I know you would find the linked article above very interesting reading. It's is a few pages long so better if you print it out and take your time reading it all. It will make you sick at the amount of corruption and theft under this President. If you do read it later, would like to hear your opinion on it. CC - thanks, I had read that before. And you're right - its sickening. Not just the cost in corruption and theft, but in American and Iraqi lives, as well. The lack of progress on basic services and infrastructure in Iraq has been one of the main contributors to the insurgency. These are the real "evil-doers" IMO, and they have raped a pillaged 2 nations.

So I guess what's another $1B among friends, right?

Good, I'm glad you had had a chance to read it before. Funny, but the one word from almost everyong who has taken the time to read it is "sickening" -- which pretty much sums it up.

When I was in the service, I seem to recall the minimum punishment for losing (or misplacing) a sensitive item was an Article 15, which generally included forfeiture of pay, loss of leave, and extra duties.

It's kind of hard for something to go missing if it never existed in the first place. A vast amount of the 'missing equipment' existed only on paper and was never actually produced or delivered to Iraq. Just another excellent adventure in creative accounting for the chimp's cronies.

What was actually missing was our tax money but they know exactly where that went. Problem is there is no one in power that has any desire to recover any of it.

Hey, stuff falls off trucks all the time. I know of people around NewYork-NewJersey whose entire household contents - furniture, electronics, clothes, etc - fell off some truck, or so they say. Granted, ya don't see many trucks or tanks or bazookas or helicopters falling off trucks around NYC, but that's just because Teamsters don't haul around much of that stuff there. In Iraq, it all falls out of transport planes. Maybe the Teamsters have learned to fly?

Another $1 billion? How does all of this money just suddenly disappear? How the hell do you lose $1 billion? Just imagining what all of this money could have done for us here at home if we had left Iraq alone makes me sick.
