Kids, good news, you don't have to go to the doctor and get a shot.

Danni,

Do you happen to know a kid that needs a shot but can not get it? I mean, shoot, it always sounds like everyone around you is destitute(sp?) That would explain all your negativity.

Cheers

Make the cut off age 12. That gives the parents plenty of time to find the income to pay for insurance.

Yeah Danni,

There's more to life than Bowling Alleys and Tattoo Parlors. Gay Day at Disney World is not a vacation. Get out more.

I will say this about SCHIP and the failure of the Dems to deliver, it would have been smarter to have proposed a bill that did extend SCHIP but not nearly so far. Had it been doubled from 5 to 10 billion it would probably have passed AND been signed. Now they will have to negotiate with the president and no matter what comes out of that negotiation the Dems will end up looking weak. Would have been better not to have had to go back and negotiate.

End up looking weak or proven that they are weak?

70-80% voter support for this program. And at no cost to the taxpayer.
Ought to be a good thing for Republicans to campaign on, along with borrowing 200 billion more for another year of Bush's Excellent Iraq Adventure. Maybe they can drop the enlistment age to 10 and the sick kids can get medical care along with basic training.

Won't somebody please think of the kinda of rich children!!!

Now they will have to negotiate with the president and no matter what comes out of that negotiation the Dems will end up looking weak

Danni -- I notice in a lot of your posts you seem more concerned with how the Democrats look than the work they do. Is appearance that important?

I mean, I don't care if the chef at the restaurant has a big funny hat as long as he delivers a quality product. But that's just me.

Won't somebody please think of the kinda of rich children!!!

Why are the Democrats always suffering from a vacuum of leadership?

Already seen ads portraying GOPiggie candidates as "siding with Bush" instead of a sick child.

You righties are the best campaign advertising the left could ever have.

You guys make it too easy.

""Danni -- I notice in a lot of your posts you seem more concerned with how the Democrats look than the work they do. Is appearance that important?""

With an election approaching and a need for a stronger majority, yes appearance matters.

"Won't somebody please think of the kinda of rich children!!!"

It wasn't for "kinda rich children" The families it would have helped are struggling. Also many pre-existing conditions prevent them from buying insurance at all, this would have helped those folks.

The issue of restraint only applies to the tax paying middle class. The rich are special and deserve handouts unlike everyone else.

Corporate welfare, waste, fraud, and Republican sexual and monetary predatory practices are alive and well. Fuck the kids, fuck the middle class, fuck the troops, fuck the Iraqis....these are BushCo policies.

Is appearance that important?

To most of America it is. Our society is very superficial, big house, fancy car, luxury trappings, nice clothes, etc.

The Republicants made image more important than message from Reagan forward with smear campaigning. To hell with the accomplishments, it's the failures that matter.

Of course not all of America is that way, but in the era of 10 second soundbite campaigning most are.

Good news kids of middle class parents and some adults and some illegals...you don't get yet another chance to suck on the tax payer teat. You have enough handed to you already and of those of you who already qualify for SCHIP only 50% of you are enrolled so it obviously isn't as needed as we're all being brainwashed to believe. But like all government solutions the solution to this "problem" is to throw more money at it and when you try to expand a government program by an outrageous 500% or so you inevitably get the 200% you were looking for in the first place. So...good news taxpayers, even though you think the expansion of this beast has been defeated it will still end up costing you more in the end and even though you think you have a say in the matter, you really don't...so open those wallets or we'll throw you in jail.

Sincerely,
The U.S. of A

Also many pre-existing conditions prevent them from buying insurance at all, this would have helped those folks.

If you are already sick, fuck you and your health care.

Sincerely,

The Right.

PS You are just a lazy piece of shit anyways.

"Our society is very superficial, big house, fancy car, luxury trappings, nice clothes, etc."

Just the republicans. The democrats don't go in for any of that kind of shit!

End up looking weak or proven that they are weak?

The former, we already had the proof, were just waiting for the worm to turn.

I'd rather have someone who can do the job. Fuck appearances.

Maybe that's why the democratic party is in such shambles. No leadership, no job capabilities, but goddam aren't they pretty!

Are you even being serious Goat? Appearance not important to politics? Really? Somehow I don't think politics is quite so similar to being a Chef.... Unless you want to make analogies to cooking up bullshit...

Come on Goatman, which Dem is as pretty as Mitt???

Well, besides John Edwards.

Kudos on creating the perfect juxtaposition between the culinary arts and politics.

Let's see... How many ways can you disect this failed bill? You have about 10 million kids now without insurance. Of them about 60% who are qualified for SCHIP and or medicare NEVER SIGN UP. Now these clowns in Washington want to extend this to millions more who's parent don't even bother to register and take advantage of the benefits? Not to mention extend to some families 300% above the poverty line? Bush even warned these idiots he would veto. Yet they try and gain as many political points and campaign dollars as they can before it is revealed how flawed the bill is. To go as far as have to one the biggest nutcases ever be elected (Pete Stark)and allow him to show his complete insanity should be a relfection of the entire majority party. They can try and use a 12 year old to further their lies and manipulation but I think most sane people see through their utter imcompetence. What is their poll ratings today?

""but I think most sane people see through their utter imcompetence.""

er...the vast majority of Americans supported the bill. Even a slim majority of Republicans supported the bill.
It is pretty universally accepted that Congress's low poll numbers are because of its inability to reign in bush and his war.

Even a slim majority of Republicans supported the bill.

Then assuming that all Democrats were for it (and I assume they were) there are enough votes to override the presidential veto. All that's needed is a 2/3 majority. With an even congress, a slim majority of republicans + all democrats = 3/4 congress.

Why is everyone wringing their hands?

er...the vast majority of Americans supported the bill. Even a slim majority of Republicans supported the bill.

Posted by danni at 2007-10-19 02:23 PM

The vast majority doesn't know the flaws nor are they going to get the info via the MSM.It really is no surprise you fall for their manipulation. Like I said most sane people see through it. I am confused why you don't refute my post other than some skewed poll.

Sadly the vast majority of Americans believe the notion that the government can give them something for nothing. The folly of democracy is, when you have an ignorant, lazy populous with it's hand out, they vote for whoever promises them the most for nothing. The vast majority of Americans are not concerned with things like facts or figures, just what can I get my hands on without paying for it directly. They're too brainwashed to realize that they pay more to have the government do things than they ever would pay in a free market.

The biggest lie of all is that the private sector consistently offers the most efficient solution (lowest cost).

We pay more and get less value for our health care than any nation on earth. There are so many PIGS at the TROUGH. Insurance Companies are unnecessary although our Government is equally devious. Other Governments provide universal health care for less by eliminating all unnecessary middle men before patients reach the emergency room. No claims processing, no deductables, no billings. Oh, the horrors of Socialism, as if roads and schools are not. Only Shrub's brain could envision the emergency room as a solution for the uninsured.

Nutcase, do you believe that our heathcare system is a free market right now?

"Why are the Democrats always suffering from a vacuum of leadership?"

Asks someone who voted for Bush.

Bobby get's the "Knee Jerk of the Day" award. No matter what, the automatic reply is somehow to blame Bush.

Knock-Knock-Knock Bobby. If people voted for such a lousy candidate as Bush, they still thought he was the best alternative to the Democrat. It ain't Bush's fault that your party can only come up with hacks like Algore, Kerry and Hillary!

Here's a good breakdown of the parties.

Democrats: For less responsibility through more programs. Throw money at problems with no intent on fixing things, just keeping people in the same situation in order to win elections. It's never your fault if you fail and if you succeed you should feel really bad about the others that didn't

Republicans: For less government and more responsibility. Help out the poor through Charities and Churches and allow people to make their own path in life. It is entirely up to you if you succeed or if you fail.

Only Shrub's brain could envision the emergency room as a solution for the uninsured.

Posted by nutcase at 2007-10-19 02:47 PM |

I guess it was to much expecting you to know how the current program is flawed. Since you and danni refused to rebutt my earlier post, how can you want to expand this when 60% don't even bother to sign up? Explain how this expansion won't garner the same results? You want to go from six million to twelve million? At least Bush's brain was able to see through this failed political folly. Hell he even told these idiots he would veto.

I got no reply, so I'll ask again.

If a majority of the republicans supported the bill and all the democrats, there are more than enough to override a presidential veto. So the bill becomes a law, right?

What is the problem? The kids will be safe, y'all!

Sadly the vast majority of Americans believe the notion that the government can give them something for nothing. That's a great summation. And you didn't need a PHD (Piled Higher and Deeper) to do it.

I award you an honorary PHD, though = (Practicing Honesty Directly).

""Republicans: For less government and more responsibility. Help out the poor through Charities and Churches and allow people to make their own path in life. It is entirely up to you if you succeed or if you fail.""

Or

Republicans: Hate American people while blviating about patriotism, the flag, etc. Morons who prefer to waste hundreds of billions of dollars while kids go without health care.

Explain how this expansion won't garner the same results?

Well then if no one will sign up, whats the problem?

Americans don't think they can have something for nothing, they just think that since they are already paying almost twice what any other country pays for health care that they ought to actually get some health care. Americans are realizing that patriotism isn't dependent upon insurance company profits. Americans just don't believe the old bull shit any more. The corporations will have to think up new lies to convince Americans to continue letting themselves be ripped off.

Explain how this expansion won't garner the same results?

Well then if no one will sign up, whats the problem?

Posted by 726 at 2007-10-19 03:04 PM |

That has to qualify as the stupidest post of the day.

If a majority of the republicans supported the bill and all the democrats, there are more than enough to override a presidential veto. So the bill becomes a law, right?

No because a simple majority won't override a veto.

""Well then if no one will sign up, whats the problem?""

Actually a pretty sharp comment.

Danni:

Assuming an even congress

all democrats = 50%
majority republicans = (at least) 25%

50% + 25% = 75%

a 2/3 majority is needed.

3/4 > 2/3

What's wrong with my math, Danni?

Americans don't think they can have something for nothing, they just think that since they are already paying almost twice what any other country pays for health care that they ought to actually get some health care.

Posted by danni at 2007-10-19 03:06 PM

Maybe your friends should stop smoking, stop abusing drugs and alcohol, cut down on fats, exercise....Maybe then the healthcare costs would go down for them. Of course most people have insurance through their employers. So as usual your bullshit about getting something for nothing makes no sense. It does prove Lou Dobbs post. To bad you can't see that.

Republicans: Hate American people while blviating about patriotism, the flag, etc. Morons who prefer to waste hundreds of billions of dollars while kids go without health care.

You forgot to add while killing innocents for this presidents amusement.

Even a slim majority of Republicans supported the bill.

I re-read your post Danni. Perhaps you were referring to non-congressional republicans? If so, my bad. I understand.

""Well then if no one will sign up, whats the problem?""

Actually a pretty sharp comment.

Posted by danni at 2007-10-19 03:08 PM

Second stupidest comment of the day....Only an idiot would condone a program where 60% don't use it. How does expanding it with more money help the cause? How does that close the gap of those who have signed on? Incredible!!!!

"What's wrong with my math, Danni?"

Not your math, I misread a web site. It said a majority of Republicans, not Republican Congressmen. My bad.

""You forgot to add while killing innocents for this presidents amusement.""

Well, you can add that if you want but I hear a Congressman got quite a bit of criticism for saying that, but hey, if you say so the it's fine with me.

Bush a sack of crap.

News at 11.

That has to qualify as the stupidest post of the day.

Again, if no one will sign up for the program why are all you righties shitting a brick over it?

If you are too stupid to answer the question I guess all you can do is attack like a good little monkey.

Here have a banana.

Only an idiot would condone a program where 60% don't use it.

You got facts to back up the 60%. I would be interested to see them.

"Republicans: Hate American people while blviating about patriotism, the flag, etc. Morons who prefer to waste hundreds of billions of dollars while kids go without health care."

Yeah Danni, all Republicans want to do is go home at night and basicly whipe my ass with Ben Franklin's and dream of ways to screw kids out of health care.

These kids do not have to go without healthcare. If a family income is arround $65k, then the parents can afford to pay for it.

Again, if no one will sign up for the program why are all you righties shitting a brick over it?

Posted by 726 at 2007-10-19 03:35 PM

I guess calling someone an idiot was an understatement. Under yours and dannis thinking it is allright to spend another $35 billion for a program that nobody uses. Way to display your intelligence for all to see.

spend another $35 billion for a program that nobody uses.

Hey dipshit, if no one uses it, the cost won't go up.

BTW got the facts for that 60% figure you are taunting?

If a family income is arround $65k, then the parents can afford to pay for it.

Jesus, I wish you righties get your talking points straight. First it's $80,000 now it is $65,000. Which is it?

Hopefully, once the political uproar has died down, both the Pres and the Congressional leadership will work together to arrive at a compromise bill which expands coverage to children not currently receiving it. My concern is that given the volatile rhetoric involved, one side or another may find it advantageous to not agree to any compromise before next election day.

Republicans: Hate American people while blviating about patriotism, the flag, etc. Morons who prefer to waste hundreds of billions of dollars while kids go without health care.

Danni,

I thought that CHIP was created under a Republican majority Congress. And it works. Kids are getting Medial Care. There is plenty of money to fill the current needs. Things need to change at the State level (Medicaid) to make the money work better.

Danni, you want socialized medicine. Case is shut on that idea. So you act stupid and say that Republicans hate children in defence of your undying attempt at convincing the world that government-led medical care is better.

It's not!

What we should do is to use the money that's available now to buy private medical insurance for those who need it.

Medicaid for children is a joke! Back in 2002, I lost my job and my insuarnce and then ultimately put my kids on CHIP. It was an extremely easy process. But, when it came time to get care, there were a few pediatricians in all of Denver who took Medicaid. Plus it took forever to get an appointment. We ended up in the emergency room a couple of times because we could not get in to see a regular doctor.

Medicaid sucks!!! Luckly, I was back to work only after a year. I was motivated to better myself and get a better job.

If the government simply paid a premium to private insurance, we would have been in better hands and it would have cost the government less money. It's just too simply to comprehend.

So, Danni, it's socialized medicine, but within an industry that is already built and ready to do business. And it's a industry that works!

Suck on that.

Lou Dobbs cries for somethiing to be done about the illegal immigration problem and blames predominately the Bush administration.

Meanwhile Dems write legislation in the Schip to cover Illegal aliens, increase the defintion of KID's to include adults up to the age of 25 and increase the defintion of poor to mean 400 percent of poverty level.

When Lou starts taking Dems to task with equal zeal maybe then I'll entertain him as an independant.

If the search is so simple, you back up your claim.

But oh, you can't because you are full of shit.

Shep,

The limit is 300% of Federal Poverty Level. For a family of four it is around $56,000. Make sure you guys right that down for future use.

Why? It's pretty close to telling the truth.

SCHIP is, indeed, welfare for the wealthy.

If the search is so simple, you back up your claim.

But oh, you can't because you are full of shit.

Posted by 726 at 2007-10-19 04:02 PM

That was tough to find. Even a moron could have done it. Seems to me you have your head up your ass and can't contain yourself calling others full of shit.

How is SCHIP helping children?

A look at the numbers shows just how successful SCHIP has been in the past 10 years...

6 million children enrolled over the course of a year.
4.1 million children enrolled in June 2007.

...but also how far we still must go to achieve affordable coverage for all:

9 million children are still uninsured.
The White House estimates that 1.1 million currently uninsured children are eligible for SCHIP or Medicaid...
...But the Congressional Budget Office estimates that 5 million to 6 million currently uninsured children are eligible for SCHIP or Medicaid.

Hey dipshit, if no one uses it, the cost won't go up.

You are quite naive in the ways of beurocracies.

Lou, that's right. That's what he meant. How 'bout you reading his response and actually comprehending it before responding.

But, he's right. Not many people will be using the new access to Medicaid to replace the insurance that they have now.

9 million children are still uninsured.

I prefer to force parents to buy insurance for their kids if they can afford it. Most of us agree that we should not be paying for deadbeat parents.

It was sarcasm Lastamerican.

Sounded just like a dem though, eh?

If I knew posting numbers from the CBO would shut 726 up, I would have done it much earlier and saved some here from having to read his crap. My apologies.

crispee

Of course most people have insurance through their employers.

20 years ago, maybe, but not today. Fewer and fewer employers are including HMOs as part of their benefits plans. Fewer still are actually offering true health insurance that doesn't allow a 20 year old sitting in Omaha to determine whether or not they will pay a portion of your health care.

Luckily, my family is one of the lucky few that have 100% of our necessary medical care paid for as part of my employment (now, if I could only get the same for dental).

Based on experience I'd suggest you tread lightly. Your typical line of debate is that of Drama, and today it is one of fact, and thats working for you.

Logical, reasonable, unbiased original conclusions however are not your forte as far as I can tell. The above is evidence as I could think up at least 2 or 3 ways more money and expanding the program could cause those some 60% to be reduced and sign on. And given that as far as I've read on here, you haven't offered up any reasons as to why these 60% haven't signed up, would seem not to support your subsequent conclusions. Programs can be changed, they are not written in stone. The whole purpose of reauthorization is to hammer out such problems.

My read on all of this is that the Dems overreached here. And the repubs rightfully so are putting an end to it. But at the same time, I don't see the repubs putting up a better version of what by most accounts is a good program. This is bullshit politics on both sides, and sadly its on something important. The repubs all too happy to let them eat dick as do nothings, the dems all too happy to keep slamming them as not wanting healthcare for the children. I couldn't even make up this level of horseshit.

Redistribution?

You might want to watch what you wish for.

If not for the blue state tax dollars being unfairly redistributed to the welfare red states, many would lose their double-wides.

Yet you decided to prove your worth by posting something which had nothing to do with my point. Hell even 726 finally got it and moved on.I guess you beleive all the rhetoric being spit out by Dems and like a good little sheep will defend their lies. I will try and dumb it down for you next time so you can keep up.

If not for the blue state tax dollars being unfairly redistributed to the welfare red states, many would lose their double-wides.
With the exception of Calf, why are the blue states lilly white? Are they racist, why don't the minorities move there? Since minorities make up a disporportionate share of the welfare receipients, If they moved to the blue states, what would you say then. Would they suddenly have jobs? Or is the idea to keep property and local taxes high, so they can't afford to "blemish" the neighborhoods?

If not for the blue state tax dollars being unfairly redistributed to the welfare red states, many would lose their double-wides.
With the exception of Calf, why are the blue states lilly white? Are they racist, why don't the minorities move there? Since minorities make up a disporportionate share of the welfare receipients, If they moved to the blue states, what would you say then. Would they suddenly have jobs? Or is the idea to keep property and local taxes high, so they can't afford to "blemish" the neighborhoods?

726,

you must have missed my post on 3:59pm about all the figures being right in their own way.

.......its different in each state.....its calculated on the cost of living........

.........the highest is NY, but for many its in the 30-50k range.........

sorry, as someone who's lived in NY, 60k (or even 80k) does NOT mean "wealthy families". Paying 2k or 2500/month just for rent, and combined with Federal, State, and City taxes (and 9% sales tax) 80k for a family of 4 is extremely difficult. the cost of living is more than double what it is elsewhere in the country, wish the righties would keep that in mind when ranting against this program...

A government program intended for children should not cover adults. SCHIP should not be the vehicle for universal coverage.

Some states use SCHIP funds mostly for adults. Wisconsin covers almost twice as many adults as children -- and spends 75 percent of its SCHIP funds on them. Minnesota spends 61 percent on adults, Illinois 60 percent, Rhode Island 57 percent, and New Jersey 43 percent.
This year, 13 percent of SCHIP funds will go to adults other than expectant mothers. Nearly 30 percent of these adults are not even parents.
Of the 14 states that were projected to exceed their federal SCHIP allotments in 2007, five cover children not considered low-income, and five cover adults other than expectant mothers.

www.hhs.gov

9 million children are still uninsured.
The White House estimates that 1.1 million currently uninsured children are eligible for SCHIP or Medicaid...
...But the Congressional Budget Office estimates that 5 million to 6 million currently uninsured children are eligible for SCHIP or Medicaid.

Seems to me there is a reason for all the ranting T. Why would anyone want to expand this when we can't even get those who qualify to sign up? There are flaws in this program and the Dems put nothing forward to get those 60% to sign up. They were only using this for campaign dollars and political points. As usual they prove their worthlessness. I guess using a 12 year old to further their lies and manipulations is the best they can do.

Here ya go.

www.youtube.com

This is an ad put out by Moveon.org.

It's a good ad that that congratulates the Republican Congress for putting the CHIP program in place.

However, sadly, the ad lies about the Republicans wanting to take it away.

Is this what you call swiftboating? Actually the swiftboat ads never lied.

This Moveon.org ad actually lies.

You Liberals are desparate. What is your problem?

"Actually the swiftboat ads never lied."

LOL

What is your definition of truth???

If Congress were actually wanting to do good rather than make asenine manuvers that fool the American people into voting them in, then they would want to make Medicaid better.

How about taking the funds that Medicaid uses to pay for medical costs directly and buy health insurance premiums from private insurance. If that were available before, this little girl would not only be saved, but she would get much better health care.

Most doctors don't take Medicaid. What's worse is that the doctors who do take it now are dropping it. Why? Because it DOES NOT WORK!!!

And you fool assclown liberals want to double the money going into it now. idiots!

The problem is that Medicaid is like an insurance company. They give you an insurance card; you look for a doctor who takes it. Get the medical care. Then the doctor files the claim with Medicaid to get paid. Sometimes it takes up to 2 months to get paid from the government.

The government needs to get out of the business of being the insurance company and just be the benefactor and pay the insurance premium. Let the insurance companies do what they do best, manage medical costs.

Here's the great thing! The patient gets to select the insurance company.

Woohoo! now everyone's happy.

"Actually the swiftboat ads never lied."

LOL

What is your definition of truth???

Lisa,
I must have just missed you last night. Any fricken tornadoes heading your way? BTW it is about 9:15 here and it loooks like it will be about 85 and clear. When are you going to come out here and get away from all those storms? PS. You can still see the Pack in So Cal.

LOL!!! Good one Danforth (dum-dum), sorry it's at your expense.

How 'bout answering my educated my educated posts. LOL!!

LISA.... echo... echo... echo...

Denforth, maybe you could answer it.

What if we took the current budget in CHIP and bought health insurance policies for those kids?

Woulf that be too much charity for someone as "Progressive" as you?

1If weren't on a wild goose chase in Iraq. every man woman and child would insured. Nobody ever wants to say the truth that poor health is far more likely to kill you than a terrorist. I am currently uninsured until my new companies insurance kicks in and I had to get two scripts filled. By the time the doctors appt and scripts were paid I was out 300 bucks. Had I been insured I would have been out 50 at most.

Byrd, I would love to not have to pay insurance premiums either, but sad to say this would constitute socialized medicine and that just ain't going to happen no matter how much money we have to spend on it.

And you want me (the tax payer) to pay for it?

Here's a clue... Go out and buy health insurance. If you can't afford it, then get a Medicaid card.

"Why don't you just answer the question, Lisa."

I took my son to lunch, is that ok with you? I didn't realize that I had to be glued to this site like you are.

Anyone who believes the Swiftboat ads were truthful, is NOT worth the time and energy that would be wasted discussing anything regarding "truth" vs "lies".

That would be a given. Although in the past it has always become a strain. Usually it is my fault someone gained 10 lbs in the first month. Of course I would always tell them I will make anything you want. But somehow I would magically force them to eat my high fat, high calorie meals. I guess it doesn't help trying to keep up with someone who has to eat 5000 calories a day in order to maintain the same weight. The only consolation for being a little high strung.

Anyone who believes the Swiftboat ads were truthful, is NOT worth the time and energy that would be wasted discussing anything regarding "truth" vs "lies".

ok Lisa,

Nice dodge. I retract on the swiftboat lie thing.

Now you want to answer the question?

"That would be a given."

Right. I can't even get you to return an email! lol
Besides, I really don't need the extra calories. You consume 5000 daily?? WOW! Lucky man! Think of all the chocolate you can eat...lol!

Lisa,

What do you think about having Medicaid pay for health insurance premiums for kids?

Why you won't answer my question? Because it is conservative and it makes more sense that the lies being put out by the low-class failed Congress that you voted in.

You're just a coward, Lisa.

Any Liberals on this thread have the spin to talk about it? Or you just want to hurl insults from the corner.

Finally! Someone who wants to talk about it.

Byrd, sorry for the insult. Lisa did call me on it. I am rude and seemingly disingenuous, but I am really passionate about the issue of health care.

I know a great deal about the health insurance industry. I've worked for a doctor doing medical billing for a few years and I know that the private insurance companies can do a much much better job than the government.

Private Insurance companies are in the business of making money. Governments are not. Insurance companies watch costs in order to make money. Governments watch costs in order to increase their budget, they are not motivated to cut costs.

Insurance Companies make it their business to understand the medical field in order to make good decisions before paying a claim. They are constantly asking the question, What does this procedure really cost? If they are too low, they get in trouble, loose premiums, customers, government slaps them. If they pay too much, they loose money.

Governments are not motivated to be that interested in what medical care really costs.

This is why you are seeing SCHIP skyrocket in cost and there is equivalent value seen in the market.

I would like to see the government pay for your private insurance premium before you going out and getting a Medicaid card. Even better, I would like to see government force insurance companies to make private insurance affordable to people with pre-existing conditions.

Simply put, you're an idiot.

Can I make it any clearer for you? Do you now understand that I have NO desire to have a discussion with you on ANY issue??

Good grief...try and have some kind of self respect to stop yourself from rejection and stop trying to bait me.

Lisa,

It's obvious you haven't listened to a word I said. You refused to read my posts above because you write this.

At least I read your posts.

All of the posts that you've written come a person who is either a dry drunk or someone who has been kicked around so damn much that they will lash out at anyone. Just sits in the corner where she thinks she safe and throws crap as people walk by.

You're a pathetic coward Lisa.

Can I make it clearer for you?

Don't make cowardly comments then run and hide, loser.

I think it's too conservative for you and you can't stand it so you insult me instead.

How in God's name does someone "worry about someone each and every day" today, but couldn't even give that same person the consideration of knowing whether they were in Iraq or not last March?

Apparently, I'm not the only one with that exact same question.

There is a difference between running away and choosing not to get into a thought provoking discussion with someone who is a proven liar. There is nothing about you that I am afraid of.

And I can see you are not above wishing death to a poster who disagrees with you either. That does seem to be the standard for todays conservatives. You fit right in.

Now....company arrives shortly, and I need to wash away the bad experience of YOU.

I'm hoping tomorrow your ass is booted off for wanting Hans to die.

S'okay, Lisa.

It is no competition whatsoever.

Hope you have a GREAT evening!!!

????

Are you seriously saying that Massachusetts is ore racist then the south?

LOL....Which side was it that fought to keep the minorities as slaves?

The problem I have with this bill is that some adults were being covered and some kids were not. Once a kid is out of high school (or old enough to be out of high school), they should not be covered under SCHIP. Kids should not be squeezed out of the program at the expense of adults as was done in NJ.

This could be a good bill to debate if;

#1 it had anything to do with childeren or
#2 it had anything to with insurance.
