Why is toilet paper and soap so offensive to these people?

"if he is re-elected president "

The elections in Pakistan are almost as much of a joke as the elections in Iraq pre invasion.

What happens if he does not win? Another military coup to re-install him?

Shhhhh. They are our "friends" in the war on terrawr. Of course they are Bin Laden's landlord but lets just overlook that little incovenient fact.

He's a self imopesed dictator. Give me a break!

JimmyW, What do you mean Iraq? What about the US elections. They have been rigged since Bush II first election.

Imposed

Jeff,

No more rigged then here in the US and the masses still seem to believe that their vote still counts.

The vote will count here too. Mushi is popular enough that he can easily win without resorting to rigged elections.

Of course, sore losers (the right-wing islamic parties)will say he rigged the vote.. but that won't be true because there isn't any need for it.

Good for him. Nobody will admit openly, but his party struck a deal with Benazir Bhutto for her to return and become PM and that no charges or mischiefs will be entertained between the two.

Sharif alarmed the US by hinting Pakistan doesn't need outsiders. He is a radical Islamist and may make Pakistan more radical under him. So George Bush and Condi Rice kicked him back to Saudi Arabia.

To save face and friends (of Amreeka), Musharraf and Bhutto are the best deal Pakistan have for now.
More money from Bush. More leeway in pursuing terrorists.

Musharraf failed to deliver Osama's head on a platter, but he allowed some key terrorists to be neutralised or arrested for shipment to Gitmo.

Have you read Mushi's book? It explains a hell of a lot...

As for Sharif (a.k.a. Nawazoo) I bet you haven't come across this true story...

Many years ago, Nawazoo was short of money. He needed a huge amount of funds to run in the elections.

Where to get money from? Where???

Idea!

He went to Saudi where he cornered Osama bin Ladin in a hotel room.

Dude, I need money!

When translated into Arabic, O'Binbin basically said, I'm outta here...

Nawazoo's stooges locked the doors so O'Bibbin could not escape....

"GIVE ME MONEY! I HAVE GREAT NEED!!! unnn please?"

Because this was getting too embarrassing, O'Binbin coughed up a few million dollars (chump change for him).

And Nawazoo won the election.

This story is true and was reported in the Urdu press and in the weekly magazine "Friday Times".

This was obviously some years before 9-11.

Point is, look at who gave Nawazoo help in politics.
