I've never seen anyone in the US wearing one but when I worked in Newark, some of my coworkers who lived there talked about converts who covered their whole faces. The locals called them "ninjas".

I see alot of women covering their hair though. With a few exceptions, the are usually extremely unattractive and don't really need to do anything special to discourage men from leering at them. Most the attractive Arab women I've seen around here seem to enjoy the attention like most other pretty women.
