The claim was that those things are very large and when lanced (or whatever you do to them) that you could fit golf balls in the wound). I watched that clip the other day. What stunned me was the way they STILL accepted the Bush war talking points -- "fight them over there so we don't fight them over here" and all their answers were in lock step with the sound bites they are force fed. I have honestly come to the conclusion that people on the more moderate-liberal side are far better read, much less easily swayed, more intelligent on many levels, and much more independent thinkers.

I'm not liberal by any stretch -- and there are plenty on the far left who spout talking points too -- but I like to think my mind certainly goes beyond swallowing whole force-fed GOP talking points and spouting them out over and over again even when proven wrong by many reliable sources.

Popular liberal argument, but it is a false one. No one was "stop lossed" back into service. Everyone who signs up does so for 8 years. Most do it as 4 years active duty and 4 years inactive reserves. There has never been anyone "stop lossed" after 8 years. Never has anyone been forced to serve more time than they signed up for. Even so, this has been very, very rare.

What we aren't shown here in the U.S. are some of the dreadful conditions that exist in Iraq, not only for our soldiers but also for the Iraq's themselves.

In Ramadi sewage runs in the streets, sometimes knee deep. There isn't enough to eat. Even our GI's there cannot be resupplied and have to depend on food sent from home.

1) Limbaugh was talking about a specific soldier that several "Mainstream" media outlets (CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CBS - and this web site) had put up a several months ago from an "Army Ranger" stating that he and fellow soldiers had killed and raped many Iraqi citizens.

Turns out that this guy was in the Army for 44 days, never a Ranger, No Purple Heart, no two tours of duty. He was a PHONY SOLDIER - Just like the WINTER SOLDIER convention (that Kerry and Jane Fonda were at in the "70's) where all these "Soldiers" stated all that they had seen us do in Vietnam...only to find out only 3 or 4 had actually been to Vietnam (like Kerry who lied under oath about what he saw...and the subsequent reason that his fellow swift boaters attacked him).

Watch the You Tube video and then make up your minds who is telling the truth - then ask yourself how much other stuff you have been dupped into believing.

I remember jotting the one ship's name down to look at the picture 'cause I like to look up the ships when different guys say they served on this or that one -- being a military history buff. This old post took awhile to find -- should have made you look it up youself.

No, got out after six years as STG2. Would've made first if I had reupped. I was in 1975-1981. Crewmember USS H E Holt ff 1074 out of Pearl and USS Elmer Montgomery ff 1082 out of Mayport. Went BE/E, A & C schools at FLTASWTRACENPAC in San Diego for 14 months. Excellent electronic school. I have no regrets getting my training from the Navy vs vocational school.

That's why i said in my post "I should have made you look it up yourself" -- 'cause it took so long to find your old post, not my uncle's ship - lol.

Funny, it seems there's a lot of people invested in companies that want the war to continue.

Greed crosses party lines, it just that the Republicans are more enthused about it.

And there are humanitarians on both sides, it's just that the Democrats are more sincere about it.

There's a lot of us in middle who really don't see a policy in place that would end the war, and having lived through Vietnam and all the turmoil of that fiasco, I for one would like this nonsense to end.

You certainly have little compassion for the men and women in our military if you think 100 dead and 600-800 seriously wounded are acceptable losses. Not to forget at least 15% of those deployed suffering acute symptoms of PTSD.

Bush ran out of reasons for being in Iraq--until he stated that if we don't control Iraq then the terrorists will. I doubt that, but I don't doubt that without those PSAs the oil companies will be forced to bid on developing the fields, and that will cut their profits.

Is that really worth hundreds of American lives, and thousands left less whole?

This small snipet was just a part of a long and drawn out discussion during the show. What is posted above is just what you want to hear, without listening to the entire discussion. Much like O'Reily got blasted for his Harlem comments, which was nothing at all once you hear the whole thing, but whacky leftist sites, such as this, just take a small few sentences, and try to destroy a person, who is using his right to free speech, just like you are defending these 'soldiers' for doing.

Its an example of our failed educational system and popular media that such ignorance goes unchallenged by those who should know better.

Jesse "The Liar" MacBeth told lies about being an Army Ranger, receiving a Purple Heart, and claiming to have witnessed attrocities against Iraqi civilians. Turns out that MacBeth never made it out of boot camp. He was a washout. He never served in Iraq, never was in combat, never was an Army Ranger and never received a Purple Heart. He was a true "fake soldier" but he libs don't apologize for failing to check the backgrounds of the phonies they use to lie to the media.

Imagine who al Qaeda must have used these statements in the Arab world. How many people killed Americans or joined terrorist groups to kill Iraqis because of these false lib reports. It's disgusting.

UTASTAFF, Rush could gut all of this critique by making a point to praise ANY veteran for his/her patriotism and courage that has served in Iraq or elsewhere who also happens not to support the war.

What is really funny is righties trying to make the case that anti-war statements made here somehow help Al Quaeda. That is the opposite of true. What helps Al Quaeda are statements demonizing all Muslims that Al Quaeda can use to recruit moderates with. What helps Al Quaeda is statements by presidents that we are on a "crusade" or by a former Fed. Reserve chairman who says the war is about oil. Angry accusations thrown at political leaders made by other poltical leaders known for their dishonesty helps Al Quaeda. War mongering against Iran definitely helps Al Quaeda; great idea, make Iranians more afraid of Americans than Sunni terrorists who they share with us as a common enemy.

..........I had one of those cysts in my early 20's. I was playing sem-pro soccer at the time, and it did not restrict physical exertion......it was sore constantly and painful to sit on......I went to my doctor....he said it was common in young adults....it grows right at the tip of the tailbone, just above the asshole........the surgery was a one day affair......they put me under for the surgery and discharged me from the hospital after I woke up......I was back to playing soccer in two days....I can't see why it would have kept someone out of the draft.......
