Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Chicago Tribune: Radio’s Rush Limbaugh, catching flak for his allusion to “phony soldiers’’ this week, insists he really was speaking of only one “genuine phony soldier’’ at the time. Yet today, Limbaugh expanded his roster of “genuine phony soldiers’’ to include Rep. Jack Murtha, Pennsylvania Democrat, a retired Marine colonel, decorated and wounded veteran of the Vietnam War who served for 37 years and was awarded the Bronze Star.

OMG, they're all hysterical. They are absolutely foaming at the mouth.

He also included Sen. Jim Webb as a 'phony soldier' last week.

Sen. Webb - Marine Officer, Vietnam combat vet, former Sec of the Navy, and who's son is in Iraq in the Marines right now.

The Bushites are in serious trouble and they are lashing out. I sit here and laugh at every signle one of them. I think it is mighty Hilarious I really do. They are losing their colllective minds. Poor Bushites Be Brave Be Brave. You might think about Your mindset next time when You decide to throw Your support behind a baffoon.

Limbaugh's definition of a phony soldier:
Jack Murtha, Pennsylvania Democrat, a retired Marine colonel, decorated and wounded veteran of the Vietnam War who served for 37 years and was awarded the Bronze Star.

sorry, but Limbaugh's qualifications are nill!

Rush Limpbaw was a phony draft deferring chickenhawk with a boil on his talibone. LOL !!

neocons dont really support the troops

this is evidenced by the fact that every solider who has come out against the iraq war is either a traitor or a "phony solider" in their eyes

the cons use "support the troops" as a means to their political ends

that is all

What else would one expect from a phony talk-show host.

Murtha is a phony. Say anything to your loony-left base to get elected and get a majority, then--once you get it--do nothing.

I'm glad he's a phony, though. Before the election I actually was worried about what he might try to do. Who could have known, he's be just a big, blustering teddy bear?

Hey tubby, when are you going to point out that the coked up lush in the White House is a phony fighter pilot.

Uh oh -- going after the left's sacred cow now. This ought to be a predictible thread. Usual retorts from the usual suspects. . . .

then why did you open this thread goatman?
just to type that?

"Usual retorts from the usual suspects...."

1) Rush's behavior emphasizes the lie he told when he said "phoney soldiers" was just one person rather than any soldier that voiced disagreement with Bush.

2) One top of the emphasis Rush supplied by redacting that part of his show's transcript he felt was embarrasing to him.

So go ahead, arrest me.

en.wikipedia.org

I really don't know why Rush's attitude strikes some as strange and debatable. He and the Neoright have had this same opinion of non-conforming soldiers (from their point of view) since the beginning.

Rush's and the extreme Right's attitude is, and always has been, that soldierly (or ex-soldierly)deviation from the thought of Maximum Leader is traitorous.

Really, given the fascist Guatemalan Caudillo coloration the Neoright has always sought to give Bush, they ought just drop this civilian Commander-in-Chief Mickey Mouse and give him the active rank of Field Marshal so he can appear in public wearing some pretty uniform.

Zed says, "So go ahead, arrest me."

No need for that, and since it is more fun to laugh at you! At all of you!

All of you (well those with any intelligence) can go right now to www.rushlimbaugh.com and listen to the actual words and context of what was said! Or, if time is essential, read the transcript of what was said ...

None of you has done that, or you are base liars in saying you have, but still spouting this party propaganda ...

Making Limbaugh into more of a celebrity than he has ever been before!!!

He is making money hand over fist from you whining subversives, of that there is no doubt, whatsoever!

"Read the (edited) transcipt of what was said...."

"He's making money hand over fist..."

Exactly, Tad. That always makes everything alright. Starting with with drug dealing....

But since was have Tad on the line, let's ask him: "Are soldiers (or ex ones) that disagree intellectually with Bush war policy traitors?"

Yes, I do understand "yes" or "no" questions are the hardest ones.

THESE are 'phony soldiers'?

Generals opposing Iraq war break with military tradition

By Mark Sauer
UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER
September 23, 2007

Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton: "The ethos is: Give your advice to those in a position to make changes, not the media. But this administration is immune to good advice."

Retired Maj. Gen. John Batiste: "I had a moral obligation and a duty to do so. I have been speaking out for the past 17 months and there is no turning back."
The generals acted independently, coming in their own ways to the agonizing decision to defy military tradition and publicly criticize the Bush administration over its conduct of the war in Iraq.
What might be called The Revolt of the Generals has rarely happened in the nation's history.

In op-ed pieces, interviews and TV ads, more than 20 retired U.S. generals have broken ranks with the culture of salute and keep it in the family. Instead, they are criticizing the commander in chief and other top civilian leaders who led the nation into what the generals believe is a misbegotten and tragic war.

The active-duty generals followed procedure, sending reports up the chain of command. The retired generals beseeched old friends in powerful positions to use their influence to bring about a change.

When their warnings were ignored, some came to believe it was their patriotic duty to speak out, even if it meant terminating their careers.

GENERALS BREAK TRADITION TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST IRAQ WAR

It is too bad that Rush "Rambo" Limbaugh had the mother of all ass cysts or we may have won the Vietnam war.

Retired Major General John Batiste. He's a West Point graduate who retired last year after 31 years in the Army. He commanded the Army's First Infantry Division, both in Iraq and in Kosovo. Before that, he was the senior military assistant to then-Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz. He's now president of Klein Steel Services.

www.pbs.org

Army Major General Paul Eaton, who oversaw the training of Iraqi army troops in 2003 and 2004 before retiring, has been critical of Rumsfeld, as has Retired Marine Corps General Anthony Zinni, the former commander of CENTCOM, the Central Command.

GEN. ANTHONY ZINNI, Former Commander, U.S. Central Command: I believe the civilian leadership in the Pentagon ignored the advice. This advice was not just coming from me, these warnings, but other former commanders at U.S. Central Command.

You know Sully I wouldn't doubt BushLoverTwo licks that big ole cyst for good luck when He kisses Rush's ass.

Larry

"A senior general at the Pentagon said he believes the United States is already on the road to defeat. "It is doubtful we can go on much longer like this," he said. "The American people may not stand for it -- and they should not."

Asked who was to blame, this general pointed directly at Rumsfeld and Deputy Defense Secretary Paul D. Wolfowitz. "I do not believe we had a clearly defined war strategy, end state and exit strategy before we commenced our invasion," he said. "Had someone like Colin Powell been the chairman [of the Joint Chiefs of Staff], he would not have agreed to send troops without a clear exit strategy. The current OSD [Office of the Secretary of Defense] refused to listen or adhere to military advice."

This didn't start this year. Here's some perspective from May 2004:

"In addition to trimming the U.S. troop presence, a young Army general said, the United States also should curtail its ambitions in Iraq. "That strategic objective, of a free, democratic, de-Baathified Iraq, is grandiose and unattainable," he said. "It's just a matter of time before we revise downward . . . and abandon these ridiculous objectives."

"Like a lot of senior Army guys, I'm quite angry" with the Bush administration, the young general said. He listed two reasons. "One is, I think they are going to break the Army." But what really incites him, he said, is, "I don't think they care."

Jeff Smith, a former general counsel of the CIA who has close ties to many senior officers, said, "Some of my friends in the military are exceedingly angry." In the Army, he said, "It's pretty bitter."

Retired Army Col. Robert Killebrew, a frequent Pentagon consultant, said, "The people in the military are mad as hell." He said the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers, should be fired. A spokesman for Myers declined to comment.

www.washingtonpost.com

"In a press statement Ehren Watada said, "It is my conclusion as an officer of the Armed Forces that the war in Iraq is not only morally wrong but a horrible breach of American law. Although I have tried to resign out of protest, I am forced to participate in a war that is manifestly illegal. As the order to take part in an illegal act is ultimately unlawful as well, I must as an officer of honor and integrity refuse that order."

The day following Lt. Watada's refusal and public statement, military higher ups moved to prosecute Watada for what amounts to public speech. Watada's response was to the point, "I have a legal and ethical obligation to speak out against, and refuse to fight, this patently illegal war in Iraq. This has not changed."

The lead lawyer representing Watada, Eric Seitz, made clear that Watada is being gone after to keep him from "speaking out in opposition to the unlawful war."

Zed wants to know, "But since was have Tad on the line, let's ask him: Are soldiers (or ex ones) that disagree intellectually with Bush war policy traitors?"

Ex-soldiers who disagree with this war are not traitors, if their disagreement is sincerely explained and not an attempt to gain partisan advantage for their efforts.

Soldiers on active duty who make public pronouncements in disagreement with this war are insubordinate and are foresworn in their oaths, but not traitors.

It is the stooges of partisan politics who are the traitors and active subversives against all of our nation, in order to gain political advantage as payment for their sabotage; to gain votes by vilifying and dehumanizing our soldiers to hamstring morale and the will to win of the public. The very soldiers, themselves, who lie and are fake patriots. The very ONES that Limbaugh meant when he said so ... and I was listening at the time.

Stooges like those who mock and revile any scent of disagreement with "yellow-dog", knee-jerk efforts to profit from this war by losing it for all of the USA, and in support of human sacrificing subhumans we are fighting this war to destroy!

Scum sucking traitors to America for party gain .... despicable, greedy partisans and fearful cowards...

Here's 10 pages of Iraq War Veterans speaking out against the war

"It is the stooges of partisan politics who are the traitors and active subversives against all of our nation..."

Yeah...take a long look in the mirror, sonny boy.

OK, I've posted to what amount to hundreds of Generals, Officers, and enlisted Iraq Vets against the Iraq War.

Come on righties. Let's hear how they're ALL 'phony soldiers'.

LMAO !!

Major McIntire is a double bronze star winner with valor for saving two fellow soldiers in combat.

"Major Philip McIntire is a highly decorated US Army officer, and warmly regarded as a can-do leader by fellow officers and soldiers on the ground in Iraq. He has served our country since 1981, and has always been a 'Soldier's, Soldier,' who is very much in-tune with the heartbeat of fighting men and women, and action in the field.

McIntire has decided to make a bold move and speak out about what he sees as the real problems in Iraq. As a frontline soldier and administrator with the local governments in some of the most volatile areas of Iraq he offers the American people a unique perspective into the war on the ground, and how our military leadership may be to blame for delays in bringing an end to the war, and sending our soldiers home."

War hero speaks out against military leadership in Iraq

"All of you (well those with any intelligence) can go right now to www.rushlimbaugh.com and listen to the actual words and context of what was said! Or, if time is essential, read the transcript of what was said ..."

TAD,

That is your Problem you have become a Tool,PERIOD !!

Fucking Rush the Slob Chicken Hawk Edited The Transcript !!! I Heard it myself when it was originally Aired !!! He said what he said and then Tools like you fall for his Crooked Bullshit by repeating his Cover-Up, You are a Sucker !! Being Played by Another Candy Ass Yellow Coward who did not serve his Country !! Yes Clinton went to school Abroad so don't give me that "Old Line" ! The VP received 5 deferments !!

Here Is Your Hero's Lying Bullshit Edit :

During the September 28 broadcast, Limbaugh asserted that "Media Matters had the transcript, but they selectively choose what they want to make their point." To support this claim, Limbaugh purported to air the "entire" segment in question from the September 26 broadcast of his show. In fact, the clip he then aired had been edited. Excised from the clip was a full 1 minute and 35 seconds of the 1:50 discussion that occurred between Limbaugh's original "phony soldiers" comment and his reference to MacBeth, the full audio of which can be heard here. However, even the edited clip Limbaugh played showed that his discussion of Jesse MacBeth came after his "phony soldiers" comment during the show that day.

"Scum sucking traitors to America for party gain .... despicable, greedy partisans and fearful cowards..."

I don't think anyone could describe ol' tad and his follower with more accuracy.

"Mike Ergo is a 23-year-old honorably discharged Marine who fought in Fallujah. A tattoo on the inside of his left forearm depicts the first insurgent he killed in Iraq. A tattoo on his right arm reads: "Born to Fight." He loves the Marines, is proud of what he and his colleagues did overseas and is on inactive ready reserve through July 2009.
Yet a few weeks ago, the Walnut Creek native marched near the front of the anti-war demonstration that rolled through San Francisco. Yeah, he said, it felt odd to march among the 9/11 conspiracy theorists and socialists. Still, Ergo said he'd march again to underscore his opposition to U.S. foreign policy in Iraq and would try to bring more than the handful of Iraq War veterans who demonstrated with him last month."

Chronicle

Rush Limbaugh is a drug addict.

AU mocks, "Come on righties. Let's hear how they're ALL 'phony soldiers'."

Well, actually they are made into being phony soldiers by their partisan interest in having their opinions used for party over nation propaganda.

Their efforts might be sincere and they actually believe that this war is wrong. However, when their status as civilians is misdirected to them being "soldiers" in order to use their opinions to undermine the success of the United States and the morale of the soldiers who are actively fighting, now ... well, yes they are phony for allowing that to continue. By allowing it to continue, they demonstrate their partisan support of subverting the success of the war and the morale of our soldiers.

Along with the treaonous efforts of partisan stooges of the Leftist/Democratics who hypocritically support the same sort of "undeclared wars" by their commander in chief, but unpatriotically refuse to cooperate in successfully defeating America's enemies when a Republican is president.

Scumsucking vermin, squirming for votes and undermining our national honor to do so ...

(AP) One after another, the men and women who have stepped forward to report corruption in the massive effort to rebuild Iraq have been vilified, fired and demoted.

Or worse.

For daring to report illegal arms sales, Navy veteran Donald Vance says he was imprisoned by the American military in a security compound outside Baghdad and subjected to harsh interrogation methods.

There were times, huddled on the floor in solitary confinement with that head-banging music blaring dawn to dusk and interrogators yelling the same questions over and over, that Vance began to wish he had just kept his mouth shut.

Poll: 58 percent want U.S. troops out of Iraq by 2008
POSTED: 6:00 a.m. EDT, March 13, 2007

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Nearly six in ten Americans want to see U.S. troops leave Iraq either immediately or within a year, and more would rather have Congress running U.S. policy in the conflict than President Bush, according to a CNN poll out Tuesday.

Though support for Bush's decision to dispatch additional troops to Iraq grew to 37 percent -- up from 32 percent in a mid-January poll -- a slim majority of 52 percent say Congress should block funding for the new deployment.

The CNN poll was conducted Friday through Sunday by Opinion Research Corp. Pollsters interviewed 1,027 adults for the survey, which had a sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Service to the United States of America:

RUSH LIMBAUGH - NOTHING

CONGRESSMAN JOHN MURTHA: (see below)

Beginning as a raw recruit when he left Washington and Jefferson College in 1952 to join the Marines out of a growing sense of obligation to his country during the Korean War.

There he earned the American Spirit Honor Medal, awarded to fewer than one in 10,000 recruits. He rose through the ranks to become a drill instructor at Parris Island and was selected for Officer Candidate School at Quantico, Virginia. He then was assigned to the Second Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

In 1959, Captain Murtha took command of the 34th Special Infantry Company, Marine Corps Reserves, in Johnstown. He remained in the Reserves after his discharge from active duty until he volunteered for Vietnam in 1966-67, where he served as the S-2 intelligence officer for the 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division and received the Bronze Star with Combat "V", two Purple Hearts and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.

He remained in the Reserves until his retirement. This first-hand knowledge of military and defense issues has made him a trusted adviser to presidents of both parties and one of the most effective advocates for the national defense in Washington.
John Murtha was awarded the Navy Distinguished Service Medal by the Marine Corps Commandant when he retired from the Marines.

Having quit the Army in anger at what he calls mismanagement of the Iraq war, he says he chose a second career far from Washington and the Pentagon so that he could speak freely on military issues.

"I am outraged, as are the majority of Americans," General Batiste said over sandwiches in a blue-collar diner here. "I am a lifelong Republican. But it is past time for change."

General Batiste said he chose to go public with his critique of the war effort only after 30 years of honoring the Army's rules of silence. He said it was that time commanding 22,000 troops in combat, in 2004 and 2005, that convinced him that American fighting in Iraq was short of vision as well as troops.

"There was never enough. There was never a reserve," he said. "Again and again, we had to move troops by as many as 200 miles out of our area of operations to support another sector. We would pull troops out of contact with the enemy and move them into contact with the enemy somewhere else. The minute we'd leave, the insurgents would pick up on that, and kill everybody who had been friendly."

Major General Batiste, commanded the 1st Army Division in Iraq

How could I, Zed? No crime in telling the truth, is there?

I think all Republithugs should go through security at Phoenix airport.

I was vilified in Vietnam, when I questioned an "interrogation" by the Vietnamese of a POW caught stealing. I was verbally abused, followed by my own fellow soldiers, and had my assignment changed from Berlin to San Anontio, Texas, after leaving 'Nam.

Democratics did it. President Johnson was the tyrant, if you care to apply the "logic" used by Leftist/Democratics to blame Bush, or the war for the idiocy of those running it, on the spot.

I don't. President Johnson didn't blame me, the whistleblower, neither did the Pentagon, or the Army, or anyone else but the asshole who thought my effort to inform the Vietnamese was some sort of hippy-pinko-faggot peace loving act of a traitor for mentioning the Geneva Convention or Code of Conduct. I was fingered by a fellow soldier and mislabeled like Leftist/Democratic attack artists like to do, now ...

This "soldier" has an axe to grind, is politically motivated, or both; among whatever other selfish reasons to dishonor his service during a time of war. And, that's the same with all the others ... they too have some selfish motive for acting out in this unpatriotic way ... a way they have been trained is dishonorable, insubordinate and against principle and good morale.

Iraq: General Casey: Army 'out of balance'

The Boston Globe's top story is Gen. Casey telling the House Armed Services Committee, in his first appearance as Army chief of staff, that the Army is "out of balance" and "the current demand for our forces exceeds the sustainable supply. We are consumed with meeting the demands of the current fight and are unable to provide ready forces as rapidly as necessary for other potential contingencies."

Casey "personally requested the public hearing -- a highly unusual move that military analysts said underscores his growing concern about the health of the Army, America's primary fighting force."

If the military just allowed gays to serve, Rush could have been the warrior he always pretends to be.

That is always the best come-back and always cements the final block of an arguement: Call someone gay.

BTW, is that an insult to call someone gay, Northguy? How very un-enlightened of you.

"Retired Lt. Gen. William Odom, former director of the National Security Agency and now a Yale professor, said in a speech covered by the Providence Journal that America's invasion of Iraq might be the worst strategic mistake in American history.

Publicizing his book, "The Battle for Peace," in a recent "Meet the Press" appearance, retired Marine Gen. Anthony Zinni, a four-star former commander of the Central Command, describes administration behavior that ranged from "true dereliction, negligence and irresponsibility" to "lying, incompetence and corruption."

Another Marine, retired Lt. Gen. Greg Newbold, has written in Time magazine that the Iraq war was unnecessary. Finally, Lt. Gen. Bernard Trainor and Michael Gordon have written a history of the invasion of Iraq, Cobra II, which describes a willfully self-deluding planning process."

seattlepi.nwsource.com

For retired Brig. Gen. John Johns, the decision to finally stand up against the administration was a deeply personal one.

"My wife lost her first husband in Vietnam," said Johns, who taught leadership and ethics at West Point.

"To learn later that President Lyndon Johnson and (then-Secretary of Defense) Robert McNamara knew as early as 1965 that we could not win there, that hurts her deeply to this day."

Six months before the U.S. invasion of Iraq, Johns, who retired in 1978, agonized over whether to go public with a paper calling the impending war "one of the great blunders of history."

Chanan Suarez Daz was deployed to Iraq in September 2005. He returned to the US after being wounded in February 2006, and later become active in the anti-war movement, joining Iraq Veterans Against the War. Here we reprint edited excerpts of an interview

"I remember talking to guys before the last deployment who were still pro-Bush, and right after the deployment, a lot of the same guys were completely against Bush, and they didn't agree with the war. But they didn't know what they could do.

People are pissed off in the ranks. I have two friends who are stationed in western Iraq, and they've been there over seven months. The day after Bush proposed the surge of 21,500 additional troops, I got an email saying how they were just cussing out the president. Their tour has been extended three months.

The longer this war gets, the more people are going to rebel within the military, and there will be more people deserting, going AWOL and filing for conscientious objector status.

At the beginning, people thought the war was for freedom, but as time goes by, they realise it's not about that. The soldiers and Marines are going over there with one idea to come back home alive."

Names with * indicate they are presently in legal jeopardy, or currently incarcerated, see these stories to see how you can help. Multiple resisters listed on each page.

Why would we help someone who broke the law? I'm sure none are incarcerated for simply resisting. Maybe for being AWOL, rape, or other crimes, but not resisting.

And if they are incarcerated for simply resisting (and nothing else) there will be a million leftist lawyers lining up to defend them pro bono.

I'll keep my money in my pocket, thank you.

Thanks, AU. Not too many petty traitors, after all. Actually, a rather small minority of those willing to sell their honor for yellow-dog gangsterism. I'm encouraged by the small numbers of these small, phony soldiers.

We're sorry you're an angry, lonely, bitter old man.

Votes?! You think this is about VOTES?

LMAO !!

How about SAVING LIVES? How about REALLY SUPPORTING THE TROOPS!! Their CiC is a moron. You don't care. You want as many U.S. troops to die as possible.

Subversive/Traitor is what you are !!

However, even the edited clip Limbaugh played showed that his discussion of Jesse MacBeth came after his "phony soldiers" comment during the show that day."

THIS METHOD is exactly how Limbaugh lies day after day to the lemmings who listen to him. Limbaugh -- listen carefully now Bushtoadies -- edits everything so that he can LIE BY OMISSION.

He constantly takes a soundbite and chops it up (and leaves out the rest of the sentence) in order to completely take it out of context. That is just as much of a lie and just as deceiving as to out right lie.

Limbaugh the liar did this exact thing two days ago right after the Democrat debate with a clip of John Edwards re bringing home our troops from Iraq. I happened to catch part of the Dem debate and heard Edwards answer in its entirety. The next day (my radio having been left on KFI from thne night before) babbled into Rush's show the next day and that's when I heard him LIE AGAIN by paying only FOUR WORDS from Edwards' answer in the debate and making an entire lie out of those 4 words to twist what Edwards had to say.

Scarier to me is not some well paid-off thug GOP mouthpiece but the (how can I put this politely) continually unenlightened Republican lemming hee-haws that get their entire knowledge of world thru intentionally-edited GOP soundbites and accept it as God's truth.

CHRIS

How'd you like my TadOwe impression above at 3:50? LOL I've listed literally hundreds of 'phony soldiers' who ACTUALLY fought in Iraq - boils or no boils.

TadOwe HATES our troops and wants as many to die as possible under the failed leadership of a moron CiC!!

Subversive/Traitor NeoCon/Facist Rightist/Lunatist

LOL

Chris says, "THIS METHOD is exactly how Limbaugh lies day after day to the lemmings who listen to him. Limbaugh -- listen carefully now Bushtoadies -- edits everything so that he can LIE BY OMISSION."

Chris, I know you have the mental power to resist the hypnotic attack of the Limbaugh-likes. So, I wonder at your apparent fear to read the transcript, or to actually listen to the WHOLE clip that is present on the site -- for free -- no charge?

Why are you afraid? Even if you hear the actual context and understand what was being said, at the time ... you don't have to come here and confess what you heard! No one would twist your arm!

Otherwise, I must assume that you are so unsure of your ideology, that you would imagine it destroyed by finding out that Limbaugh did not call all soldiers phony who disagreed with the war. That this is just another effort of the Leftist/Democratics to destroy those who disagree with them ... like the tyrants you try and make Bush out to be ...

Would facing your party hypocrisy destroy you like that?

Would facing your party hypocrisy destroy you like that?

Chris, I know you have the mental power to resist the hypnotic attack of the Limbaugh-likes. So, I wonder at your apparent fear to read the transcript, or to actually listen to the WHOLE clip that is present on the site -- for free -- no charge?

Why are you afraid? Even if you hear the actual context and understand what was being said, at the time ... you don't have to come here and confess what you heard! No one would twist your arm!

Would facing your party hypocrisy destroy you like that?

TADDEAF -- I have told you many times I am not a Democrat, I am a registered independent (small "i" so as not to confuse you with thinking it's the Independent party). I am loyal only to my country -- not to any political party.

I will listen to the tape in its entirely within the hour. I am well aware that even Rush -- the MASTER of lying by omission and editing -- can be a victim of his own game. I will give you my opinion -- later.

Yes it would Chris-he's sooo thoroughly deluded-his entire ego is sooo invested in that world view-is soo tied up in the "infallibility" of the neo-cons-I don't think his personality could take it if he ever faced the real truth........

AU claims, "TadOwe HATES our troops ..."

I am actually thrilled by statements like this, AU! It is exactly the claim being made against Limbaugh, right now!

And, it is just as much of a blatant lie as the clowns in the DNC and congress make who try and say that Limbaugh hates the military -- one of the most respected talk show hosts EVER on Armed Forces Radio!

They know the gangsters for the liars they are and will also know the real merit of those who use the federal government to attack an individual for using their free speech ... the party who USE their power to revile and defame for partisan gain!

... as the subversive vermin of the Leftist/Democratic party do, routinely, in their unprincipled, immoral "platform" of goosestepping agreement!

'We actually like and respect the military by calling them murderers, rapists, baby killers and fascist torturers, while that hate-filled Limbaugh is a liar when he says he respects the military. He actually says this:"

I ... phony soldiers ...

Yeah, you are such convincing liars that America is going to believe this! Use our government and our rules of law to attack radio talk show hosts ... how patriotic and supportive of America can you Leftist/Democratics get ... how about another attack on some Christians in support of human sacrifice -- burn a few rightwing children to Moloch and Progressiveness???

"Chris says, "THIS METHOD is exactly how Limbaugh lies day after day to the lemmings who listen to him. Limbaugh -- listen carefully now Bushtoadies -- edits everything so that he can LIE BY OMISSION." "

TAD do you understand E-N-G-L-I-S-H ?

Rush E-D-I-T-I-E-D the Transcript !!

Rush O-M-I-T-T-E-D The Clip of it's Full C-O-N-T-E-N-T !!!

"Excised from the clip was a full 1 minute and 35 seconds of the 1:50 discussion that occurred between Limbaugh's original "phony soldiers" comment and his reference to MacBeth, the full audio of which can be heard here. However, even the edited clip Limbaugh played showed that his discussion of Jesse MacBeth came after his "phony soldiers" comment during the show that day."

Chris whines, "... I have told you many times I am not a Democrat..."

Listen! I've told you before that I don't care what party or lack thereof you claim! I use the inclusive term Leftist/Democratic ... and that's what you are; dupe or stooge.

"I will listen to the tape in its entirely within the hour. I am well aware that even Rush -- the MASTER of lying by omission and editing -- can be a victim of his own game. I will give you my opinion -- later."

Also, I don't care if you listen to it, or not! I really don't expect to enlighten any of you who correspond in collective agreement, here. You are brainwashed, as you claim others to be. Not reading, or hearing for yourself is just a symptom of your derangement. One you project as being a fault of those you attempt to belittle and demean.

It is an intellectual exercise in support of principle that is the reason I post here. To directly describe the calumny, cowardice and caviling idiocy of partisan subversives who lie as a practice to gain advantage -- an ends-justify-the-means philosophy used so excruciatingly well by the NAZI during their socialist control of Germany ...

You, personally, can go str8 to hell ... you'll never be any friend of mine, or any of your ilk of whatever party or lack thereof that is claimed ...

Got that?

Frank, in all fairness, I've never seen a post from you that doesn't toe the party line as well. It's just a different party.

You say:

Most of us on the left don't worry about what the party thinks-we think for ourselves-that's why the party has had sooo much trouble getting anywhere with us.

Couldn't someone on the right make the same claim? Or is this attribute strictly a liberal one?

So how is it Tad is a partisian hack, but you're not? I don't see the distinction between you two except y'all being at opposite ends of the political spectrum.

Listen, Sarge, you only fool yourself. Anyone who has looked at the site more than 5 minutes knows that the entire show archives are available -- that clips are just the pertinent part that can be confirmed by listening to the entire show.

Goat spins to the left, "So how is it Tad is a partisian hack, but you're not? I don't see the distinction between you two except y'all being at opposite ends of the political spectrum."

My comments aren't in support of party, Goat, so why do you call me a partisan hack? Have I called you some name, and you're getting even? Do you have some blossoming obsession with me for some reason?

I know, none of us are really all that careful in analyzing the things we read ... so my contradiction of Leftist/Democratic lies and efforts to subvert the success of the United States, in order to "get" Bush/Republicans, is translated simply (any pejorative inference you see in that is meant) into being a rightwing Republican hack for party.

No, sorry, but my hate for treason is non-partisan and I attack it wherever I find it. It is a loyalty to country ... not party. Your effort to make me the subject of your "hack" attack must be personally motivated, eh? Since, you aren't the anti-patriotic traitor who wants to lose this war for votes, right? So ... how is it that you have become so ... so ... impressed, eh?

Goat,

See TAD is pulling a Rush on you, you say something he does not agree with you are called out "SPINNING TO THE LEFT", just like Rush does to Military members who do not "Carry His Water" become "Phony Soldiers" !!!

-Sarge

Sarge makes excuses, "That Is Why He Edited It, Duh !!"

No, it was edited to place the entire comment in context, but not the irrelevant parts of the show before or after that doesn't add to the facts under discussion. It is done to assist a busy viewing public, not to dupe them, and since they can listen to the entire program if they have doubts and want the truth.

I said "Free of ads btw, something the mainstream insists you suffer through on their internet sites..."

"You Tool You Have To Pay To Join, That Is The Reason No Ads, Damn !"

You can join the site without paying anything at all and get a daily show update, or not! But, it is typical for your ilk to claim your expostulations as the truth when you don't have a clue!

Just like silly children who capitalize the first letter of every word they write -- like some gradeschool girl with little hearts to dot their "I's".

You really are a cutey, Sarge.

My comments aren't in support of party, Goat, so why do you call me a partisan hack?

I didn't. It was frank in his 4:01 post. I never did.

You need to keep up with the thread before you make accusations, Tad.

Sarge schmoozes, "See TAD is pulling a Rush on you, you say something he does not agree with you are called out "SPINNING TO THE LEFT" ..."

Well, not actually, and since I was mentioning the effort to get personal and to make me the subject of derogatory comments and rather than addressing the various points of discussion. That practice by the Leftist/Democratics being used against disagreement, now.

The Limbaugh issue is a perfect example, and in the same way that I am a "hack", Rush is a "hack", also. Not that I am in any way as much of one as Rush happens to be, certainly! He isn't defending Republicans, even if he fails to attack them, much, which he does on occasion. He is rather answering Leftist/Democratics, and he also is surprised when those who are otherwise conservatives, attack his assertions or opinions.

I'm not the reverse example of whoever Goat was so gracious in comparing me to ... an anarchist radical or reactionary is that animal! Yet, Goat, got personal to that hyperbolic degree ...!

I'll guess he has some ulterior motive for doing so ... probably because he wants to evolve into agreeing that this war is lost, a failure and we should withdraw ... even if it means the loss of freedom and democracy for millions; as well as whatever thousands of lives are lost in reprisal for USA abandonment of principle and honor ...

I hope I'm wrong though ... we'll see ...

Yet, Goat, got personal to that hyperbolic degree ...!

Where did I get personal, Tad? I guess you either selectively read posts, or you hope that somehow your mistaken attribution of a quote to me will somehow evaporate if you keep citing me as the author.

Read the thread again, starting at 4:01. That is if you want to know your error.

Goat says, "Where did I get personal, Tad?"

Wait! I must be very, very bad to think that this was getting personal:

"So how is it Tad is a partisian hack, but you're not?"

If he is not a partisan hack, then neither would I be one? What is the alternative? I am a hack as well as he is one?

"... I don't see the distinction between you two except y'all being at opposite ends of the political spectrum."

A reactionary hack is one end of the spectrum, and its opposite being a radical hack. You don't see any distinction between we two, except our opposite hackness.

"I guess you either selectively read posts, or you hope that somehow your mistaken attribution of a quote to me will somehow evaporate if you keep citing me as the author."

I really have to laugh at this.

"Read the thread again, starting at 4:01. That is if you want to know your error."

My status is as a bete noire to Leftist/Democratics. I'm a hack to them ... and apparently to you, too.

"So how is it Tad is a partisian hack, but you're not?"

That was a quote from Frank at 4:01 (for the third time) Are really that dense or are you trolling?

My status is as a bete noire to Leftist/Democratics. I'm a hack to them ... and apparently to you, too.

More like bete ignarus

Goat repeats, "That was a quote from Frank at 4:01 (for the third time) Are really that dense or are you trolling?"

Here is what Frank said at 4:01: "You-child-are a partisan hack-you have no thoughts of your own-you just cut&paste limpdick's and any rethuglickin's comments on anything."

Here is the first part of your reply (also a repeat due to your lack of reading comprehension):

"So how is it Tad is a partisian hack, but you're not?"

Is Frank a partisan hack, Goat? Aren't you presenting the impression that I am as much of a partisan hack as Frank might be in his commentary?

Of course you are! You confirm it with this, second part, of your "question" about hacks:

""... I don't see the distinction between you two except y'all being at opposite ends of the political spectrum."

Is Frank a radical hack, Goat? Am I a reactionary hack, Goat? Say!?! Maybe it is you who can't quite grasp the meaning of what you, yourself write!???

Is that it? Are you actually that much of a cement-for-brains?

"More like bete ignarus"

Yep, you've got the Jones, boy ...

Limbaugh: Murtha's a Phony Soldier Too

I don't think Murtha is a "phony" soldier but he has a lot of explaining to do for denying the soldiers at haditha the presumption of immocence and calling them "war criminals" . They were later exonerated. At the very least he owes every soldier an apology. He should be given a formal censure or reprimand by the House. And I hope that those soldiers sue the pants off him for defamation.

You are right, of course, Tad

Bowa

Link to this exoneration?

Tadowe

You are a partisan hack. How can you even feign outrage at the charge? Bush could kill your whole family, cut off your arms and legs, set you on fire and shoot your dog and you would still suck his balls for the sweat.

Why did I bother listing hundreds of Iraq War veterans (including General officers) who are opposed to the war?

The only 'phony' is Limpbaw - the guy who used a boil to avoid the draft.

"He should be given a formal censure or reprimand by the House."

Say, Goat, how about this one? Am I as much of a hack as this Leftist/Democratic yearning for a neo-McCarthyism to use the power of government to attack and destroy individual Americans who practice their freedom of speech?

Maybe you could use me as your scapegoat to underline just how vicious and evil they are in their tyrannical desires ... or get on their good-side in hopes of converting them to the *CENTER*!???

Is that it? Do you have some desire to convince the brainwashed of the errors of their way ... along with reactionaries like me; just another example of American rightwing hackness, as they represent the leftwing hackery?
"You are right ..."

Go patronize someone who has some respect for your callow elitism.

TadOwd

Pssst.....

Dale Carnagie - "How to Win Friends and Influence People"

BB crows, "You are a partisan hack. How can you even feign outrage at the charge?"

I don't care, and you know that! Goat got irresponsible with his accusations, and I enjoy underlining mistakes that invoke my name in such commentary. It allows me to express my disdain for such tactics, and I really do appreciate the unconscious examples presented for me to do so!

You are a pip of such an unconscious urge to reveal your idiocy in that way, crabwalking your debate in neurotic circles!

"Bush could kill your whole family, cut off your arms and legs, set you on fire and shoot your dog and you would still suck his balls for the sweat."

Yeah, I'm the hack all right ...

Yeah, I'm the hack all right ...

Yes, but more acutely, a raving fucking lunatic. I think we can all agree to that.

Goatman,

Taddy boy pretty much hates everyone who isn't Taddy Boy.

Your crime, sin if you will, in the book of Tadowe is two fold. First you seek reason, and Tadowe doesn't see objective reason, his deeply held beliefs about America and Americans must not ever be challenged. To do so makes you a subversive traitor.

The second sin is deigning to speak with we, the leftist/democratics in a civil manner. That automatically makes you on of us and despite your claims to the contrary, in Tadowe's eyes, you will always be categorized as an interloper in Tadowe's world. Regardless of how reasonable you are, he will always denigrate you because of your rationality and your fraternization with the enemies of America.

It's a shame, because I hear he's a laugh riot at Funerals.

Hey, Trees!

I was wanting to share my meal tonight. Glad you are here.

Loved the Tad analysis BTW. Sounds about right.

My sister and brother in law will be here about 6:00. I have some lamb chops with olive oil and fresh rosemary in the fridge now. I will cook them on the grill. To go with, some roasted garlic and jalapeno mashed potatoes, baby carrots and sugar peas (I love those) in butter, and spring greens with a sesame salad dressing.
The wine is a Paso Robles Cab, "Wild Horse" 2005

For dessert Bananas Foster.

I don't have long before they are here. A couple of more posts, then I'm off line for a while.

Hiya Goatman!

Dinner sounds amazing!

The shark was a bust so I wound up doing the scallops and mussels...both were wonderful!

I've been toying around with trying some lamb..may have to give it a go around my birthday in October.

I'm making the veggie beef stew when I get home from work tonight...I'm looking forward to it, I love that dish!

Gonna do an old fashioned roast tomorrow with quarted baked baby red potatoes and a sweet pepper/mango salad.

I'll be off line till Tuesday or Wed...when ever my new service is connected at home. Finally kicked Time Warner out of my house so I am without internet at home.

Have a GREAT dinner!

Send a bowser bag to California.
Are all you Texans such great cooks?

Are all you Texans such great cooks?

Just the good looking ones. *grin*

Where does Limbo let the balls to be a critic of someone elses war record? He never served and never tried to serve. It's not like he volunteered and was rejected. He avoided the draft because of , get this, a boil on his ass! Outside of his radio show if you didn't know Limbo his resume would read something like this: fired from his job at least 8 times, never finished college, divorced what 3 or 4 times, convicted of illegally obtaining prescription pain pills and presently on probation. This guy is on the air pumping up the dumb asses that can't think for themselves and cheerfully sending their flesh and blood to fight for oil and Limbos stock portfolio along with the other neocons.

I think I said yesterday, I never liked shark. I guess I never figured out how to do it right. But don't worry about the bust. The mussels and scallops made up for it, I'm sure.

I almost did a "sunday dinner" style roast today, but that lamb stew from last week left a taste in my mouth and I stayed with it.

The pepper mango salad: sounds yummy! I do a mango salsa with hot peppers (chiles for us Texans) and cilantro. Goes great with smoked pork tenderloin.

I'm lucky they have good food on the rig because I am headed back out there Wednesday. It is different from what I cook, but it is still good.

Hope I'net comes back up without a hitch.

Hey, anytime y'all find yourself in Austin my kitchen is always open. ;)

I promise my chili can kill yours, Zat.

As Frank X Tolbert said of the perfect chili:

Take your favorite chili recipe and leave out all but 3 ingredients

I'm paraphrasing, but it is the best advice for a good chili. A good chili cook knows what to do with those three ingredients.

Actually, it looks like about 90 or so--9 pages of about 10 troops each. Not exactly Vietnam, eh? But hey! Look at the bright side!! They always need guys like you to count up the people showing up at so-called "Million-Man Marches", antiwar rallies, and pro-choice demonstations.

"425, 426, 427,428 . . . what do you say we just round it up to 15,000, and go get a beer?"

Wick Fowler was a friend of mine

My mother's maiden name is Gebhardt. But I don't ruin my chili with his powder. I make my own seasoning -- all the way from smoking the chilis myself and crushing the whole cumin.

It takes me two full days and an open fire to make a decent chili.

"My mother's maiden name is Gebhardt."

Cool

I'm a namesake of Wick's opponent at Terlingua.

Wick's been dead for years, his son Gordon (married to Marcia Ball for a while, owned La Zona Rosa) sold the product to some mega corp years ago.

Goatman likes this analysis of his new obsession, by Trees, an old addict, "Taddy boy pretty much hates everyone who isn't Taddy Boy."

I'm a hack and a hater, right, Goat?

"Your crime, sin if you will, in the book of Tadowe is two fold. First you seek reason, and Tadowe doesn't see objective reason, his deeply held beliefs about America and Americans must not ever be challenged. To do so makes you a subversive traitor. "

My belief, if you will, is in the justice of freeing millions from repression and the fear of genocide (save your stupid arguments about genocide being abour race, alone). I agreed that Saddam should be removed for his tyranny and threat of WMD (save your stupid excuses about no WMD) and to his Arab neighbors. The USA has ended the threat of WMD, the threat of genocide, and provided a chance for democracy and a civilized way of life that is safe from such repression.

All of America has done that, despite the screaming, yelling and efforts to sabotage victory in Iraq. Those who attack me, attack disagreement with Leftist/Democratics who can't stand that sort of highlighting of their calumny and subversions to gain partisan advantage for just some Americans ... not all.

"The second sin is deigning to speak with we, the leftist/democratics in a civil manner."

Too funny, and since I've only discussed Goat's efforts to hold me up to ridicule, and his evolving agreement with the need to abandon millions of Iraqis to the victory of Islamic human sacrifice to rule the ME, and the fear and repression that would inflict on those who trust in our protection.

The Leftist/Democratics don't want a victory for the USA in fighting al Qaeda and others who use terrorism. In their partisan, blinkered concept of reality, that would also mean a victory for Bush and Republicans and a loss for them. So, they attack Bush and Republicans by supporting the idea that we should lose this fight, or that it is already lost, in order to defeat their hated opponent, and even if it means a loss for all the United States. What a scummy, traitorous attitude to have --- reminds me of the ends-justify-the-means practice used by our enemy in WWII ...

" That automatically makes you on of us and despite your claims to the contrary, in Tadowe's eyes, you will always be categorized as an interloper in Tadowe's world. Regardless of how reasonable you are, he will always denigrate you because of your rationality and your fraternization with the enemies of America."

You sure can describe yourselves ... I'll give you that! How very freudian for you to do it for me ... to so blithely put words of self-description in my mouth for me ...

"It's a shame, because I hear he's a laugh riot at Funerals."

Well, Goat? What was the best part you liked about Trees description of me? BTW, I can't tell you how much I also enjoy your unconscious efforts to describe me as the subject to attack, and to schmooze agreement with others in that effort ... I know you now know how much I respect such activity.

I am pretty sure now you will be in complete agreement with Leftist/Democratic efforts to subvert the success of this war and that rightwing 'hack haters' like me will be your subject to revile and dismiss as ignorasus of one sort or another ...

Violating my very recent promise, I'll boil down Tad's ideas regarding the opinions of soldiers on war for him:

Since this most political of opinions is by definition going to be a partisan point for someone-----You can never, ever state anything about it, whether in the service or long out of it.

Unless, of course, the opinion is pro-war---In which case the worry about partisanship vanishes, as it is Tad's views that are supported.

Now, Tad will now type five pages telling us why this is arrant nonsense, and then type five more agreeing with me entirely.

"Leftist/Democrat efforts to subvert this war...."

As Tad knows, I've long argued that Bush attempts to subvert his own war. Now, that's a weird idea until you realize there are about one-hundred people getting richer than Croesus because of his FUBARS.

Zed- you boiled it down. Now try this:

If a poster agrees with Tad's position they are attempting to schmooze him. If someone NOT in contact with Tadowe agrees with his position they are patriots.

If either of the two above groups disagree they are subversives/leftists/
democrats/traitors.

It's that simple.

Well, Goat? What was the best part you liked about Trees description of me? BTW, I can't tell you how much I also enjoy your unconscious efforts to describe me as the subject to attack, and to schmooze agreement with others in that effort ... I know you now know how much I respect such activity.

Don't ever change, honey. You really are funny.

Booga Booga, baby!

I know this is weird--but why are there not any quotes in the story highlighted that quote Rush talling about Murtha??

There are NO quotes around Murtha--

Here is the same discussion from Rush's site.

www.rushlimbaugh.com

I listen to Rush pretty much every day--can't always hear every word. But he did not talk about Murtha. He was talking aobut the Jesse guy and the Iraqi diary guy on the New Nation (or whatever)

I don't always agree with him--but good grief folks--when the guy is talking about one guy and Media Matters proceeds to smear him and some of you go along with it--because you hate Rush--you are short-sighted.

Because your favorites will be next if they don't tow and kowtow the Media Matters line.

AND CA Chris--

You better change your Independent status before the primary--or you will be forced to vote for someone you never heard of.

If you are an independent--unless you want to vote for one--you are forced to vote for someone on their list--you don't get to choose Dem or Repub--you get the "I" list.

Just so you know.

Murphy

Alex says, "If a poster agrees with Tad's position they are attempting to schmooze him."

Of course, you know that it is specifically about using agreement to attack someone else that I object to, but nevertheless exaggerate in order to revile, rather than explain.

"If someone NOT in contact with Tadowe agrees with his position they are patriots."

Again, you know that I have said I correspond for those who don't reply, and not the brainwashed partisans such as yourself. I don't claim that any non-responders are patriots. However, your lie is demonstrative of my point concerning your obsession with making me your subject du jour, and as trite as
this proof of the NAZI-like effort you will go to to libel me, as a hated enemy.

"If either of the two above groups disagree they are subversives/leftists/
democrats/traitors.
"

No, it is those who attempt to lose this war for partisan gain over the failure it would be made to be the fault of Bush/Republicans... In that event, Leftist/Democratics will have won a victory along with those they assist in winning in Iraq at our retreat. Scum subversives like that, Alex.

"It's that simple."

Indeed! It is simple that Goat, Trees, Frank, Zed, Chris and a host of others are making me the subject to revile and turn into a hack hater, a troll and why?

Because I insult those who are attempting to lose a war for all of the USA, so that their party alone will win a political victory ... to hell with millions of Iraqis and the rule of terrorism you assist in your greed for power for your gang of politicians ...

Say, Goat, did you make your move a bit too soon?

AND CA Chris--

You better change your Independent status before the primary--or you will be forced to vote for someone you never heard of.

If you are an independent--unless you want to vote for one--you are forced to vote for someone on their list--you don't get to choose Dem or Repub--you get the "I" list.

Just so you know.

Yes, Murphy, thanks. I was aware of that about not being able to vote in the primaries. But I'm going to stick with being a registered independent. That only applies to the primaries, though. I can vote for whomever I want in the main election as a registered independent.

Tadowe is so fun not to read now, I just skip over his posts because they say nothing, just jibbering and double talking anecdotes.

fucking funny, why is limbaugh in the news for the DEMOCRATS?

Moneywar gets jejune, "Tadowe is so fun not to read now, I just skip over his posts because they say nothing, just jibbering and double talking anecdotes."

I am important enough for you to deny reading my commentary, but you won't understand that, because you are in denial. Better if you had just been direct and said, "Just don't read the curmudgeon."

Otherwise you are acting out like some sophomore who thinks that claiming to be a Democrat or Republican (even and independent), in order to play at being a stalking horse, is suave, rather than reality being trite and callow.

Thanks LimpBlob, each and every word helping to ensure a GOP free WH.

ROTFL

I've worn
Push Ups before, but it's really sticky and those orange stains are a bitch to get out in the wash.

"I was vilified in Vietnam...I was verbally abused, followed by my own fellow soldiers, and had my assignment changed from Berlin to San Anontio, Texas, after leaving 'Nam."

So,
Tinkerbell was hated by those who knew him best: Soldiers who served with him. Talk about the need for combat pay!

Based on Tinkerbell's posts you would think that the real problem was that he was teased by his barracks mates because he had the smallest "little soldier" in the tent.

Would go miles to explaining Tinkerbell's hate-filled attitude today.

Now, he's off to cash his vet's pension and Social Security ... damn those "democratics!"

My point was that there are hundreds if not thousands of veterans of Iraq who are opposed to the war and are hardly 'phony soldiers'.

I happen to know a couple myself.

But, please mince words and pretend that Republican generals who resigned to speak out don't count as American voices in opposition to the war and the administration's handling of it. That they're somehow 'phony soldiers'.

How many 'real soldiers' has Rush Limpbaw recruited to go to Iraq? We're running so short guys are on their 3rd combat now 15 month tours, there are tens of thousands of 'private contractors', and even the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is opposed to the 'surge' strategy and worries that Iraq has left us vulnerable to fight any other conflicts that may arise and the current military stretched to the breaking point.

How was dinner, Goatman?

-rather than reality being trite and callow.

You should listen to him.

Not many people know trite and callow quite as intimitely as Turdowe.

Good. But my sister and her family got here so late the coals were too far gone and I had to pan fry the lamb chops inside. But they were still good.

That might very well be. There were thousands of troops disillusioned with island-hopping in the Pacific, or with the disastrous airborne campaigns in the ETO, or the retreat on the Phillipines. That was during the Second World War, one almost everyone now agrees was worth fighting. Want to get into the morale of the Union troops during the Civil War? How about Bosnia--I spent a lot of time there, just sitting on my ass, not doing anything that mattered at all. Ditto for the our missions to Africa during the 1990's, for which I've yet to meet the first person who thought we should be going there. Big deal.
We're in Iraq. We're at war in Iraq. So we have two choices. Fight and win, or withdraw. Or cut and run. Or, if you're really into Orwellian doublespeak, "redeploy". Personally, I don't think the United States will be successful at warfare until the Vietnam generation (Murtha, Kerry, Clinton, Bush) dies off. But hopefully this time it's different. There are no mass rallies, no giant demonstrations, and no websites listing tens of thousands of troops who oppose the war. You're the one who claimed you listed hundreds, but you didn't even break into triple digits. Not that you wouldn't get there, were you to spend some more time Googling, though.
So, we'll see.

Goat

Dart board jokes aside, nice photo you took. Sort of how I figured you -- except for the beard. But, then, when one is a goat...

also, curious, not being super internet savvy, what do people do with their "own domain"? I mean, what is the purpose of it if you already have email and stuff? Kind of a "home base" sort of thing to put up photos for family and friends or what?

If you go to my host page on Blog Talk Radio you can actually see the real me. Not hot, but not a trucker named Duane either.

I shall remain domain-less.
I don't even know how to upload a picture or have the equipment to do it. Hell, I don't even have a cell phone. But my Dell 4600 keeps me content.

You know CC--just because you don't have a domain, doesn't mean you can't be the Master of Your Domain.

Funny, Mr. Seinfeld, funny *grin*

If you don't support this war then keep your mouth SHUT. Simple as that.

Hans joins the schmooze goons, "So, Tinkerbell was hated by those who knew him best: Soldiers who served with him. Talk about the need for combat pay!"

I had just arrived at the interrogation center 2 weeks before this incident. My commanding officer shouted, "What the f'uck you think you are, you hippy faggot! This prisoner you're trying to protect stole your radio! He deserves to have his bones broken, the gook prick!"

Yes, he hated my guts! Just like you and your ilk!

"Based on Tinkerbell's posts you would think that the real problem was that he was teased by his barracks mates because he had the smallest "little soldier" in the tent."

I like the "Tinkerbell" attempt to mock something I've said, like that officer, above, mocked my wanting to abide by rules and regulations in mentioning the Geneva Convention to him.

I've told in this forum how my native American forebears loved the metal bells the white man brought. They used them to protect against bear attacks, because the bears and other animals would avoid the noise made by them when they traveled through the woods. They also liked the sound and beat it made when they danced ...

I'm proud of that heritage, the common sense of my forefathers and the name "Tinkerbell" to celebrate it.

Thanks, Hans.

Stinkerbell, more like.

I was a soldier, am I a "phony" one for wanting the USA to win in Iraq?

Everyone here knows I support this war, and I'm reviled and defammed, routinely -- daily that I post here! All the other soldiers and ex-soldiers who come here to support victory in Iraq, against the call for utter defeat and retreat by Leftist/Democratics, earns them instant opprobrium and hateful epithets much worse than "phony"!

Yet, here you are, pretending to defend soldiers, but only if they cry havoc along with the losing leftists and want defeat for the USA, in order to gain partisan political advantage for the gang of Democratics!

What a bunch of disgusting, hypocritical subversives you ends-justify-the-lies gang over nation curs just happen to be in your yellow-dogness ...

TadOwe

It is because of the inept CiC that we're in the mess we're in.

They never planned for anything beyond 'chocolates and flowers'. they fired generals who told them things they didn't want to hear - things we know now would have averted a lot of this mess, like a large enough invasion force. We didn't invade Omaha Beach with 10,000 soldiers and 'hope for the best'. We went in with overwhelming force. Something recommended by the Army Chief of Staff yet disregarded. And he was forced into retirement for it rather than becoming the next Chairman Joint Chiefs - a position for which he was next in line.

You earned your right to support the war. OTHERS earned their right to be against it. How about allowing them THEIR opinions too big guy?

I was thinking of a retired military intelligence loser. Anybody you and I know?

MAD OL ME

TAKE YOUR MEDS!!!!

AU says, "It is because of the inept CiC that we're in the mess we're in."

We think with words, all our intelligence is based on the words and the associations we can make with them. So, it always amazes me that the intelligence displayed in transposing opinion into writing, is abandoned when partisanship takes over and the greed to 'win' an exclusive victory for party, at the expense of nation, becomes paramount.

In that instance, reason is useless against the belief and faith in party, and the false loyalty that engenders. At that time, partisanship allows the idea that party is more important than the nation. That victory for party power is more important than a victory for the nation against the enemy of all of us. The idea that it is justifiable, it is free speech, and even patriotic to attempt to lose in Iraq, if it means a win for Democratics...

"They never planned for anything beyond 'chocolates and flowers'."

This is an ignorant lie. You can't move a war into the ME, invade and depose a genocidal tyrant, assist the people of the land to conduct elections, choose a democratic constitution, gain a tentative freedom with almost universal suffrage, and fight to stave off terrorist attacks to stop freedom and democracy ... without plans. Only the real nutjobs make this claim and display their rank ignorance.

"... they fired generals who told them things they didn't want to hear ..."

Just more lies! No one was fired for that, and you know it! There is absolutely no sense in trying to explain anything to you, AU, but thanks for the chance to underline what a smart stooge you are for party over nation ... no doubt of your 'yellow-dog' status in faith ... your 'precious'...

Mad finds religion, "Yopo is a way of life. THE GOOD LIFE!!!!"

Yopo is one of the tryptamines, a short acting lightshow of 30 minutes, that takes 48 hours to recover from ...

Well, you know that goes both ways. For all I hear about you guys wanting Jenna and Barbara to pick up a rifle and join the fighting, I don't recall too many lefty volunteers in Bosnia. Or Haiti. Or Zaire. Was Chelsea in another unit or something? How about the Kennedy generation?--they must've joined the Marines, I guess. For damn sure I would've heard about it were they in the Army during the 1990's. Fact is, life today makes it easy to advocate something, then not live it, vis a vis all the lefty hysteria on Global Warming which results in absolutely zero change in the way they actually live.
During the Civil War, tens of thousands of Union men got out of their obligation by paying someone else to take their place. Rotten, cowardly thing to do. So can we say that the Civil War wasn't worth fighting, just because of that fact? How about the hundreds of thousands of troops who came home as anti-war types?
That's the problem when you want to take an opinion poll of soldiers. As soon as the shooting starts, most of us want to just get home. Funny, though--you guys are all anxious to find out what this general said or this sergeant thinks about George Bush, but Al Gore shuffled his goons to Florida in 2000 to throw out every military absentee they could get their hands on.

Nobody is more of a phony than Rush Limbaugh. He has nothing to say. A big empty suit. How often does he really talk about what he believes in? He spends his entire show degrading "the other side," rather than explaining why he's (supposedly) a conservative.

I can't get over how many liberals listen to Rush Limbaugh.
Let me help out here, since you seem ignorant of something. You wanna know what Limbaugh does for a living? I'll give you a hint--it's the same as Oprah, the Today Show, and the cast of Gray's Anatomy. He's an entertainer. He sells advertising. And you liberals are his biggest demographic. You listen to him, just so you can get upset, then you come on here and cut-and-paste his every word. You think the people who put ads on his show care whether or not you agree with him, let alone like him?

Really, Hans, thank you!

I can't get over how many liberals listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Unfortunately, he comes on the same radio station as a program I like to listen to some nights.

Other times, I listen for 10 or 20 minutes just to be sure nothing has changed about him. Same old rants for decades now.

"It's all THEIR fault. If only but for THEM we'd be hunky dorey"

Sure

RiR

So, the GOP did have TOTAL control for 6 years and made a huge mess of everything. Therefore, Rush's wish for the GOP to run the show being fulfilled left us heavily in debt, in a quagmire in iraq, and with the largest social program since the 60's. And they managed all that working 1 1/2 days a week when they were in session.

Uh huh

I said to him, "...you can't critize Rush if you never listened to him", but the problem with that is all you get is "blame" someone else or hate the libs. never any substance just bull pupu. it is amazing how many people believe bull pupu. his listeners have a vast lack of intellectual prowess.

I'm an old, bald, hybrid who is used to the attentions of your ilk. You're like a pissant, pinche, little scumbag bully, in my book. I get a lot of enjoyment from having you and your kind demonstrate just how vicious a pack of yellow-dogs can be!

Congratulations Hans on winning the Tadowe Award. This old, bald, hybrid won't settle for anything less than a complete humiliation and financial bankruptcy of the once free American Republic.

"Of course, being that kind of quixotic idiot, that incident wasn't the first time democratic agreement was used to mock and revile me. That happened from the 1st grade on ..."

Hated and reviled in the service.

Hated and reviled around the Internet

I can't get over how many liberals listen to Rush Limbaugh.
Let me help out here, since you seem ignorant of something. You wanna know what Limbaugh does for a living? I'll give you a hint--it's the same as Oprah, the Today Show, and the cast of Gray's Anatomy. He's an entertainer. He sells advertising. And you liberals are his biggest demographic. You listen to him, just so you can get upset, then you come on here and cut-and-paste his every word. You think the people who put ads on his show care whether or not you agree with him, let alone like him?

I'm well aware he's an entertainer, RiR. That's why I said he's "supposedly" a conservative. Because I'm not sure he really believes all the stuff he says. He just likes to rile people.

That doesn't mean he's not a complete ass.

I do listen to him occasionally (when I happen to be in the car around lunchtime) just to hear what he's ranting about. I like exposing myself to all sides and having my beliefs challenged. But with Rush it's always the same - the liberals are evil, the Democrats are corrupt. Instead of trying to inspire me to change my mind about something, he just insults me because I'm one of "them."

It's a shame, because sometimes I agree with the conservative viewpoint. But alas, Limbaugh offers no opportunity for accord. Intelligent debate isn't what he's all about. Instead, it's - as you put it - about selling advertising. Too bad more of his listeners don't get that, and instead, with every toxic broadcast they just get angrier and more hateful of people who might have a differing view.

Guess you missed that he wasn't fired, right? You believe the propaganda, and so you can play at being ignorant of the truth ...

Jackass is the perfect icon for your party of intransigence and proselying failure.

TAD,

Wrong Buddy !!! Damn when will you keep up with the Fucking Times?

General Shinseki's replacement took his position a Year early as Chief Of Staff, because the SECDEF did not like what he was saying !! So Shinseki sat around the Pentagon in a Basement Office waiting for his Retirement date for a Year, while his replacement whom was a General (Pete Schoomaker)whom I know personally, that was brought out of Retirement because No One Wanted The Job After What Rumsfeld Did To Shinseki, was doing his job !!

Here Learn Something:

Retired Commando Chief Is Chosen to Lead the Army

By THOM SHANKER
Published: June 11, 2003
Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld broke with precedent today by reaching out to a retired Special Operations commander as his choice for Army chief of staff, sending an unmistakable signal of his desire to reshape the oldest and largest armed service.

Have you ever listened to the cackling of Stephanie Miller and the two semi-men that are her cheerleaders? I can't think of one mainstream radio host on the left or the right that doesn't attempt to incite their followers.

Rush is more popular with listeners, and apparently the lefties are those listeners. Any given day you'll see a bunch of leftwingers quoting Rush or discussing that days show. I don't see anyone on the right, other than the guy with the kid in Iraq (the poster) talk about Rush's show.

Long story short, Murtha sold those Marines out and now he's getting sued over it. He will prevail due to some shitty rules, but he shouldn't, Murtha should be raked over the Coals for the way he "supported" his fellow Marines and our military in general.

AU says, "General Shinseki's replacement took his position a Year early as Chief Of Staff, because the SECDEF did not like what he was saying !!"

Contrary to Democratic candidate John Kerry's claim, in the first debate of the 2004 presidential election, Shinseki was not "retired" for his testimony before Congress. His official term as Chief of the Army ended four months later and he retired as scheduled.

"So Shinseki sat around the Pentagon in a Basement Office waiting for his Retirement date for a Year..."

You open mouth and insert foot! Shinseki retired four months after his testimony, and had announced his retirement in 2002! You blatantly lie in order to exaggerate the facts! And ... I'm the tool, right?

Here's why Shinseki is one of the finest soldiers our country has had and why you hate soldiers like him:

"General Shinseki has kept a strict public silence since retiring in June 2003 and would often say to his associates, "I do not want to criticize while my soldiers are still bleeding and dying in Iraq."

You faithless partisan dogs don't care about our troops in the field, though, isn't that right, subversives? After all, the vast majority of those fighting now ARE conservatives who have joined patriotically to fight inhuman sacrifice! They are heroes who believe in the justness of this war!

That's why you only mention soldiers out-of-context, and dehumanize them at every opportunity!

What a bunch of partisan scumsucking traitors Leftist/Democratics make of themselves! A pack of party yellow-dog liars ...

What's worse, calling a politician a phony soldier, or publicly casting guilt on the Haditha marines before they'd even had a trial?

Murtha is a traitor, even if he used to be a good soldier.

Live or Die

Bush is a traitor. Murtha is an American Hero. Bush is an American coward. I can understand why Live or Die identifies with Bush. He hates America and freedom as much as Bush. Bush should be imprisoned next to Manson, and I bet Manson would make Bush his bitch--and Bush would like it between Jeff Gannon conjugal visits.

People who declare our marines guilty before their trials are heroic and somehow American. Elvis is alive and aliens abducted me when I was a child.

Signed,
Buffalo_Boob

to a right winger everyone is a traitor, it's but one proof of their stupidity. they all gather under a huge banner (the banner says "HATE")

Hate is not an American value (yes it is , to right wingers, read previous posts for proof)

Now we have that fat bastard "HANS" aka boyd/badweek/cooper to bless us with his presence...ack..ack...fuck us..

I asked whether you treat your gay patients any differently and you ran for the hills. How about it? Are you going to answer the question?

Live or Die

Why do you support a chickenshit radio broadcaster who lied about a boil on his butt to keep out of Viet Nam?

Why do you support a Commander in Chief who make Limbaugh look like Audie Murphy?

It must be because you are just like them. Cowards who hate America and make their living off the blood of Americans in Iraq. Are you a contractor? Halliburton employee? Closeted homosexual?

Buffalo_Bob, why do you supporting accusing our marines of being guilty of crimes before they've been given a chance in court? Are you a closeted homosexual?

support*

Here's what Buffalo_Bob thinks of American soldiers.

You sucked the taxpayers for all you could get and now you still live like the parasite you are.

Blowing your horn about wearing a unifrom for 21 years for a country you hate is nothing to brag about.

Posted by Buffalo_Bob at 2007-09-28 12:02 PM

Is it any wonder you support the casting of guilt on marines before their day in court?

Live or Die

There is only one marine going to trial dumbass. I don't support or condemn him one way or the other.

The facts are women and children were killed. Other than that, the facts will come out at the trial.

Here is what Live or Die thinks of American soldiers.

TAD,

You Insipid Drone !!!

He Was Removed From his Position As Army Chief Of Staff After 4 Months, NOT RETIRE !!!

"In another unusual move, Rumsfeld has tapped Army Gen. Jack Keane, the No. 2 officer in the Army, to succeed the current chief of that service, Gen. Eric Shinseki, whose term runs out next year. Selecting a successor for the current chief so far in advance is highly unusual." [9] This reported departure from precedent somewhat undercut Shinseki's authority within the Army. However, it has never been established where this report came from, or whether it had any basis in fact; in the event, Shinseki's successor was not Keane, but Peter Schoomaker.

"His official term as Chief of the Army ended four months later and he retired as scheduled."

Jack Murtha. Traitor or patriot, You be the judge.

Modernization of the military was largely neglected during the decline of the Soviet Union. Instead of adapting to changing military realities during the 1990's, then-President Clinton and his Democrat allies often failed to invest in new fighting techniques and technologies, while spearheading reductions in spending that cut too deep. Along with many fellow House Democrats, Rep. Murtha supported wreckless budget cuts to the military.

Voted against granting rapid acquisition authority to the Secretary of Defense for the purpose of obtaining needed equipment during time of combat emergencies. (Vote 234, 6/14/04)

Rep. Murtha opposed an amendment to require the president to seek additional contributions from countries where U.S. military forces are permanently stationed. The amendment would authorize the president to induce contributions by reducing U.S. troops abroad, imposing taxes or fees similar to those imposed on U.S. forces stationed in foreign nations, or reducing the amount the U.S. contributes to the NATO budget or other bilateral accounts. (Vote 168, 5/14/96)

Voted "yes" for a budget that would have cut defense spending by $60 billion over seven years. (Vote 342, 5/18/95)

Rep. Murtha opposed additional money for military funding in 1995. Vote 865, 12/15/1995

Voted "yes" to doubling the amount of defense cuts proposed by President George H.W. Bush. This budget would cut $16 billion from national defense. Vote 42, 3/5/1992 Vote 41, 3/5/1992

Jack Murtha, traitor or patriot? You be the judge.

Disclosing Intelligence Information

The goal of United States intelligence operations is to gather as much information as possible about governments and groups who seek to harm the United States while maintaining the security of our own national secrets. Votes taken in the House on two issues gave Members of Congress the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to preserving our national secrets.

Rep. Murtha obviously does not appreciate the value of keeping intelligence information close to home. Murtha voted to make it easier to disclose sensitive information.

In response to recent media revelations of classified efforts to undermine terrorist activity in or against the United States, House Republicans acted to express their strong disapproval of the leaks and make known their expectation that the media not report on unauthorized disclosures of classified information which could threaten the success of ongoing investigations. However, Rep. Murtha and other House Democrats aligned their party with the New York Times over the safety and security of U.S. communities when they decided not to support the nonbinding resolution. (Vote #357, 6/29/06)

Jack Murtha, traitor or patriot? You be the judge.

Helping Military Families

Voted for a resolution urging equal pay increases for federal civilian employees and military personnel in FY2005. (Vote 104, 3/31/04) Are bureaucrats realy worth just as much as our men and women fighting overseas?

A Flawed Foreign Policy

Rep. Murtha voted for an amendment prohibiting the use of funds to carry out the travel embargo on Cuba. (Vote #285, 6/14/06)

Rep. Murtha opposed a proposal encouraging a democratic Palestinian government that denounces and combats terrorism and agrees to respect the boundaries and sovereignty of its neighbors and the human rights of all people. (Vote 395, 7/20/05)

Voted for an amendment prohibiting the use of funds to enforce new restrictions and rules in regard to the Cuban travel ban. (Vote 460, 9/21/04)

Voted to block money for implementing new restrictions on gifts to Cuba and personal baggage for travelers to Cuba. (Vote 329, 7/7/04)

Voted for an amendment prohibiting the use of funds to enforce restrictions on remittances of Cuban nationals. (Vote 484, 9/9/03)

Voted against an amendment that would limit the use of funds to enforce the Cuban travel ban only once the president has certified certain terrorism-related conditions in Cuba. (Vote 330, 7/23/02)

Voted for an amendment prohibiting the use of funds to enforce the Cuban travel ban. (Vote 331, 7/23/02)

Voted for an amendment prohibiting the use of funds to enforce restrictions on remittances of Cuban nationals. (Vote 332, 7/23/02)

Opposed legislation to prohibit the use of Defense Department funds to maintain a permanent military presence in Haiti beyond December 31, 1999. (Vote 183, 6/9/99)

Voted against a measure to restrict nuclear cooperation with North Korea until then-President Clinton certified to Congress that North Korea is in compliance with international nuclear agreements, terminated its nuclear weapons program, and permitted independent verification of their nuclear sites. (Vote 321, 7/21/99)

Rep. Murtha voted against a resolution stating that military action should not be taken in Haiti unless the President certifies a danger to U.S. lives or interests, and international organizations should establish a safehaven for Haitian refugees. (Vote 224, 6/9/94)

Rep. Murtha voted against changing Clinton's Somalia withdrawal date from March 31, 1994 to January 31, 1994. (Vote 555, 11/9/93)

Fighting the Global War on Terror

Rep. Murtha voted against an amendment affirming the need to maintain the U.S. facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to detain enemy combatants captured during the War on Terror. (Vote 396, 7/20/05)

According to Rep. Murtha, terrorist detentions and interrogations are NOT fundamental to the successful prosecution of the War on Terror. Vote 298, 6/23/2004

Voted against expressing support for the efforts of the intelligence community. (Vote 293, 6/23/04)

Jack Murtha, traitor or patriot? You be the judge.

Iraq

Led by ultra-liberal Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Murtha and 148 House Democrats voted against a resolution opposing a hasty withdrawal from Iraq. The resolution also:
Supported continuing the efforts to establish a stable democracy for the Iraqis
Honored those Americans who have served their country in the fight against terrorism and have been wounded or killed
Commended the Iraqi people for their successful elections
(Vote #288, 6/16/06)

Achieving a free and stable Iraq sustained by Iraqi security forces is the primary goal of U.S. operations in the country. House Republicans led efforts to reinforce this commitment, making it clear that U.S. Armed Forces should remain in the region until Iraqi forces can protect their nation from both internal and external terrorists trying to undermine the democracy. Rep. Murtha voted against the amendment. (Vote 397, 7/20/05)

In the midst of operations in Iraq, House Republicans passed a simple resolution:
Declaring that the United States and the world is safer with Saddam Hussein and his regime removed from power in Iraq;
Praising the Iraqi people for their courage, withstanding "unspeakable oppression and brutality" at the hand of Saddam Hussein and his regime;
Lauding the adoption of the Iraqi interim constitution;
Commending the United States and Coalition forces for freeing Iraq and their heroic service.

Ask Rep. Murtha if the world is safer with Saddam Hussein removed from power, because Murtha proved to be one of 90 Democrats opposing the resolution. (Vote 64, 3/17/04)

Seriously Sarge, shut the fuck up will you? Clearly Murtha condemned these soldiers before he knew a fucking thing about the case. How's that case turning out so far champ? How's you like it if those were you or your guys caught up in it and a Congressman that once wore the uniform tossed you under the bus?

You try so god damned hard to come across like you know what the fuck you're talking about. As if exclamation points some how make your lame retorts important? Stick to posting youtube clips.

Let's have a QRF for Iraq in Okinawa...

Is this guy playing with a full deck?

The United States and the United Nations

Days after the Government Accountability Office (GAO) testified that "the UN is vulnerable to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement due to a range of weaknesses in existing oversight practices," (GAO-06-877T, GAO, 6/20/06) the majority of House Republicans voted to withhold funding for the $1.7 billion planned renovation of the U.N. headquarters in New York City. Rep. Murtha seemingly turned a blind eye towards the fiscal accountability problems at the United Nations and voted against the amendment. (Vote #342, 6/28/06)

Rep. Murtha opposed accountability measures for U.N. Members engaged in genocide, war crimes or crimes against humanity. (Vote 275, 6/17/05)

The United States pays more in dues to the United Nations than any other member country. Three countries pay more than half of the U.N. budget while the 128 poorest nations pay less than one percent. Even China, with more than one billion people and one of the fastest growing economies in the world is only accountable for two percent of the U.N. budget, while the U.S. pays 22 percent. Yet, many of these nations oppose the United States and the American policies promoted at the U.N. The result is that the U.S. ends up paying for a larger share of U.N. activities even when it does not approve of the final U.N. decision.

In an effort to ensure a more equitable system of assessing U.N. dues, an amendment was offered to the U.N. Reform Act to limit the proportion of dues paid by the United States, compared to what is paid by other members of the U.N. Security Council. Most Democrats, including Rep. Murtha, opposed efforts to ensure U.S. taxpayers are not on the hook for more than their fair share. (Vote 278, 6/17/05)

Rep. Murtha opposed measures to require substantive U.N. reforms prior to the United States making additional monetary contributions to the United Nations. Vote 385, 7/19/2005 Vote 282, 6/17/2005

Voted against reducing funding for international organizations like the United Nations by $20 million. (Vote 342, 7/8/04)

Opposed an amendment that would prohibit funding to the United Nations. (Vote 335, 7/7/04) It would essentially defund the international organization.

Rep. Murtha voted not to deny funding for a contribution to the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). (Vote 333, 7/7/04) President Reagan pulled this nation out of UNESCO in 1984 for its radicalism and anti-Western bias. These sentiments continue today.

Rep. Murtha voted to protect $71 million in funding for the United States' re-entry into the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). (Vote 405, 7/22/03) President Reagan pulled this nation out of UNESCO in 1984 for its radicalism and anti-Western bias. These sentiments continue today.

Jack Murtha, traitor or patriot? You be the judge.

The United Nations overseeing our elections? Rep. Murtha voted against barring the use of funds to request the United Nations oversee and assess the validity of elections in the United States. (Vote 385, 7/15/04)

Rep. Murtha voted against capping our contribution to the regular budget of the United Nations to that of no more than any other permanent member of the Security Council. (Vote 365, 7/15/03)

The United States has been on the U.N. Human Rights Commission since its inception in 1947 until recently. Now, its members include countries such as China, Sudan, and Cuba. Instead of sending a message to the international community, Rep. Murtha voted against legislation to withhold the release of $244 million in U.N. dues until the United States regains its rightful seat on this commission. (Vote 107, 5/10/01)

Rep. Murtha voted against legislation to make monetary contributions to the United Nations contingent on U.N. reforms. (Vote 380, 8/5/99)

Rep. Murtha voted against a bill to prohibit foreign military assistance, but not humanitarian, for any nation that fails to support the U.S. on at least 25 percent of votes in the United Nations general assembly. (Vote 324, 7/21/99)

Voted against eliminating a U.N. debt payment of $475 million. (Vote 392, 8/5/98)

Voted against reducing the U.N. debt payment by $109 million. (Vote 394, 8/5/98)

Voted against limiting the president's ability to place U.S. troops under U.N. command.
Vote 145, 2/16/1995 Vote 225, 6/9/1994

Jack Murtha, traitor or patriot? You be the judge.

The Civil War in Yugoslavia

Rep. Murtha voted against withholding half ($2.1 billion) the funding for Kosovo operations until Clinton certified that European nations were fulfilling their agreed upon share. (Vote 89, 3/30/00)

Rep. Murtha voted to force the Department of Defense to use their regular annual budget to help sustain military operations in Kosovo. Murtha, our military's resources have already been spread thin enough. (Vote 189, 6/10/99)

Voted to allow air operations over the former-Yugoslavia. (Vote 103, 4/28/99)

Voted to pay for American ground forces in Kosovo, sent by then-President Clinton, without prior authorization from Congress. (Vote 100, 4/28/99)

Voted to allow U.S. troops to serve as part of the NATO peacekeeping operation in order to enforce the peace agreement in Kosovo. (Vote 49, 3/11/99)

Jack Murtha, traitor or patriot? You be the judge.

More with Less: Peacekeepers of the World

During the Clinton years, the military was forced to do a lot more with a lot less. According to the House Armed Services Committee, the Army conducted 10 "operational events" in the 30 years prior to 1991. From 1991 to 1998, in seven short years, the number of military operations ballooned to an astounding 26 such deployments, from Haiti to Somalia.

While drastically cutting the military, Clinton has deployed our service men and women many more times than any other president, and Rep. Murtha supported Clinton's foreign policy plans and programs. Case-in-point: our nation's involvement overseas in the former-Yugoslavia.

Voted against removing American troops from Bosnia despite the lack of clearly defined American objectives. (Vote 58, 3/18/98)

Voted against a resolution, which supported U.S. troops sent into Bosnia, but raised concerns about the President's use of the U.S. military in this "peacekeeping" manner. (Vote 857, 12/13/95)

Voted to allow a raid on the defense budget by sending U.S. troops to Bosnia without additional funding. (Vote 814, 11/17/95)

Voted against a measure expressing the sense of the Congress to authorize funding for Clinton's policy of placing U.S. troops into Bosnia. (Vote 745, 10/30/95)

The Fragmented China Plan

Rep. Murtha opposed a measure to prohibit a U.S. taxpayer funded loan for a foreign-owned company building nuclear reactors in China. (Vote 332, 6/28/05)

Rep. Murtha voted against a bill to suspend foreign visits to nuclear labs for a two-year period. Our nuclear technology may be the most precious secret our government maintains. We can't afford to risk this information. In light of possible security breaches by the Chinese government, we must protect this technology at all costs. (Vote 181, 6/9/99)
Voted against a resolution urging then-President Clinton to reconsider his decision to be formally received in China's Tiananmen Square, the sight of the brutal government massacre of innocent pro-democracy protesters in 1989. (Vote 202, 6/4/98)

Jack Murtha, traitor or patriot? You be the judge.

Protecting Human Rights

Recently, several United Nations member countries have opposed pressuring developing nations to improve their human rights records by passing country-specific resolutions. In other words, these countries do not want to expose (or be exposed) to the global community the abuse that goes on in some parts of the world. In order to reaffirm the United States' commitment to improving human rights, Republicans offered an amendment requiring the U.N. to continue to issue country-specific resolutions. Rep. Murtha voted against it. (Vote 274, 6/17/05)

Miscellaneous Issues

Voted against legislation to prohibit loans to foreign countries in excess of $1 billion without congressional authorization. (Vote 304, 7/15/99)

Yeah? Tell it to the boys at Duke. Of course you'll cry about injustice in Jena, but for some odd reason you have no problem calling these guys guilty before a trial.

You're a fucking retard. It has nothing to do with your childish need to capitalize every word or even the multiple punctuations.

What Murtha did was ridiculous. He just wanted to appease the fruits like you so he declared the Marines were guilty without knowing any thing. I'll ask again champ, how's that turning out?

Benidict Arnold served, was he a traitor?

Posted by Lou_Dobbs at 2007-10-01 02:01 PM

Benedict Arnold was an war American hero winning many significant battles for America. Without his leadership in those early battles, there is a good chance there would be no America as we know it today. He was also a traitor to the American cause. He had been passed over for promotion by other generals who took credit for his accomplishments, he was deeply in debt, and he was against the alliance with France.

Sounds like Tadowe.

All above info are chronicled BB. Do the homework and prove them to be untrue.

You Can't.

Boob, as usual you're a dipshit.

Calling Murtha, a politician, a traitor is appropriate, because he smeared marines as murderers, who had not yet been convicted of murder, and hadn't even had a trial.

That doesn't bother you, maybe because you think our soldiers are 'parasites.' (see post above) According to you, Murtha, a politician who's out there verbally fragging our serving marines, is a hero, and I hate America because I thought the marines should have been given a fair trial before being considered guilty of murder. According to you, fair trials for marines is unamerican.

Are you suggesting the marines accused are guilty?

Better let a court decide that.

I'm going with Shitheel for Dobbs. For posting opinion as if it were fact. He may, however, also be a Turd.

101 obviously was never in the service, because he doesn't know the difference between a soldier and a Marine.

Smearing marines as murderers that have not been convicted is not traitorous behaviour. You smeared a marine that had not been convicted of treason, yet that seems ok to you I'm sure.

Lying to the country about WMDs to get the country into a conflict that costs thousands of lives is traitorous behaviour.

It's easy to prove, 101. Just scan your Form P34SUKIT789, fax it to your landlord-mom, and have her mail it to me, where I will scan it again and post it here for all to see.

Don't forget that Henry Kissinger was in on it, too. And that they implanted a chip into her 3 YO daughter's brain and snuck her into the white house so 41 could sodomize her. Also, the woman herself was brainwashed.

What is so funny on Bob's side of it is that he takes the word a woman who is sefl admittedly brainwashed. I tried to get Bob to tell me how her testimony could be reliable if she is brainwashed. It either flies right over him, or he refuses to acknowledge the paradox.

claimed she was enslaved telepathically by Bob Hope.

Gee it is surprising how far people will go to protect pedophiles. The woman was never telepathecally enslaved by Bob Hope or claimed any such thing, and she isn't alone in her accusations. She had been brainwashed from an early age. She isn't alone. People have died because of Bushs pedophilia.

You might want to check out the date on your source. It is from October, 2002.

As to the actual document you refer to---who ran CONGRESS in 1998? WHO? Was it the REPUBLICANS in 1998? I think it was the republicans in 1998. Who declares WAR in 1998? Congress or the President? It seems if congress wanted the President to take
"to take appropriate action, in accordance with the Constitution and relevant laws of the United States, to bring Iraq into compliance with its international obligations", they should have stated what they thought those appropriate actions were, wouldn't you think? Obviously it wasn't WAR, since congress is the only body that authorizes WAR, or did you forget that little point.

I heard him call ALL soldiers who talk against the war as PHONY SOLDIERS.

"CALLER 2: Yeah, and, you know what --

LIMBAUGH: "Save the -- keep the troops safe" or whatever. I -- it's not possible, intellectually, to follow these people.

CALLER 2: No, it's not, and what's really funny is, they never talk to real soldiers. They like to pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and talk to the media.

LIMBAUGH: The phony soldiers.

CALLER 2: The phony soldiers. If you talk to a real soldier, they are proud to serve. They want to be over in Iraq. They understand their sacrifice, and they're willing to sacrifice for their country."

But thanks for playing. Please collect a nice parting gift.

Your hero Mortimer "HillyBilly Heroin" Limblather must make you cream your jeans every time you hear him....

Bullshit. Who posts threads about Limbaugh? 100% of the time it is liberals who do that. THEY are they ones who are "creaming in their jeans" over what Limbaugh says.

I'm convinced that most liberals here either listen to his show regularly or go to the websites obsessed with him.

Why in the fuck do you guys worry about him? You make him relevant.

Yes, he is a bloviating arrogant jerk. Furthermore, he has no room to preach real conservative values considering how he lives his own life.

I think you guys must believe all conservatives need limbaugh.

The Democrats are just striking out like a wounded animal (an Ass perhaps?).

They got burnt by the MoveOn.org ad It hurt them. but instead of just licking their wounds and (for lack of a better term) "moving on", They tried to attack Limbaugh and O'Reilly in the same way even if it meant taking their words out of context.

LOL

The Dems should have held their tongues and taken this sage advice from the movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou? instead:

"Why we'd look like a bunch of Johnny-come-
latelies...braggin' on our own midget--no matter how stumpy." -

Jimmy jumps in, "So now Taddybushbot is equating REAL war veterans who had the audacity to excercise their FREEDOM of speech as undermining our national honor."

Whoa, Jimmy! You can't put that broadbrush down to actually discuss what is happening here, now?

That's okay. It demonstrates my point: Leftist/Democratics are incapable of discussing the points of any topic because they are obsessed with making the subject their personal debate opponent. Kill the messenger is the only tactic that they can use in response to contradiction because they weren't fed the answer by the DNC.

"Josef Stalin would be so proud of you Comrade Taddy."

Why, Jimmy? Because I want to win a victory for the USA against human sacrifice? Because I think this war is a victory for ending Saddam's genocide? Is he proud because I support the fight against theocratic tyranny? How about my effort to get some Leftist/Democratic to actually support and justify their attempts to subvert the success of this war? Is that why he is proud, Jimmy?

"Your hero Mortimer "HillyBilly Heroin" Limblather must make you cream your jeans every time you hear him denegrate the service of REAL war VETERANS solely on the basis that they do not believe in his partisan nonsense."

I know you are a liar, Jimmy. If not, then you will provide the quote, in context, where Limbaugh did what you claim ...

You can't, so you won't, and neither will any other Leftist/Democratic be able to produce such a quote!

That is because it is a complete and total lie made up by Leftist/Democratics to make the messenger the subject!!!

Natches!!!

"The fact that El Blobbo Limblather is now LYING and COWERING under the pressure proves he was and IS WRONG. His brand of "conservatism" is a mental disorder."

No, your are the ilk whining and puling your guts out to lose a war for all the USA!!!!

A Party Of Traitors who are war profiteering for votes!!!

My problem with Rush in general is that he's one of the people most responsible for the great divide in American life, where people like TADOWE call Democrats 'traitors'. His manner is hateful towards the 'left'. He's kind of our own version of Tokyo Rose: Constantly deriding more than half of Americans on a daily basis.

Because I think this war is a victory for ending Saddam's genocide? Is he proud because I support the fight against theocratic tyranny?

Posted by tadowe at 2007-10-02 07:52 AM | Repl

So Saddamm was a THEOCRATIC tyrant? You sir need to gather your facts.

And if you actually understood what IS happening in Iraq the war has replaced one theocratic tyrant with a bunch of little theocratic factions intent on genocide on the other theocratic factions. Instead of Saddam killing people, there is now Sunni's killing Shia and Shia killing Sunni.

So what has changed other than the lack of sanitation, electricity and basic services that our pampered asses take for granted in the United States?

Even the political aspiring General in charge of the surge cannot say that the war has made America safer.

And if you had read my 7:42 am post you would see the actual quote the Limblow used. But you are too partisan to see that.

But keep on keeping on being the chief bloviating traitor destroying America for the profit of contractors and republicant cancer that has infected this nation.

I think you guys must believe all conservatives need limbaugh.

Posted by eberly at 2007-10-02 07:45 AM | Reply

Any real conservative would despise what Mortimer "Polinoidal Cyst" Limblaugh stands for.

Jimmy jumps back, "So Saddamm was a THEOCRATIC tyrant? You sir need to gather your facts."

It is a war on terrorism, Jimmy, and Saddam is just one part of it, as is Afghanistan.

Those practicing terrorism, now ... right now ... are Islamic theocratic fascists intent on ruling the world under Sharia. Their first effort was Israel, and those attacks against our ally have been constant for nearly fifty (50) years now! Not that you could bring yourself to notice!

Saddam supported that goal, and specially in supplying terrorists with arms and ammunition against Israel. His reward for terrorism against the US was bringing combatants into Afghanistan and destabilizing their fledgling democracy ...

Save you idiot quibbles for your choir, Jimmy. That ilk believes every word spoken in defeat and retreat and failure for the USA!

Scumsucking traitors in order to gain votes from a defeat for all the USA. The party of yellow-dogs will lap their partisan balls in delight if they can force a loss for our country so they can win an election ...

It is a war on terrorism, Jimmy, and Saddam is just one part of it, as is Afghanistan.

How sad.

Maybe someday you will come into the reality based community.

So Tad,

Just what criteria do you use for a victory in Iraq?

If this "war" was so important why did Bush hand over the capture of Osama to Afghan warlords instead of letting the US Military (the greatest fighting organization in the world) finish the job properly?

Why hasn't Buscho pursued Osama into Pakistan?

Why has Bushco let Al Queda and the Taliban take up safe have in Pakistan?

Why is kissing Pakistans ass more important than winning the "war" on terrorism?

Why has Bushco let the Taliban regroup inside Afghanistan?

Why? Why? Why?

I love the rib at Liberals for not recognizing the truth. That is very funny. If you want to talk about a party that cant tell the truth from a lie you better take a long hard look in the far right mirror. When you have a spokesman like Rush then you really aren't too concerned with the truth. Rush likes too live in make believe world where no one has a better idea then him and questioning someone makes you un-American. This type of belief is what is helping to slowly destroying the Republican party. Rush called Murtha a fake solider. I guess he figures since he never served in the arm forces he is the best judge of what makes a phony.

Limbaugh calling any soldier or former soldier a phony is about as hypocritical as it gets.
Him and his anal cyst.

Randi Rhodes was talking about that yesterday, guess what, she had one too...but she enlisted in the Air Force anyway and served.

I think she is more of a patriot than drugged out Rush ever will be or ever was. And the righties still listen to every syllable by this jerk. Just goes to show that some folks will listen to what they want to hear no matter how lacking in truth it is.

Ho hum. There was a phony soldier. He'd been in the army for 44 days before he washed out at basic training.

He represented himself as heroic and a medal winner. All false claims.

And yes, he demonized the army, claiming those serving in Iraq had committed continuing atrocities.

These allegations were broadcast throughout the Arab world on al-jazeera as true.

The story had been muted in the press until the attack on Rush gove it wide dissemination.

Democrats are losers. Born to lose, they've lived their lives in vain. Holding office is their claim to fame. What does the Democrat controlled Congress have, an 11% approval rating. Yippee Pelosi. Yippee Reid.

"And the righties still listen to every syllable by this jerk."

Yet its people like you who keep making a big deal out of every word he says, people just hoping to be offended, all the while lifting his ratings.

If it weren't for the left, Rush would be out of a job.

They can pretend and Rush can edit the statement on his web site but unfortunately, just like many times in the past, the righties forget that others can record the statement and listen to what Rush really did say.
Seems sad that Imus lost his TV show and radio gig for a less hateful comment. But then I guess the people who listen to rush have a lower standard for their pundits.

Danni,

Is it possible he misspoke?

He did clarify what he meant, you know.

I liken this to Kerry's gaffe: "You'll end up getting [us] stuck in Iraq." - originally spoken without the "us".

I seem to recall you defending Kerry's comment based upon his clarification (as did I). Yet, you are unwilling to accept Rush's explanation based upon his clarification. Why is that?

I think she is more of a patriot than drugged out Rush ever will be or ever was. And the righties still listen to every syllable by this jerk. Just goes to show that some folks will listen to what they want to hear no matter how lacking in truth it is.

perhaps to deflect away from the dem prez front runners declaring no time table for troop withdrawals? why did they flip flop?

perhaps to deflect away from their vote for more funding for the illegal oil war? you know polls show overwhelming support to withdraw funding, so why dont they do it?

I heard the show and he never said any such thing and nothing's been edited.

How can you bring yourself to believe Rush could edit it and not get caught? You can't be serious. If you don't think the dems have someone recording his every word every day he's on you're just fooling yourself and you're even more gullible than I realized.

By the way. Why don't you libs contact Harry Reid and persuade him to take Limbaugh up on his offer? If Harry's words are true one would reason that Harry would be only to happy to take the pportunity to confront the person he accuses and expose him face to face.

Reid won't.... why? Because Harry's a LIAR and Limbaugh would utterly decimate Reid, and that's the last thing Harry can have happen.

Great post Incubus. Don't forget the Chris Wallace debacle proving Harry is fucking lying peice of shit.

Can you substantiate this?

He called Paul Hacket a "staff puke" that he was hiding behind his uniform, that he was "padding his resume" by going to Iraq.

Paul Hackett served in the 1st Marine Division in Ramadi and Fallujah during 2004 and 2005. When he returned home, Hackett was a vocal war critic and ended up running for Congress in a special election against Republican Jean Schmidt.

The Huffington Post obtained audio of Limbaugh smearing Hackett on his radio show in 2005. Limbaugh calls Hackett a "staff puke," claims he went to Iraq "to pad [his] resume," and attacks him as "a liberal hiding behind a military uniform." Listen:

Of course he can't, but the foul feathered fowl here will love him.

Anything to keep the ducks in a row.

It's hard to call someone(liberal, progressively/regressive) with no principles a hypocrite.

Of course he can't, but the foul feathered fowl here will love him.

Read the above. Eat the crow.

Limbaugh claimed that when he originally referred to "phony soldiers," he was referring to Jesse MacBeth, "a genuine phony soldier. And by the way, Jesse MacBeth's not the only one. How about this guy Scott Thomas [Beauchamp], who was writing fraudulent, phony things in The New Republic about atrocities he saw that never happened? How about Jack Murtha blanketly accepting the notion that Marines at Haditha engaged in wanton murder of innocent children and civilians?"

Jeff,

Rush has a history of calling soldiers who do not agree with his point of view phony. He has done it in the past.

Posted by 726 at 2007-10-02 03:00 PM |

What CROW? Am I missing something? In the post you provide as evidence he's pointing out he believes the guy has an agenda.

Keep trying.

"Eat the crow."

Now prove it....

If you don't support this war then keep your mouth SHUT. Simple as that.

Not a big fan of freedom of speech, are we?

Already did. Go back and read the posts.

This time..... s l o w l y.

726,

I hate to tell you this, but your mediamatter link is for shit.

They are purposefully trying to take Rush out of context - their bias and agenda are blatantly evident.

He called Kerry "Phoney, a fraud."

He didn't call him a phoney soldier, as if to suggest that Kerry didn't actually serve.

Context matters, as much as these fucking hacks and their willing dupes want to believe otherwise.

Already did. Go back and read the posts.

This time..... s l o w l y.

You win, I'm a weasel...

And all the ducks said.... quack quack!

JeffJ,

How about Paul Hackett?

Care to address that one?

726,

I am not familiar with Paul Hackett.

Can you help steer me?

Hackett is someone who was pimped by the far left as a poster boy serving the anti-war agenda. Much like Cindy Sheehag. He was showered as a hero and used his military credential to further the left's agenda. Rush was 100 percent correct calling him a phoney.

Jeff,

Google Limbaugh+Paul+Hackett.

There are plenty of links.

Good to see what Crispee thinks of a war veteran.

Bravo!

Do you not agree Kackett was exploited by the anti war left? Don't you find it ironic? How did they feel about him when he was in the theater of war?

Man, the fucking reichwingers sure do get their satin panties in a wad over someone insulting their Party Line Purveyor. What'sa matter, afraid you'll lose out on your talking points source?

Lou, I always liked Murtha and after reading your posts, I like him even more.

Thanks.

Wow, first InCon gets his ass handed to him (despite Jeffy's fruitless effort to save him), then gem:

1. "Rush was 100 percent correct calling him a phoney. Posted by crispee_oc at 2007-10-02 03:58 PM"

2. "Good to see what Crispee thinks of a war veteran. Bravo! Posted by 726 at 2007-10-02 04:05 PM"

and

You Bush apologists are definitely off your game. 726 just kicked both of your asses across this thread. Bravo!

You're a retard Monte. All you can do is keep cheering for "Your side" even when they can't back up what say...

Liars, the lot of you.

Just heard the audio again. Rush is lying. Not that that's unexpected.

Now word comes out he edited the version broadcast to Iraq. Sweet. Can't let the Soldier's hear what he actually said - even though according to some idiots on here he never said what he said.

He's not just a liar, he's a revisionist liar.

But that is not even the point here. Free speech is and if the F*** Bush article is free speech and protected as you lefties are saying here, then so is Rush for far less.

Rush is enjoying free speech and I say the more the better. Limbos got his ass in a wringer and its not going away. Tomorrow real vets are going on the air to call out this gutless draft dodging boil on my ass send your kids out to enrich my portfolio sack of crap. Bush has taken everybody down around him and Rush may be on the way out. Lets see the advertisers and what his supporters have to say in the coming days. There just might be blood in the water.
