Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Saturday, October 20, 2007

Forested hillsides in Vermont have shown their red, yellow and orange fall colors only grudgingly in recent years, with many trees going straight from the dull green of late summer to the rust-brown of late fall. "It's nothing like it used to be," said University of Vermont plant biologist Tom Vogelmann. Fall has become too warm to elicit New England's richest colors.

It's evident here in NJ, too.

Climate change has done this?

Algores climate change or the natural cycle of the earths change.

Next year all coastal shores will be flooded and littered with dead polar bears.

A carbon tax is the only way to fix this.

IT, is comming.

I believe it's real the Midwest had a record temp. of 122 degrees in July 2006. Also it was 70 degrees for while in January causing boxelder bugs to come out. Unheard of in our part of the state, it is usually 20 below 0 in January.

Ice creamused to be richer. Peppermint more yummy. Christmas more magical. Children better behaved. Workers wer more serious about their jobs, and clerks were more courteous.

You couldfill yur tank with gas for $3 and drive for a week. Coffee was just a nickel, and they'd refill your cup all day!

Everything was better in the good old days.

He sounds like every old coot I know.

Well, I'm still mowing my yard in the later part of October in shorts. Used to always snow on/around Halloween around here in Iowa.

Hasn't done that for a LOOOOOOng time.

Tree's also seem to just go from green -> no leaves here too now.

I wish global warming would come to Denmark! We just had the coldest summer in modern history, and we are already having frost in the mornings. I'm sure it won't be long now until snow falls.
Last winter we had the most snow fall in 40 years.

There is no global warming. Today is cooler than it was yesterday! Damn gum libral's.

That's no way to talk about yourself.

That's my job.

Excellent responses from the dimwits. They're of the same ilk who didn't believe acid rain was killing fish up in Vermont.
Morons.

and so now global warming is hurting the view in new hampshire......
guess its to bad I didnt get up there sooner to see that sight....

BUT MAYBE this story is like the BOGUS story from BIG AL"S little movie about the polar bears.....the one where we are told that they are all drowning and the fact is.....they went and moved the bears to a less frozen place and there were only two bears that died......

and maybe we should read the book called.

global warming...why it happens every 1500 years and why we cant stop it........

but hey....I have to admit it......it is hotter here in southeast texas for late october......
just makes the beer taste better......

"It's evident here in NJ, too."

It was over 80 degrees here last week. Some of the local plant life seemed to think it was spring and started flowering again. Pretty fucked up.

so are all of you YANNKEESSS upset because you wont be able to freeze your ass off for as long as you usually do....

or will it mean that you wont be able to "write" your name in the snow as soon....

This is obviously a GAY plot to make me look bad. After all WHO Cares about anything beyond Black & White???????????????

enough,we are all dimwits, rastacyborg said so.

publick opinion is just that, opinion.

Opinion turns into facts when the sheep start believing celebrities as being an authority on anything.
Sad but true.

"Opinion turns into facts when the sheep start believing celebrities as being an authority on anything. Sad but true."

I agree- You right wing sheep take Rush & other rightwing commentators as being the authority. Instead of listening to a few thousand scientists.

it is a waste of time to ask a right winger to support their view on global warming by presenting peer reiewed research to prove their point. They make snide remarks but quote no real science, just buzz words from their debunked talking points. That is not a sign of intelligence.

I have an open mind and would be willing to look at valid peer reviewed science that supports the right wing view, so far nothing there. Show me.

Up here in socialist canukistan..we had one of the nicest autumns in years..its just too bad its so short..i never even had time to go for a drive with my camera.

It's too late anyway. You are all burning alive.

You deserve it.

Onna,
Global warming is not a right left issue.

There is no right wing view of such matters.

THERE IS NO POLITICS IN SCIENCE.

I suggest that you are to wrapped up in presenting your view and anyone who doesn`t agree with it is automaticaly labeled.

By the way where did you get your peer information?

Algore?

rwd

for rwd, here's a link to many global warming issues gristmill.grist.org
can keep you busy for a long time

you are half right, it is not a political issue
and you evidently don't know what peer reviewed means (hint: gore is not a scientist)

when you finally figure out what "peer reviewed" means then send me a link to science that disputes global warming, but don't insult yourself by stating "By the way where did you get your peer information? AlGore", that is really dumb.

onna,
During the last ice age, where i live in the New York area there were many thousands of feet of ice above me.
I will not dispute the fact that polluting the atmosphere will not cause problems.I have a problem with the intensity of global warming alarmists pushing an agenda that will not only cost us money but that there will be no real fix for a problem that is comming anyway.
I,ve just recently found out about global dimming which actually cools the earth.Water pan experiments have verified this trend for the last hundred years or so.
The earths axis is also at this time changing meaning more sunlight on the poles means less ice.
Before you go off on your rant try to look at the whole picture.
I know what peer review is and i will state again there is no right/left politics in science facts.
You opened the door to that by implying there is.
Anyone who maintains a political position to global warming is irrelivant and deserving of some bashing, which i don`t mind doing concidering some of the people who post here

rwd

rwd says "You opened the door to that by implying there is"

so the right wing rants about global warming being a hoax is a figment of imagination, fine, but this is the viewpoint of every righwing blog, their statements (I don't think science is or should be a political isuse, but it is is those on the right.)

now supply "peer revewed" links that support the "hoax" position of these right wing ranters.

rwd says "Anyone who maintains a political position to global warming is irrelivant and
deserving of some bashing"

I am in 100% agreement with this, but when I see global warming denial, those denying never present scientific proof and they are almost always those on the right. I am for science, they are not. Remember they said "smoking is not harmfull", ignoring the science.

it is not a political issue with me, I asked for the right to supply science for their viewpoint, they never do, they just make a political rants or like you mention Al Gore (again Al Gore is not a scientist) check www.noa.gov or nasa's site or even your scientific living site as well as any professional science site. then check Rush & Co.

the right views this as a political issue and they are wrong. you seem to agree with me, I think.
