Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton was endorsed by Wesley Clark, the retired four-star general whose early criticism of the Iraq war fueled a high-profile but short-lived run for the party's nomination in 2004.

Wesley Clark .... hoping for a choice appointment if Billary wins.

Magic Johnson .... don't think Obama is Black enough.

Oprah .... desperate to put color purple (code for Obama) in the White House.

Again, consider the plea of Mrs Edwards .... her husband is disadvantaged because he is not Black and not Female.

Choose you this day whom should you field for President, O Democrats and Liberals.

Takitez-
I suppose the serial adulterer who put the command center in a terrorist target (Giuliani) and the actor/lobbyist who married a woman younger than his daughter (Thompson) aren't really ringin' your conservative family values terrorist fightin' warrior bell?

Relax hate-mongers, I'm sure Clark only endorsed her on general principle....

USN, I can see that Clark's ambition is invisible to you.

...in....general...principle..
.. Sigh.

Like the Iraq war planners and the White House:

Perles before swine....

I guess no one ever gets divorced or no one ever marries a younger woman. I don't know that either one of them got a BJ in their public office (Clinton), screwed under age pages (Studs), or ran a gay cat house in their basement (Frank). What is your point coo?

Wesley Clark? Golly! Nothing quite like the name of an empty suit to give you serious creds on the campaign trail.

Clark wasn't a general. He was a Pentagon dandy who knew how to play Congress (takes an act of Congress to give out them stars).

Where'd Petraeus' stars come from then? Talk about a ridiculous statement!

"General Wesley Kanne Clark (born December 23, 1944) is a retired four-star general of the United States Army. Clark was valedictorian of his class at West Point, was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to the University of Oxford where he obtained a degree in PPE, and later graduated from the Command and General Staff College with a master's degree in military science. He spent 34 years in the Army and the Department of Defense, receiving many military decorations, several honorary knighthoods, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Clark commanded Operation Allied Force in the Kosovo War during his term as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO from 1997 to 2000...."

en.wikipedia.org

Supreme Allied Commander - same post Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower held. Guess he was a Pentagon 'lacky' too, eh?

AU: Didn't Clark win that war with like TWO KIA?
No wonder the right hates him. They only embrace defeaties- Nixon in VN, Reagan in Lebanon and BushII everywhere. The Party of Lincoln hasn't won a war since, well Lincoln...

AU: Didn't Clark win that war with like TWO KIA?

Uh huh. :-) And the region is in peace and prospering once again.

Yes, AU, he has a very pretty resume. He clearly worked very hard racking up the honors. Mostly by sucking up for the next promotion.

North:

The Kosovo War? You mean when Clinton bombed bridges and power plants in Serbia, from 40,000 feet in the air? (you love scolding Bush for the collateral damage in Iraq. In the Balkans the civilian infrastructure was the TARGET of Clinton/ Clark).

The Kosvo War is not over yet. Clinton just abandoned it to the UN, which still has peacekeepers there.

Thanks to Clark's bold leadership (from a cushy office in Brussells) many thousands of people are dead in the Balkans, and millions more are refugees. (Kinda like the way you love to scold Bush for Iraqis who fled to Jordan and Syria).

VERNON

Are you calling President/General Eisenhower, who held the same post as Supreme Allied Commander a suckup?

OK. All four star generals are suckups who didn't do a damned thing to earn their positions. Whatever you say Vernon. You seem to be our military expert around here. You rose to the rank of....?

"Whatever you say Vernon. You seem to be our military expert around here. You rose to the rank of....?" incompetent calculator repairman.

SO...vernon doesn't like petreaus?

I guess, based on what Vernon's said - that damn Moveon ad was right on the money. Wow.

The Kosvo War is not over yet. Clinton just abandoned it to the UN, which still has peacekeepers there. VERNON

Is that a fact? We have 2000 troops there in non combat positions. The effort was a joint NATO/UN mission - unlike Iraq we're fighting and paying for all by ourselves while things are worse for Iraqis than under Saddam - 80% unemployment, 70% without electricity, 4 million refugees.

Thanks to Clark's bold leadership (from a cushy office in Brussells) many thousands of people are dead in the Balkans, and millions more are refugees. (Kinda like the way you love to scold Bush for Iraqis who fled to Jordan and Syria).

Unlike Iraq the death toll went dramatically down and genocied was stopped. What millions of refugees since we stopped the genocide? LINK? (I won't hold my breath)

"He clearly worked very hard racking up the honors. Mostly by sucking up for the next promotion."

Unlike General David "See My New Star" Petraeus and who knows how many other military careerists?

In sharp contrast to the lionisation of Gen. David Petraeus by members of the U.S. Congress during his testimony this week, Petraeus's superior, Admiral William Fallon, chief of the Central Command (CENTCOM), derided Petraeus as a sycophant during their first meeting in Baghdad last March, according to Pentagon sources familiar with reports of the meeting.

Fallon told Petraeus that he considered him to be "an ass-kissing little chickenshit" and added, "I hate people like that", the sources say. That remark reportedly came after Petraeus began the meeting by making remarks that Fallon interpreted as trying to ingratiate himself with a superior.

Please, Vermin, could you try lowering your I'm-Nothing-But-A-Partisan-

Thanks

I think this post is the context in which to view all subsequent vern drivel.

Vernon: We have troops in Japan Germany and the Philipines-guess we lost those wars too.

Oh yeah, we still have troops in the South-Lincoln was such a loser.

Does it hurt to be that stupid Vernon, are are you just numb to it now?

General Petraeus is a sacred cow to the rightists but General Clark is somehow bad?

FLIP FLOP!

FLIP FLOP!

Is this the same Clark who went to be a lwayer for Saddam? And now he's supporting Clinton...?

Gee, what a suprise.

Ramsley Clark I believe You are thinking about.

Larry

Larry: Don't ever mistake the drivel that pours out of Formerlib's keyboard for "thinking".

Predictable, bur I still love it!

MSGT

Not holding you to it 'cause you can change your mind, but of the candidates up for President so far -- which one do you like the best?

What fighting experience does he have?

Sorry, I forgot that if you're currently on active duty you probably can't answer that question.
I would pick John Edwards if I decided to go Democrat and I like Kucinich as the most honest guy but he doesn't have a chance of winning.
If I went with a Republican I would probably pick either Congressman Duncan Hunter (CA) or Congressman Ron Paul (TX) except Ron Paul's stance on abolishing the Internal Revenue Code makes me hesitant about voting for him.

Kucinich first. Howard Dean, Russ Feingold, Al Gore and General Clark next, should they opt to run. Then Edwards, Obama, Richardson and finally our next president, Hillary Clinton. Did I snub anyone? But then you didn't ask me, did you? herm

Vernon. You seem to be our military expert around here. You rose to the rank of...

.......moron 1st class!!
