural leader and a great orator who inspires and wants to unify a divided nation.

That reminds today is Abraham Lincoln's birthday. Lincoln was a lawyer, with a lot of experience in the state legislature of Illinois. He only had a couple years in the senate but was a natural leader who inspired and unified a divided nation.

That is not to say Obama will be Lincoln, but most of your criticisms of Obama were probably hurled at Lincoln when he ran for President.

Don't know about that, Sully. Could be, only time will tell...

Yes, I'm hypnotized myself . . . but then I wake up and ask myself who has the brass balls to stop the neo-cons and their quest for eternal war.

I remind myself of the warning "Beware of the Industrial Military Complex.

I remind myself that Obama, though well intentioned, is a neophyte.

I remind myself that we have a counry to save and that this is no time to roll the dice. Maybe later, but not now.

I have to stick with Hillary. Considering what #44 is going to face, I'll put my money on Hillary's brass balls.

He just ties it together in a compelling narrative that moves people to act.

he is promising everyone everything.. where is the f'in money coming from?

100 year seawall around NO?? the netherlands is contemplating giving up large swathes of land and this idiot is going to spend how many billions on a cuity that SHOULD be under water?

here are some more campaign promises from the black jimmy carter:

Top Ten Barack Obama Campaign Promises presented by Senator Barack Obama

10. "To keep the budget balanced, I'll rent the Situation Room for sweet sixteens"
9. "I will double your tax money at the craps table"
8. "Appoint Mitt Romney Secretary of Lookin' Good"
7. "If you bring a gator to the White House, I'll wrassle it"
6. "I'll put Regis on the nickel"
5. "I'll rename the tenth month of the year 'Barack-tober'"
4. "I won't let Apple release the new and improved iPod the day after you bought the previous model"
3. "I'll find money in the budget to buy Letterman a decent hairpiece"
2. "Pronounce the word nuclear, nuclear"
1. "Three words: Vice President Oprah"

I'm with you, twinpac.

aim higher for what? a campaign versus actually leading that will be the trick and I dont see it..Bush sucked and I didn't vote for him and the Obamacide drinkers are lapping his crap up too..You guys are the dem version of the Bush supporters in 00.. he can do no wrong in your eyes.

He who believes in nothing is never disappointed.

Some of you folks are too cynical for your own good. You remind me of teens who are afraid to say which bands they like, in case somebody might insult them for it.

I don't think you have to be a blind idol worshipper to prefer Obama over Clinton or McCain.

"Both Hillary and Obama are for Universal Collectivism."

What a bunch of crazies. So far tonight, Obama has been compared to Hitler, described as a "pied piper," and called a Marxist. Get a grip.

"There's no comparison between Carter and Obama."

I would to God you were correct.

Unfortunately, in both instances, we're talking someone with a lot of "new ideas" without the base and the chops to execute them. Both can be credited with running great campaigns, true. But I don't think Obama has what it takes to get us out of the mess we're in. As I've said here before, politics isn't writing code, it's hacking. It's not enough for Obama to be Prez, because just being Prez ain't enough for anybody, as Ol' Jimmeh could tell you. You have to be able to get things done within an extremely corrupt and intractable system, and that takes a whole lotta log-rollin' and back-scratchin'.

We don't need new ideas so much as we need someone skilled at cleaning up old shit.

DON'T

I know, I know. I was just embarrassed.

Sorry if I over-reacted. Nothing personal.

Yes, I need to snap out of it. I will be voting third party this year, just like I've been doing since 2002. Thank you for waking me up.

I think the Hitler reference was towards Hillary.

Obama is a Hope-monger...;o)

In the CA primary pamphlet--Nader was on the Green ballot and the Peace and Freedom ballot--same with McKinney.

I don't get how that happens--but then about three weeks ago Nader was threatening to run as a third party. He's on the ballot twice.!!

Are you wishing for Bloomberg?

Murphy

Are you wishing for Bloomberg?

Murphy

To be honest, I don't like Bloomberg, he want to tell people what to do too much.

I'll wait till the Libertarian Covention to see who they nominate and start supporting that person.

I never thought I would be cheering on Huckabee, but he is right in saying that there is no reason for him to quit and that the people of the remaining states would be cheated out of making a choice if he quit. As a candidate he is the worst, but I am still cheering him on. Competition is good, it will prevent McCain from getting rusty.

What happened with Edeards?

Will he still endorse Hillary as rumors said he would? I would think not.

OH MY GOD!!!...when CNN flipped from Barack Obama's speech in Madison to John McCain's speech in Whereversville, it was like going from a wild celebration to a wake. McCain makes Fred Thompson look like a party animal!

You Repubs have got a long road to hoe from now until November!

so I dont mean to take anyone away from their required posts, and I certainly dont endorse letterman who hasnt been funny or creative in some time...
but we should all watch it together.......evangeline lilly is on tonight....

who is that you say?
what? libs dont keep up with sports illustrated?????????

They have four candidates and choose soon??

That answered my question. Yes, it was painful!!

never thought I would be cheering on Huckabee

Cheer on. I'm, also having more fun watching the Republican side.

Look for the Republicans to draft Bob Dole for VP to inject some life into their ticket!

"I never thought I would be cheering on Huckabee,"

Don't cheer to loud, Huckabee is making a good case for a VP slot, I don't know about you but I don't think I want that clown just a few heart beats away from being commander in chief, and McCain is not a young man. VP Huckabee, frightening.

On top of the Drudge Report now:

In the Chesapeake Rout, according to exit polls in Maryland, Obama won:
Latino Voters By Six Points: 53-47
All Religions (Including Catholics)
All Age Groups (Including Seniors)
All Regions
All Education Levels
And Women by TWENTY ONE POINTS...

Translation: Hillary is screwed, momentum is shifting toward Obama and he is demonstrating some strength in categories where he was weak.

realpatriot

FF!

Inject some Viara in the GOP campaign!

LOL!

They went thru the delegate counts for each side and for the Dems--

No matter if Obama wins out the rest of the states--unless he wins 75/25 each time--Obama cannot get the entire amount of delegates needed to win the nomination. They are saying even if he gets 75/25--he can't get the required number.

Same scenario for Hillary. She can win all the rest and not be the best...

As for the Repubs--No matter if Huck takes the rest of the states--McCain still gets across the finish line ahead and with the required number of delegates.

Murphy

ahhhhhhhhhhh, yes, one step closer to a grand old party win!

breaking out the streamers and noisemakers!

wooooooooooooooo-oooooooooooh!

bet'ch'all're wishin' we'd vote on feelings, nothing more than feelings...

Kucinich on FNC now.

Kukucinich--see any aliens lately?

Murphy

On FNC they are saying that if Obama is now the front-runner, will the media start giving him a hard time now?

Nanc,

Congratulations on your party having more or less crowned their king. But, before you get too excited, you might take a look at the number of votes cast. In both Maryland and Virginia, the Dem runner-up, Hillary Clinton, who was smoked by Obama, had way more votes than McCain in either state. In fact, she had more votes than McCain and Huckabee combined in Virginia...a traditionally Red State. Change is in the air!

Feelings--that's been the Dems problems for their entire existence.

They go with their feelings and out goes commonsense and logic.

But it feels good to promise all these people something that will never happen.

And it feels good to hear these promises. Just look at all the folks eating it up.

Murphy

REAL

I think McCain has already sold his soul.

Condi Rice has already been "assigned" to poor little sell-out McCain.

Granted, it was a terrible price to pay but at his age there aren't any more chances to get the brass ring.

Old people have to take what they can get.
