Citing "credible specific information" about terror tactics, the Transportation Security Administration stepped up scrutiny of passengers carrying remote-control toys aboard airplanes. The new policy comes just days after federal authorities in South Carolina disclosed that a Florida college student being held on terrorism-related charges had made a video that he posted on YouTube showing how to use such a remote-controlled toy as a detonator.

Anyone so stupid he needed a video to know that a $15 toy remote controlled car could make a switch move doesn't deserve to be a terrorist. Has the world really gotten that dimwitted?

The TSA needs to go back to reading passengers' books and stay away from UTube. Their Depends will need changing if they ever find the real interesting stuff.

These yahoo cops are throwing the terrorist label around like it was candy. I think we're seeing a lot of law enforcement spinning out of control. The supposed land of the free has the highest incarceration rate in the world.

Is there somewhere we can forward YouTube links and get some of those freaks the help they need?

As for LE Ray, that happened while normal thinking people were sleeping. It just doesn't need to come storming down your street and smash in your windows as it did in the past. The random arrests appoach (like our poor college student) are enough to keep a cowed populace in line.

Not like in Burma where the monks will go to their deaths, fighting for a democracy. They would cry if they'd realized how willingly those that have it will give it away again.

"America's Police Brutality Now Pandemic

"Self-righteous Americans justify these monstrous crimes as necessary to ensure their own safety from terrorist attack. Yet, Americans are in far greater danger from their own police forces than they are from foreign terrorists. Ironically, Bush's "war on terror" has made Americans less safe at home by diminishing US civil liberties and turning an epidemic of US police brutality into a pandemic.

"The only terrorist most Americans will ever encounter is a policeman with a badge, nightstick, mace and Taser. A Google search for "police brutality video" turns up 2,210,000 entries. Some entries are foreign and some are probably duplications, but the number is so large that a person could do nothing but watch police brutality videos for the rest of his life. A search on "You Tube" alone turned up 2,280 police brutality videos. PrisonPlanet has a selection of the most outrageous recent cases.

"Police brutality has crossed the line from using excessive force against a resisting Rodney King to unprovoked gratuitous violence against persons offering no resistance, such as the elderly, women, students, and elected officials. Americans are not safe anywhere from police. Police attack Americans in university libraries, in public meetings, and in their own homes "
Paul Craig Roberts

Whew. I wonder if Rogers can install a filter so that folks can be kept from seeing the above? It would be traumatic for him to hear people believe cops aren't angels.

If any hominid cryptids are reading this SHUT OFF THE MONITOR NOW!!! You shouldn't experience the psychotic disconnect of hearing "cops" and "brutality" used in the same phrase.

You mean to tell me I had my lipstick confiscated, but they haven't been looking closely at remote control toys???

The TSA needs to be put under a microscope, and watched closely.
