Careful now! The last time he said that they DID bring it on. So far, 3700+ body bags returned from Iraq. And there's an estimated half that number of Al Qaeda/Iraq.

1 in 20 French people died in WW1, 1 in 6 people died or was wounded.

The equivalent for the US for died or wounded was 1 in 300.

When you are faced with numbers like that the crap about France's willingness to fight is shown as pure Garbage.

The US had no business entering WWI. Both sides were exhausted and would have evetually called "King's X" and gone home.

By tipping the balance, the US only set the stage for WWII in Europe.

You want to learn some truth about the military? Talk to any veteran involved in a NATO exercise in the last 30 years.

In every simulation, based on troop strength, equipment and reliability, the Frogs always fold in the first few hours.

The DeGualle is the first ship to sink. No great loss because it's the only frog aircraft carrier but, thanks to the people who gave us the Concorde, the flight deck is too short. No Frog planes can take off or land on it.

To sum up, all NATO plans are based on fighting while the French are in surrender mode.

France had a self interest in seeing England weekened. As a history buff, you should realize that they had been at war on and off for hundreds of years. And France's ambitions in the Americas could only be helped by getting England the hell out. And, oh yeah, we not only thanked them but paid them back as well. You know, the whole liberating them and then protecting them from Soviet domination for the next 50 years.
