After a top Republican official said that they stopped counting votes with 87% of the vote in and declared John McCain the winner, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee's campaign has filed a complaint disputing the results of the state's GOP caucuses.

What's wrong with these whining Republicans? Every election is "rigged". Hoo HAA

They are just a bunch of lazy fucks.

I don't know why, but I actully laughed out loud when I read that.

Good show!

If there are about 1500 votes still to be counted and Huckabee is only 242 behind he needs about 870 or roughly 58% of them to win. A lot of districts get won with over 60% of the vote. Too early to call it, so why did they? Were the votes from districts likely to have voted for Huckabee and they don't want him to be the winner?

It isn't whining to question voting irregularities in elections here the vote is close. Especially when Republicans are doing the counting. Florida, Ohio and Diebold ring a bell?

that's a little odd... With McCain and Huckabee only 2% apart that doesn't seem the time to stop counting votes...

It isn't whining to question voting irregularities in elections here the vote is close.

Yes it is, because Democrats do it after EVERY election now... Hell Obama was doing it about Louisiana and he won the state by a landslide.

With the recent history of elections I would demand full counts too.

GEE, what a surprise that the repubs simply stopped counting the votes. THe fact that they would do that in light of that history is pretty damn stupid, even by repub standards.

Yes it is, because Democrats do it after EVERY election now...

This is a typical rightnut comment. Demonize your opponent with your own sins. Rightnuts are stuck in Karl Rove mode even though he's now yesterday's man reduced to bloviating on FOX Noise. I've said it before, the only cure for what ails rightnuts is a purging period in the wilderness. They'll be getting a one-way ticket for the trip in November.

They'll be getting a one-way ticket for the trip in November.

They deserve it IMO. HOwever, if Hillary wins the nomination..............

Like the 2006 elections?

Yeah, we steal every election... we control every vote with out Diebold machines... but we felt bad about it in 2006 and therefore handed over control of the Congress... jackass...

This is what happens when you give everyone a trophy win or lose when they are kids...

Demonize your opponent with your own sins

What sins? You have proof of Election fraud? Wow... you should really turn that over to the Feds because they say everything is on the level...

This is what happens when you give everyone a trophy win or lose when they are kids...

We all kinda figured that's how you got your start.

Good one Chris Rock

HOwever, if Hillary wins the nomination..............

It's so obvious that Hillary is the ONLY chance the Republicans have that only a braindead political organization would pick her over somebody like Obama but with the Dems there's still a 50-50 chance of that happening.

Hillary would probably still eke out a Bush v Kerry type win over McCain because the Republicans are just as braindead in allowing him to rise to the top of their ticket for want of a better alternative. But why take that chance when Obama would almost certainly beat McCain by at least ten percentage points?

Obama will need to pick up about two thirds of the Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania delegates to move into what ought to be a lock but even then might not be.

Loks like John McBush picked up a trick or two from Karl since 2000.
btw, did you know Huckabee fathered a Unitarian baby?

No, A-Hole, by looking at individual races, not the overall generalized result for a given election day. THere have been LOTS of problems with elections. Nice try on the over-simplification, though. You really are slipping, bud ... your earlier posts didn't rely on this much BS and dancing around the facts.

THere have been LOTS of problems with elections.

Really?

How many elections have been overturned? How many times have the results been thrown out and the people told they would have to vote again?

You really are slipping, bud

Because you've proven so many cases of election fraud?

Gee Rob, are there any states or regions that have changed their voting process due to acknowledged problems with the devices they were using?

If so, then please go away.

I just love it when the repulsicans start canibalizing themselves! LOL! They are just so use to cheating, they can't help themselves! LOL! Too funny!

I guess once man-boy finally came out and endorsed McCain by spitting on him, the rest of the 'Turds Of The Right' (TM) had to fall in line.

One need to look no further than NH.

This is a serious chain of custody issue that is a serious problem. Improper sealing of voter boxes, inconsistent unsealed boxes, boxes of votes kept in rooms that are not secure. Official SOS seals that can be removed and reapplied without any appearance of tampering.

This has absolutely nothing to do with left/right, and for blueinbushland to equate it to that is absurd and a red herring. This is the foundation of our country, and anything other than absolutely airtight procedures and quality tamper resistant equipment is completely unacceptable. The fact that a XBOX 360 game has tighter tamper control than a ballot box is abhorrent.

Maybe we can start voting through our XBOX's!

The Question should be "What is it about Republicians, that they don't understand that the election is not over until ALL THE VOTES ARE COUNTED?"

PONG for president!

There's more money at stake.

Adjusting procedures and methods and enhancing security protocols is certainly not proof that elections have been stolen. It is just proper planning.

It also does not back up your statement implying that elections have been stolen:

However, if this planning isn't in place, there is no way to prove anything, legit or otherwise.

Wow ... you have powerful vision to be able to read stuff in to others' statements.

Putting aside election 2000, my statement was that there were PROBLEMS with elections, and that I would demand FULL COUNTS, as opposed to races getting "called" by pundits or analysts - I NEVER mentioned "Stealing" anything.

It would be helpful if you would remember the context of the discussion, and try not to go all hysterical and extreme. I guess I'll just have to get used to the distortion and misrepresentation, though.

Rob: There are always problems with elections-even Kennedy's 1960 victory may not have happened if the dead hadn't voted so heavily for him in Illinois.

However, if this planning isn't in place, there is no way to prove anything, legit or otherwise.

Even with them in place there is no real way to prove it... Democracy relies heavily on the trust of the public...

Rube,

Where's your outrage over HuckaHeeHaw protesting the Washington results?

Need proof?

apnews.myway.com

How easily the point gets lost around here.

We were TALKING about Huckabee. MY point was that FULL counts should ALWAYS be undertaken, which would obviate the need for such appeals.

Let's vote on it, shall we?

Even with them in place there is no real way to prove it... Democracy relies heavily on the trust of the public...

Did you watch those videos? Are those people you think that we can trust? Do you think something should be done about that?

If not, what is the point of even having elections?

Where's your outrage over HuckaHeeHaw protesting the Washington results?

I think there is a monumental difference between getting mad when the votes weren't fully counted and it was a close race (2%), and starting to cry about irregularities in a state that you will eventually win by a landslide.

And Huckabee wasn't charging irregularities... he was responding to a GOP official saying they stopped counting at 87%... can't get mad at Huckabee in this case. I voted for McCain in Jersey... I want him to get the nomination, but even though it could possibly cost him Washington, I agree with Huckabee here.

Every Precinct....count all the votes cast......f'in idiots.

There should always be a re-count.

Then another

Then another

Has the result changed yet?

Then another

Then another

Nope, not yet...

So then, according to you, as long as someone is winning, he/she should ignore any irregularities?

I think it takes a big man to point out something like that ESPECIALLY when they are winning.

I guess it is realy going to make a difference?

Who did you vote for in Philly?

Vote Early and Often.

I don't live in Philly...

Judas.. It isn't a left/right issue you fucking idiots.. Shouldn't we all want ALL of the votes counted properly in an election? What happened in Washington should be grounds for treason.. If we made the penalties that harsh maybe people wouldn't do it..

What happened in Washington should be grounds for treason

Just think of what happened folks ... a single individual decided that "enough votes" had been counted. No one with any inkling of respect for democracy can allow this to happen unchallenged.

ALL the votes should be counted, period, every time, without exception.

You are right Midi, just ludicrous.
