Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Wednesday, September 12, 2007

On Aug. 19, seven active duty soldiers of the 82nd Airborne Division wrote an op-ed in the New York Times called "The War As We Saw It," expressing skepticism about "recent press coverage portraying the conflict as increasingly manageable" On Monday, two of the soldiers -- Sgt. Omar Mora and Sgt. Yance Gray -- died in a vehicle accident in Western Baghdad.

RIP Omar and Yance. You were courageous on many levels.

RIP

Quite the dangerous occupation, writing an OP-Ed disagreeing with Dear Leader.

2 15 month tours and this is how it ends.

Oh my God how horrible

RIP

Progress is being made in Iraq and these 5 limp wristed libs probably aren't even in Iraq but they're in the States digging holes for real soldiers to shit in.

-Wobbie the Poop Shoot

Support the troops. Bring them home....alive.

I don't know if bringing them home is the answer, but the way things are currently being run certainly isn't the way to go either. Look what happened when we left Vietnam, it was terrible.

I'd hate to think that the Pentagon is so vicious that it sends dissenters to the "Eastern Front."

But I wouldn't be surprised, either. herm

The conservatives must be pissed that these soldiers were killed before they had a chance to swiftboat them.

RASTACY that is absolutly sick...

Only a Lib would say something as disgusting as that...

Almost certainly the Decider and Chief had these guys killed.

Why have we not impeached this traitor yet?

Upon taking control, the Vietnamese communists banned all other political parties, arrested public servants and military personnel of the Republic of Vietnam and sent them to reeducation camps. The government also embarked on a mass campaign of collectivization of farms and factories. Reconstruction of the war-ravaged country was slow and serious humanitarian and economic problems confronted the communist regime. Millions of people fled the country in crudely-built boats, creating an international humanitarian crisis[2][3]. In 1978, the Vietnamese Army invaded Cambodia (sparking the Cambodian-Vietnamese War) to remove the Khmer Rouge from power. This action worsened relations with China, which launched a brief incursion into northern Vietnam (the Sino-Vietnamese War) in 1979. This conflict caused Vietnam to rely even more heavily on Soviet economic and military aid.

It was bad, but it wasn't that bad. Thanks go to the Vietnamese army for throwing out the U.S. backed Khmer Rouge.

The CIA left a list of 30,000 names of Vietnamese that had helped us. They forgot to destroy the list with other papers before the evacuation.

Oops.

hmmmm a vehicle accident huh? We shall see.

A well-timed, strategically placed IED in the road - friendly fire style?

...was supposed to be coming home in November.

And now he's coming home even earlier.
Guess that means the surge is working.

RIP Omar and Yance. You were courageous on many levels.

Agreed, SAR.

RIP to Omar and Yance.

Good luck to the other 5 guys who wrote the op-ed and are still currently alive, especially to J. Murphy. So... Yance and Omar were in Western Baghdad when they got into this motor vehicle accident? Does Laura Bush have an alibi fer that day?

Spud kids. Spud's a kidder.

Interesting tidbit from BBob...

They forgot to destroy the list with other papers before the evacuation.

Oops.

Oops, indeed.

Will the exit from Baghdad look like Saigon in '75?

Helicopters on the rooftops and collaboraters clammoring to get out of the place and not be left to suffer harsh reprisals?

How many folks in the green zone hafta come back with the troops?

So far nobody's talking numbers on the subject well ...when they bother to talk about it at all.

Thanks go to the Vietnamese army for throwing out the U.S. backed Khmer Rouge.

Spuddish thanx go to Roy Batty fer pointing out to BJ72 that the Vietnam analogies really do not help out those with a pro-war agenda.

Be Well.

LastAssmerican - and a big FUCK YOU to you too. Oh yeah, and have a nice day moron.

Spud - you kid, you kid? You aren't the only one:

"Hilary Duff is not quite old enough so

Eminem - Ass Like That (excerpt)

Oh geez Horace aka LastAmerican the cretin who declared that His son was in Iraq then not 2 weeks later declared that His Son was going to be going to Iraq is STILL claiming to have a Son in the Military bwhahahahahah how fucking shitty is THAT. I swear some people.

Larry

Excuse me but there were over 2 million people slaughtered in Vietnam after the Dems stopped the funding and the helicopters were on the roofs.

"It wasn't that bad" ???

Are you joking, Roy? What would you consider "bad"?

Murphy

"Excuse me but there were over 2 million people slaughtered in Vietnam after the Dems stopped the funding and the helicopters were on the roofs."

Link?

I was in the Marines.

I don't hate Danni I appreciate the concern.

WE don't belong in Iraq. The best way to support the troops is to bring them home.

Fund the withdrawal now.

Look what happened when we left Vietnam, it was terrible.

I think, personally that is, it is time we take that slap in the face and the insult to our national dignity. It's been all-to-apparent since "mission accomplished" that the folks in charge didn't really plan anything past "shock and awe".

There is no amount of money or troops that we can throw at thie problem now that will fix it. So what you end up with is a president who is more concerned about his own image than with the lives of innocent Iraqis and young American men and women.

Only a Lib would say something as disgusting as that...

I've seen so-called conservatives say some pretty sick things. What Rastacy said only points to a real issue in this country. Dissent to folks akin to yourself is seen as not supporting troops. Disagreeing with the president's poorly thought out and poorly executed policy concering our "war on terrorism" and the war in Iraq is called unpatriotic or, in some cases, treason.

Get down off the cross. We need the wood to nail the next one up.

While I have a great deal of respect for the troops on the ground having them writing an op ed as to the "conditions" in Iraq as a whole serves merely a partisan point, the guys on the ground know what is going on in their street corner where perhaps they are being shot at and IEDs are common, they have no comprehension of the whole picture. It's a bit like me writing an op ed on the state of the US based upon my little town "the majority of people are forced to shave their heads and spend inordinate amounts of time away from their families" that would mean nothing to someone in Iowa.

With that said, my heart goes out to the families of the fallen, they have made the greatest of sacrifices, they have laid down their lives to save others.

Yes, these soldiers are dead. And the young "intellectuals" that excoriated them for not supporting the war are fat and happy, explaining why they themselves should not volunteer for battle, prepping themselves for the political careers they've always dreamed of.

Almost certainly the Decider and Chief had these guys killed.

Any facts to support this? Or is it just another loony conspiracy you spun in your head?

"Look what happened when we left Vietnam, it was terrible.

Posted by bigjohn_1972"

Exactly the same thing that would have happened in 1967 if we'd left then - with 30,000 less dead Americans

"Excuse me but there were over 2 million people slaughtered in Vietnam after the Dems stopped the funding and the helicopters were on the roofs."

Link?

Probably with the rest of the other conspiracy theories

"They have no comprehension of the whole picture...."

Perhaps not. But neither does Bush. And Bush never had (or wnated) his ass in the grass.

So, between the dead and wounded soldiers and our very un-serious president, whose opinion am I going to take?

So, between the dead and wounded soldiers and our very un-serious president, whose opinion am I going to take?

Like everyone else, it'll be the opinion that fits your preconceived notions.

Goatman

Wanted to wish you a happy time off.

It was a pleasure getting to know you a little.

AmericanUnity

Support the troops, shut the fck up! It's really none of your damn business. We see through your fake concern.

Shutting the fuck up isn't patriotism.

It's cowardice.

Learn that at least, would ya?

Danni's concern is real it's yer basic understanding of the war that's fake.

Be Well.

PS: To Monte...

I am not Triumph, I am Arnold, get down..."

Spud poops all over yer Triumph references

Eye keed! Eye keed!

Spud really admires Eminem's restraint there.

Rhyming "Hillary Duff" with "Not old enuff" was good and a given.

But then to then go on and willfully ignore the fact that that also rhymes with "Mangy Muff" or "Fun to Stuff" was an act of true maturity on his part.

PPS: To Goat,

Almost certainly the Decider and Chief had these guys killed.

Any facts to support this?

Other than the suspicions caused by the murder of Pat Tillman?

Not too much but conjecture at this point.

Would you put that sorta thing past them two, Goat?

Spud wouldn't.

I would declare that ANYONE that refuses to dissent their Government in times of great crisis have shat upon every Founding Father and those that have fought and died to preserve and to protect that Right. To not dissent when You feel Your Country is being led astray do great damage to one's own Country.

America IS dissent
America was founded upon the very ideal of dissent.
Without dissent You would NOT have AMerica.

Larry

Other than the suspicions caused by the murder of Pat Tillman?

Not too much but conjecture at this point.

non sequitor. Facts? Suspicion and conjecture are not facts.

Would you put that sorta thing past them two, Goat?

Yes, I would. Occam's razor. I can just see George Bush at his morning briefing looking at his papers. "Here's a couple of guys who wrote an op-ed criticing the war. Make them get in a car accident, please."

"But sir, the damage has been done -- the article has been printed"

"I don't care. They need to be punished."

Right.

I also find it interesting that the article does not detail the accident. Could it be that the details could include facts that would make it impossible to spin into a conspiracy theory? I'd like all the facts before I do something so outrageous as blame the president for their deaths.

Conspiracies are so amusing.

Given the intelligent observations these brave soldiers made about our war effort, despite the possibility of facing a backlash from their superiors, the death of these two soldiers is particularly ironic and tragic.

"But sir, the damage has been done -- the article has been printed"

"I don't care. They need to be punished."

Right.

Valerie Plame's husband, Wilson, comes to mind as one who displeased the Bush cartel and Wilson was punished (by attacking his wife) when his article disputing Bush's untruthful claim of Iraq having yellow cake uranium in Africa had been printed.

Bush is the master of punishment and paybacks.

Their commander's reply after reading the piece was "You take Point"

Bush is the master of punishment and paybacks.

Hmm. I've got to figure this one out. He is the master of punishment and paybacks. Takes quite a brain to conspire like that. But the libs paint him as an imbecile.

"It's a car wax"
"No, it's a dessert topping"
"car wax"
"dessert topping"

Old SNL skit with John Belushi and Dan Akroyd

AND he wants to "pay back" a couple of privates who've done what a lot of others have done, but lived.

As I said, I love conspiracies. This is why -- the incongruities are so absurd as to be funny.

Excuse me but there were over 2 million people slaughtered in Vietnam after the Dems stopped the funding and the helicopters were on the roofs.

I beleive he's thinking about the Cambodians killed by the Khmer Rouge after the war. It was the subject of a move called The Killing Fields with Sam Waterson.

He is the master of punishment and paybacks. Takes quite a brain to conspire like that. But the libs paint him as an imbecile....

Let me add a couple of helpful words so even a Goat can understand how it is accomplished.

[Bush] is the master of punishment and paybacks....

Bush desires and orders the punishment and payback but leaves it to others far smarter than he as to how to implement them as to method, time and place.

AND he wants to "pay back" a couple of privates who've done what a lot of others have done, but lived.

As I said, I love conspiracies. This is why -- the incongruities are so absurd as to be funny.

A lot of others? Maybe, but they weren't in the military. Haven't read too many NYT op/eds of soldiers actually going on record to complain about Iraq in print.

"Excuse me but there were over 2 million people slaughtered in Vietnam after the Dems stopped the funding and the helicopters were on the roofs."

Translation: "I wish there were 400-500,000 dead Americans instead of just the 58,000 who were killed in Vietnam.

"In fact, I wish they were still being killed there."

Signed,

Reichwingnuts who cannot and will not learn from history

Haven't read too many NYT op/eds of soldiers actually going on record to complain about Iraq in print.

Not NYT, but there have been others. What about the guy who made the movie about the 9/11 conspiracy. He was a thread here a couple of months ago. Remember the guy who was AWOL? He also spoke out against the war while he was still active duty. There have been others in the miliitary as well. I wonder why Bush didn't have them iced?

I wonder why Cindy Sheehan hasn't had a car accident? She has a much larger mouthpiece than a couple of buck privates. What about Martin Sheen or Sean Penn? If Bush can arrange accidental deaths, surely he could arrange these guys to OD and no one would ask questions. Why did Bush single out a couple of privates in the Army? Doesn't matter -- conspiracies don't have to make sense. That's the beauty of them!

I wonder why Cindy Sheehan hasn't had a car accident? She has a much larger mouthpiece than a couple of buck privates.

Not to agree with some moon bat idea that the president had two guys killed because they wrote and op-ed peice.

But..

She's marginalized herself. She's a wingnut and even the far left of congress know it.

"Your sincerity is false and we in the military or with family in the military hate you!"

Given that both groups you mention have expressed a wide array of opinions on the war and that you are a braying jackass, I somehow doubt you were elected spokesperson for all these people.

"Support the troops, shut the fck up! It's really none of your damn business."

Considering that all Americans are going to be paying off the debt from this war for years and years to come, I'd say its all of our business. It is also our business when a bunch of complete imbeciles totally undermine our military unnecessarily both by wasting lives and equipment and by implementing policies that make it very unappealing for new recruits to sign up. We all have a stake in maintaining a strong military. And on a human level, the throwing away of the lives of people who have sworn to protect us is a tragedy. Fuckers who conceived this war didn't even have a complete plan before sending those guys in. They couldn't have been more careless with the lives of our military personnel.

So when you and the rest of the delusional jackasses who still think this war is a great idea fight it on your own without using the American public's resources, you can say its not the average citizen's business. Until then, you should keep your anti-American nonsense to yourself, numbnuts.

Why did Bush single out a couple of privates in the Army?

Afraid you don't read to well.

Sgt. Omar Mora and Sgt. Yance Gray sounds like privates to me.

3 of the 7 dead in two weeks after the article while they lasted more than 2 years prior.

Nothing to question here.

OK, Sgts. Still pretty low on the food chain for the president of the USA to worry about.

3 of the 7 dead in two weeks after the article while they lasted more than 2 years prior.

Nothing to question here.

I see. After writing an op-ed critical of the war, people suddenly become immune to accidental death. Therefore if they die within two weeks after writing an op-ed it can't be an accident since they are immune to them.

Got it.

I think I'll write some op-eds critical of the war so the I become immune to accidents, too. Gee, if I write enough, I'll become immortal as long as the long arm of President bush doesn't find me, right?

I absolutely love conspiracist reasoning.

Yeah Goat,

nothing questionable at all, nothing at all.

Just accidental and that is why this became an article.

MW -- you have to admit the notion that one becomes immune to accidental death for at least two weeks after writing a critical op-ed is amusing, can't you?

"OK, Sgts. Still pretty low on the food chain for the president of the USA to worry about."

Larry

Thanks for reminding me who this deficient fool is.

I'll bet a lot of the people who died in Iraq were alive at leat two years before they died, too.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I bet they were all Officers who wrote op-ed questioning Bush too!

Isn't it interesting that this weekend the neocon-empirialist were mad at CC for posting the deaths of the soldiers in the crash. Funny now that it was a car accident.

I thought the vehicles were not suppose to roll, and have protective gear. You mean the soldiers don't have right of way when traveling around baghdad.

Wonder if they are going to do an autopsy on the one who was shot in the head.

The authors -- SPC Buddhika Jayamaha, SGT Wesley D. Smith, SGT Jeremy Roebuck, SGT Omar Mora, SGT Edward Sandmeier, SSG Yance T. Gray and SSG Jeremy A. Murphy -- are all infantrymen in the 82nd Airborne, at the end of a 15 month deployment in Iraq :

Counterinsurgency is, by definition, a competition between insurgents and counterinsurgents for the control and support of a population. To believe that Americans, with an occupying force that long ago outlived its reluctant welcome, can win over a recalcitrant local population and win this counterinsurgency is far-fetched... we are skeptical of recent press coverage portraying the conflict as increasingly manageable and feel it has neglected the mounting civil, political and social unrest we see every day.

The claim that we are increasingly in control of the battlefields in Iraq is an assessment arrived at through a flawed, American-centered framework. Yes, we are militarily superior, but our successes are offset by failures elsewhere. What soldiers call the "battle space" remains the same, with changes only at the margins. It is crowded with actors who do not fit neatly into boxes: Sunni extremists, Al Qaeda terrorists, Shiite militiamen, criminals and armed tribes. This situation is made more complex by the questionable loyalties and Janus-faced role of the Iraqi police and Iraqi Army, which have been trained and armed at United States taxpayers' expense...

Political reconciliation in Iraq will occur, but not at our insistence or in ways that meet our benchmarks. It will happen on Iraqi terms when the reality on the battlefield is congruent with that in the political sphere. There will be no magnanimous solutions that please every party the way we expect, and there will be winners and losers. The choice we have left is to decide which side we will take. Trying to please every party in the conflict -- as we do now -- will only ensure we are hated by all in the long run...

[O]ur presence... released Iraqis from the grip of a tyrant, but... it has also robbed them of their self-respect. They will soon realize that the best way to regain dignity is to call us what we are -- an army of occupation -- and force our withdrawal.

Until that happens, it would be prudent for us to increasingly let Iraqis take center stage in all matters, to come up with a nuanced policy in which we assist them from the margins but let them resolve their differences as they see fit. This suggestion is not meant to be defeatist, but rather to highlight our pursuit of incompatible policies to absurd ends without recognizing the incongruities.

We need not talk about our morale. As committed soldiers, we will see this mission through.

...you have to admit the notion that one becomes immune to accidental death for at least two weeks after writing a critical op-ed is amusing, can't you?

OK ...but only if you admit that Pat Tillman's death looked like murder too and that these cases are also suspicious.

No? Guess we don't have a deal then.

Be Well.

Wonder if they are going to do an autopsy on the one who was shot in the head.

Probably. I'll bet they'll find he died of being shot in the head.

I'm confused. Was it a car accident or did he get shot in the head?

OK ...but only if you admit that Pat Tillman's death looked like murder too and that these cases are also suspicious.

What was Tillman supposedly murdered for? Did he do an op-ed to? I thought he was all for the war.

Probably. I'll bet they'll find he died of being shot in the head.

A real thinker!!!!!!

I see you read the article too!

Wonder if they are going to do an autopsy on the one who was shot in the head.

Probably. I'll bet they'll find he died of being shot in the head.

Meets my dry humor test. ff for that one.

(So my comments won't be misused: These guys seem to have died in an accident, and Tillman was probably shot in the head by accident.)

But Tillman was against the war in Iraq. He signed up to go to Afghanistan and after the killers of 9/11.

Tillman's family does seem to think there was foul play.

Tillman was a hero, but the Right doesn't seem to want much to do with him anymore. I guess he served his purpose for them, even a few months after his death.

Message from Bush to military rank and file:
Give any negative comments about my war in Iraq to the media and they will be your last.

Not hard to see the message being sent from this White House to the rest of our troops, is it.

The two soldiers that died in a wreck fell off an elevated highway into a ravine. OK, conspiracy people, how did Bush pull this off? Did he hypnotize them and say, "Afghanistan Banana stand" into their radio causing them to veer off the road?

Also, the guy that was shot was shot while writing the op-ed i.e. before it was published. Let's see how we can spin the conspiracy to get this fact into it. I know! Bush traveled into the future and saw the article. Knowing it was going to be published, he traveled back into time and arranged to have Sgt Murphy shot.

This New York Times Op-Ed was published on August 19, 2007 and written by seven current duty soldiers serving in Iraq. I'm not sure if many people saw this Op-Ed, but I did. At the time it was being written, one of the soldiers, Staff Sgt. Jeremy Murphy, was shot in the head but recovered. Today, it was reported that two of the sergeants, Sgt. Omar Mora and Sgt. Yance T. Gray, were killed as the truck they were riding in fell off of an elevated highway in Western Baghdad into a 30-foot ravine.

attheendoftheboom.blogspot.com

Don't ya just hate it when facts get in the way of your conspiracies? Remember when I asked in a post above I wondered why the details of the wreck weren't reported? I surmised that if all the facts were known, it would be harder to spin into a conspiracy. A little digging proved this to be true.

Also, the guy that was shot was shot while writing the op-ed i.e. before it was published. Let's see how we can spin the conspiracy to get this fact into it....

Operative words: "before it was published"

Just because it had not yet been published doesn't mean that no one knew it was in the process of being written. You think with all the NYT connections to the WH that word that this article was in the works would not have been known by a broad spectrum of Bush's people????

Well, that rebuttal of Goatman's was shot full of holes. Now to work on the truck going into the ravine.

Goatman-
Your take on the conspiracy theories of Moneywar, CC, etc. are within the green, but you don't seem to have an answer to why Tillman was a poster boy for patriotism and is now persona non grata.

sorry, corpus non grata.

why Tillman was a poster boy for patriotism and is now persona non grata.

First of all, I was never asked. Maybe that's why I don't have an answer. duh.

If I was asked, I'd say he was fragged.

Goatman

Been looking for you. Did I finally succeed in chasing you down?

Waiting for reply......

If I was asked, I'd say he was fragged.

Why?

Well, that rebuttal of Goatman's was shot full of holes

It was?

Operative words: "before it was published"

You didn't read the quote from the story. You are quoting me. He was shot while it was being written.

But you accept the Afghanistan Banana stand hypno theory, right?

It's impossible to debate a conspiracy because the person who doesn't believe it can provide facts (as I did) and the conspiracist provides only speculation with nothing to back it up (as you did) and insist he is right.

So there's really no need to go further with this unless you can provide facts to prove the NYT connections to the WH that word that this article was in the works would not have been known by a broad spectrum of Bush's people????

If you can't, I'll stick with the known facts, thank you. Speculation doesn't do much for me.

Goatman

You've been moving around more than Osama Bin Laden on Drudge today LOL

Just wanted to wish you a stunningly good vacation and say it was a real pleasure chatting with you the other night and getting to know you a tad....

Thank you very much, AU. The pleasure's all mine. I just hope I get off this pig today. I might be extended one day if all the reliefs don't get to Houston by tomorrow morning.

Goat is ask...

What was Tillman supposedly murdered for? Did he do an op-ed too? I thought he was all for the war.

He was... at first.

Pat Tillman was the WH's poster boy fer recruitment fer Dumbya's War. So perfect was Pat fer this purpose that if he hadn't existed they prolly woulda made him up.

Pat Tillman kept a personal diary detailing his thoughts and experiences in the war.

Pat Tillman grew rapidly disillusioned with the War in Iraq and was against it by the time he died.

He was killed at close range by someone who knew wot they were doing, leaving a tight concentration of bullet holes in his skull.

All the evidence of the crime was disposed off and the diary is gone too.

You can cry conspiracy theorist all night long and it still won't change Spud's mind over the suspicious nature of Pat Tillman's death.

Spud doesn't know fer certain, of course.

Neither does Goatman.

Be Well.

Why?

Just a gut feeling I have. No facts to back it up.

Goatman

OK I give. Just wanted to catch you before you left the rig to say the above.

If you're not speaking to me please advise with a STFU LOL

Tillman's mother is on record saying she felt that there was some jealousy among his fellow troops members because of all the media attention paid to her son. Maybe the jealousy, combined with possible personality clashes with one or more of Tillman's troop members (along with the stress in a war zone) combined together and ended up with Tillman getting 3 shots to the head.
Who can ever say and I doubt we'll ever know.

Goatman

By the way, I went to Google Earth today to look for that motel in Ensenada I told you I stayed in a few years ago. It's gone, but doing a Google search with 'ensenada motels' many new ones came up with a wide price range if you do decide to go,,,,,

A little digging proved this to be true.

Shot in the head and recovered???? Is he alive today? Suppose you purposely left that out of the equation!

I have never said it is a conspiracy, I said it is questionable having 3 die so soon after the article.

But you go ahead and plant all the misleading theories out there, I like it.

We're Xing in cyberspace, AU

Goat

What does "fragged" mean?

Spud doesn't know fer certain, of course.

Neither does Goatman

No I don't. Nor have I ever claimed to. I haven't even speculated on Tilman's death until I was asked by Cooper a few minutes ago.

No issue here.

ZOOOOOOOOOM lol

I think Lee Harvey Oswald is behind a lot of these events. They had a double get 'shot' in Dallas so he could be used as a secret assassin for whatever dirty deeds the government wants done.

What does "fragged" mean?

To wound or kill (a fellow soldier) by throwing a grenade or similar explosive at the victim

I've heard it used as being maliciously shot by a fellow soldier

"I said it is questionable having 3 die so soon after the article."

At the least a very sad event

Hmm. I guess that makes you yet another loon. Oh well, I need to go to bed anyway.

Because I answered your question truthfully?

Don't worry, I'll never do it again, so don't bother to ask me any, cooper.

You didn't read the quote from the story. You are quoting me. He was shot while it was being written.

Yeah, so? That is exactly what I refuted in my intial post. You seemed to be saying that the soldier could not have been killed in any sort of retribution for the article because he was still in the process of writing it and it had not yet been published and/or made public? Did I take get your theory wrong?

I then refuted that argument by saying that:

Just because it had not yet been published doesn't mean that no one knew it was in the process of being written. You think with all the NYT connections to the WH that word that this article was in the works would not have been known by a broad spectrum of Bush's people????

I don't quite get why you think I didn't get it.

He was shot while it was being written.

And he died when???? After it was publish.

Supposedly you said he recovered. No holes none at all.

"What does "fragged" mean?"

To wound or kill (a fellow soldier) by throwing a grenade or similar explosive at the victim.

So you mean intentionally wounded or killed, right? Okay, thanks.

Goatman

They've also got a new 4 lane highway along the coast headed towards Ensenada. Lots of growth in Ensenada the last few years it seems from looking at GoogleEarth.com

If you've never been there, it's really cool Type in the location, city, address, etc and you get a map. You can zoom out to 100 miles above or 100 feet. Pretty neat in being able to scope out the general picture of any place you're going. I have my house bookmarked in there...Pretty neat

Going to jump in the shower.
If you're not around later, Goatman, have a great few weeks off. Hope you get off on your trip tomorrow with no further delays. Have a safe trip too -- don't want to lose a fun retorter around here. *grin*

Goatman

You're busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest so I'll just say goodnight and good trip. Hope you get off the rig tomorrow.

Adios amigo if we don't get a chance to chat before you go.

So you mean intentionally wounded or killed, right? Okay, thanks.

yes

PS Goatman

When you have time I have a few posts above aimed your way.....

And he died when???? After it was publish.

The shot guy didn't die. The two in the car crash did.

The shot guy didn't die. The two in the car crash did.

Better do more research.

Moneywar

Did the shot guy die too? When? I couldn't find anything on it but only did a fast google on his name just now.

I wonder at the emphasis from Leftist/Democratics on this issue.

To you, these men are heroes for speaking out of turn and conducting ancedotal propaganda which actively agrees with the enemy they are fighting right now!?! They, the subversive 7, give the appearance that they are thinking of their own security -- that they are cowardly and want to leave for their safety, and while their braver peers remain silent, as they are required to do for discipline, moral and secuity.

One of the father's speaks out and holds this appearance of refusal to abide by orders, their disrespect for their fellow soldiers and chain of command, aiding and abetting our enemy who says the same thing as these soldiers and whose goals are the same for Iraq, and considers this a show of "patriotism"!!!

It is no such thing! It is defeatism, a plea for retreat, a desire to abandon millions of Iraqis to the rule of TERRORISM and who will be VICTORS OVER THE CRAVEN COWARDS OF SATAN'S DOMINION ...

... and which is the United States of American and its huge prick stuck in the land of Islam; vicinity Israel and which must be CUT-OFF so that evil dies and ALLAH WINS Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!

With your help Leftist/Democratics, school children will soon be forced to say the takbir in their classes, and daily prayers ...

That's what Leftist/Democratics consider "diplomatic", aiding radical Islam in their fascist hegemony of the world, while they revile and dehumanize Christians for votes ...

What a bunch of traitorous scum they are ... the gangsters!

Goof evening, Tadowe.

I will carefully carve out of your ramblings above the small section upon which I might have some meeting of the mind with you.

...and while their braver peers remain silent, as they are required to do for discipline, moral and secuity....

okay, later.

sorry, wrote "goof evening" by mistake, I swear it wasn't done on purpose and of course, should have been "good evening"

Maybe it was a real look into how the rest of the evening is going to be without me even realizing it :)

What a bunch of traitorous scum they are ... the gangsters!

Two questions here...

Does Tad actually believe that the BushCo cabal and a large majority of the GOPher party AREN'T criminals and traitors and scum?

Is Tad seriously worried about being forcibly converted to Islam?

and a quick follow up there...

Is the religion really that tempting to ya?

Spud don't really see the appeal there.

All religions are incomplete but Islam, the youngest of the "Big Three", really needs to grow up.

Be Well.

TADOWE

Since when is telling the truth from the perspective of a combat soldier who's doing the actual fighting wrong?

Only generals in an office are allowed to speak and be believed?

TADOWE

Check out the 'Intel Chief: Eavesdropping caught German Terrorists' thread.

Before the thread is even off Drudge news comes out he lied his ass off to Congress.

Don't trust the big boys just because they're the big boys.

SPUD

How does one do a hyperlink here?

I tried doing one in Word and pasting it here, but it copied the title without the hyperlink.

How does one do a hyperlink here?

Yer asking Spud a techno question?

That's worth popping me head in the door fer.

In the bad old days you used to have to do the work yerself and eventually Spud figured that out(Thanx Stormy). Now you just Cut and paste the address you wanna use into the preview screen and it does it all automatically.

If you grab a youtube clip fer example it will automatically set up a hyperlink after you cut and paste that sez "Youtube".

If ya wanna change the name you just erase the "Youtube" part and then put w/i the parentheses wotever ya like.

That may be the first and last technical question Spud has ever been asked, btw.

Be Well.

AU replies, "Check out the 'Intel Chief: Eavesdropping caught German Terrorists' thread."

I'll comment there. However, in this thread Leftist/Democratics are making heroes out of insubordinate cowards, while vilifying the services, in general, our president, specifically, and out fight against terrorism TRAITOROUSLY!

Take your slavish misdirections and place them in your "progressive" buttocks ...

Spud

I did that, and the http address pastes fine. I was wondering how I'd turn text into a hyperlink.

Like if I typed "Check This Out' or the text of my choosing it would link.

fuck. I usually have to climb the derrick at least once per hitch for some reason or another. I've been extremely lucky this hitch. THough it's been 5 weeks, I haven't had to go up there. Until tonight. Last night on the rig for three weeks.

This old fat man just can't climb up a 170 feet of ladders. It takes me about 25 minutes to do it. A 5 minute job, then I'm done. I'm drenched in sweat.

But I don't care. Later today -- terra firma is mine!

SPUD

In other words, how do I title the hyperlink to say what I want?

For instance, if I wanted to say SPUDS HOUSE and have it link to a website.

When I past a URL the text that derfaults is whatever the site is. I copy an address say from a news story at msnbc.com it will say 'msnbc.com' I'd like to know how you change the text that links.

I've seen you do it. Hope I made myself clear LOL It's really late

TERRA FIRMA at LAST !!!!!!

:-)

This old fat man just can't climb up a 170 feet of ladders. It takes me about 25 minutes to do it. A 5 minute job, then I'm done. I'm drenched in sweat.

Geeze, Goat, be careful. That'd be awful to slip or hurt yourself especially one day before freedom off that rig. That made me exhausted just reading it.

Would either of you guys be able to tell me how to title a hyperlink to say what I want? In Microsoft Word I've got it licked. But, I can't figure it out on Drudge.

Howdy Goatman and Chris :-)

TATER

I have the same exact question as AU. I was watching for your answer after I saw his question and then started to practice by copying the address into the preview pane.

ALL THIS TIME I NEVER KNEW I could just copy the address and it would automatically put it in a link for me!!! I was doing the long, dragged out hyperlink myself every time I put up a link.

My question is the same as AU's. If we want to put our own "description" of the link -- say like "Look here in this link" WHERE do we put it? If we erase the www.______.com and put in our own description it doesn't work, right AU?

In other words turn text to hyperlink at Drudge......

Howdy, AU

I know exactly what you're trying to say to Tater. I don't know how to do it either but boy would it save me a ton of time!

TATER -- WHERE ARE YOU????

"My question is the same as AU's. If we want to put our own "description" of the link -- say like "Look here in this link" WHERE do we put it? If we erase the www.______.com and put in our own description it doesn't work, right AU?"

I'm waiting for the potato to tell me too. I don't have a clue. He's my only hope LOL

In other words, how do I title the hyperlink to say what I want?

It will look like (brackets used insted of greater than and less than signs)

[a href="www.drudge.com]yourlinkname"] []

does this make sense?

He said something about going for smokes. Maybe that's what it is

Thanks, Goat. I'm going to practice right now.

The last set of brackets should be [/a], but as I said, substitute the brackets with greater than and less than signs.

Test coming

[a href="www.msnbc.msn.com/id/
20753513/]Political Singer"]

I can't slip, CC. Company rules, Coast Guard rules, IDAC rules, SOLAS rules, all say you have to wear a safety harness when you climb. All installed ladders over 10' have a steel cable going up the middle of them. YOu have to attach a fall arrestor to the harness and the cable. If you fall, it immediately catches you. It's safe, or I wouldn't do it. With that harness and fall arrestor, you couldn't fall if you wanted to.

Nope

Where'd I go wrong?

[a href="www.msnbc.msn.com/id/
20753513/]Political Singer"][]

Goatman

Do I leave the quotation marks off your example or something?

well, that didn't work well --

I ended the regular web address doing
www.qvc.com"]QVC[/a] ______________________ (the line represents all the rest of the text.

QVC was suppose to be what I was writing to describe the link. oh well. I'll keep practicing. I just need to know exactly where to put my own description -- right after the hyperlink www_____com or right after the entire address at the very end?

should the " be left off after the .com?

cut and paste this to a new post, then substitute the [ with < and the ] with > and you will get to this page with your name.

[a href="
www.drudge.com"]americanunity[/a]

AU

I'll wait for Tater I guess. He might be by in a bit. I never even knew the preview pane on here would link it for me. after all this time....

Actually the stuff in the quotes should be the whole link name. this page shortened it as it does with links. If you type it as above, you will get the front page, but it still works.

I can't slip, CC. Company rules, Coast Guard rules, IDAC rules, SOLAS rules,...

You're a much braver person -- or Goat -- than me *grin* -- as I said the other night, you couldn't pay me enough to climb up there -- safety harness or not

MY TEST

use the quotes. Use everything in my last post except do the substitutions I said, the < for [ and > for ]. There are two of each.

Actually, what cc said works too, but if you want your own name, edit out the DR provided shortcut (usually the www.xxx.com and substitute it with what you want.

YEE HAW!!!!!!!

You've raised my whole blogging experience to a whole new level.

THANKS GOATMAN!!!

Goat is correct:

82nd-soldiers/"]Two Foresworn Soldiers Killed in Truck Accident ALONG WITH 5 OTHERS LEFTIST/DEMOCRATICS THINK ARE FASCIST MURDERERS[/a]

That will do it ...

You did it!

"Two foresworn soldiers" that didn't think the mission was going right, like most lefties here don't.

Does that make them traitors in your eyes, tadowe?

And don't tell me being troops or active would spare them that name from you. John Kerry was a soldier and you accused him of treason.(McCain too)

You're a much braver person -- or Goat --

I've never told anyone as we are not as magnificent as our barnyard brothers, but I am a mountain goat.

CONGRATS AU!

I'll re-read that part in a few minutes. Just got back to the board. We both had the same question. I'll practice in a few minutes. sure will save me time.

THE LAST ONE WENT TO DRUDGE INSTEAD OF THE RIGHT PLACE LOL

THANKS GUYS!!

That did the trick I REALLY appreciate your taking the time Goat and Tad YOU ROCK!!!

Geeeeze, had I only known I was in such esteemed company. All this time I was under the mistaken impression you were just an old barnyard billy. *grin*

OK, I'll do it, since the wrong page come up on google.

One more test for Goatman after months on the rig:

WHAT'S WAITING FOR GOATMAN IN ENSENADA

AU- You bastard. That's my sister!

My link

LMAO Alexandrite !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again Goatman and Tad

CHRIS

That's what Goatman needs to take WITH him to Ensenada. He'll have one of those babes in bed before you can snap your fingers

I prefer some Hong Kong Phooey, if you catch my drift.

CC- You like QVC jewelry? I thought you were a man...

It worked but I still had to do the "[a href="]" at the beginning and fix the add on at the end so not much different than the way I had been doing it before putting it in the preview pane.

thanks, guys, though for your help.

Alex seemingly wonders about how I feel, "Does that make them traitors in your eyes, tadowe?"

What is this fascination you have with me, Alex? I've said what I mean, and you can certainly check that against the definiton you want to know. Do some mental work on your own, Alex, and save yourself some time and avoid this
neurotic obsession you have with me, personally, and the constant effort to make the subject of discussion: me.

"And don't tell me being troops or active would spare them that name from you. John Kerry was a soldier and you accused him of treason.(McCain too)"

Kerry is obviously a traitor! Come on! He met with the enemy, and then repeated the same propaganda they were using, in order to force the defeat of the USA against the enemy he met, more than once!!!

Suck it up -- Kerry fits the definition!

Not so, McCain. He aided-and-abetted the enemy under duress. He is foresworn in his oath as an officer and sailor, but there isn't anyone who considers duress anywhere near the crime that willingly aiding-and-abetting the enemy, and to gain personal political power and standing!

The soldiers who defied orders, were insubordinate and foresworn in their oaths by going public and abandoning their fellow soldiers, who remain loyally and patriotically silent, are COWARDS! They intended to force the service to remove them from combat, and thereby save their craven lives!

They and Kerry will share adjoining rooms in hell ... does that answer your "question", Mr. Trollmonger?

This is a really good tutorial on linking.

www.pageresource.com

Thanks, Jay, I just bookmarked your link.

I'll ask again:

Were these two soldiers in particular traitors?

AU- I hope to God dead soldiers aren't waiting for Goatman and Ensenada. Ya fucked up the link, son.

(Goatman doesn't want Drudge threads in Ensenada...one more try)

go to actual site and copy the address line ...

... or rightclick the link you want and choose properties, then copy the http address there.

WHAT'S WAITING FOR GOATMAN IN ENSENADA AFTER WEEKS ON THE RIG

Or as Tadowe would call them, if he was being brutally honest and didn't realize how shitty it sounded:

"Two dead traitors"

Hint broadly all you like, tad. It's pretty obvious that you think these two men just wanted to get out of a duty because they were afraid, and since they didn;'t follow orders, were "traitors" like Kerry.(and yes, you have called McCain a traitor as well, your recent denials aside. Perhaps the shame of that caught up with you.)

And why do you do this? For the simple crime of not agreeing with your extremism, you spit on the graves of two men who died in service of their country. And they're cowards? I wonder what you would say to their families.

PS- Kerry's testimony might have saved your ass, and those you knew there, from Vietnam. Imagine that.

Bingo

Thanks again guys

Alex

I want to run throught the Kamasutra cover to cover with your sisters LOL

Goatman might be 'in the shower' after what I posted about Ensenada LOL

Filters? They putting saltpeter in the food out there too to keep y'all out of trouble? LOL

CC -- I used to be scared shitless of heights. I still am, I guess. But when I'm wearing my safety harness, I feel safe and it doesn't bother me so much. I also had to get used to walking on gratings all around the rig. There are a lot of places that we get to that are on a grated catwalk dozens of feet off the ground. You learn not to look down.

There is one ladder on the starboard side of the rig that juts out over the water about 15 feet from the rig and about 90 feet above the water. The steps are grates. My butthole still puckers when I use that one.

Goatman- Oddly enough, heights above about 50 feet bother me, but I always buy the window seat on a airplane and that's fine.

Weird, huh?

"There is one ladder on the starboard side of the rig that juts out over the water about 15 feet from the rig and about 90 feet above the water. The steps are grates. My butthole still puckers when I use that one."

Filters? Ladders extending over water?

Man, they're laying out the big guns to protect against possible toe tappin' on the high seas among lonely men aren't they?

Alex -- I, too, don't mind the window seat. I guess it's the sense of security of the bulkheads in the plane or the safety harnesses on the rig. I've often been of the edge of a curb or other safe delineation and thought that there would be no way I could stand within 10 feet of that spot if it was the edge of the building. That's weird too, I guess.

Like other last days on the rig, suddenly everything is broken. Got another call.

Alex admits he was just stalking, "Hint broadly all you like, tad. It's pretty obvious that you think these two men just wanted to get out of a duty because they were afraid, and since they didn;'t follow orders, were "traitors" like Kerry."

Duh! Then, chochem, why did you ask the question, again? Fascination with my feelings and attitude, in order to demonstrate just how "independent" you happen to be ...

"(and yes, you have called McCain a traitor as well, your recent denials aside. Perhaps the shame of that caught up with you.)"

I've said the same thing about McCain as I always have -- due to torture, he confessed to being a war criminal (something you apparently agree he was). Then, when he received medical treatment, continued to assist the enemy in films where he apparently cooperated with the them -- not using any idiom or acting robotic as did most other prisoners forced into such situations.

Everyone understands the difference in having their bravery tested and failing, giving into fear when tortured, and those who willingly agree to assist our enemy for personal gain -- all except slavish Leftist/Democratics and their "independent" dupes and stooges.

That group mocks and reviles anyone who mentions treason, because they are up to their ears in it!!!

"And why do you do this? For the simple crime of not agreeing with your extremism, you spit on the graves of two men who died in service of their country. And they're cowards? I wonder what you would say to their families."

They issued their words, practiced their free speech -- I didn't force them to break their oaths, orders and abandon their peers in apparent fear and cowardice. Neither did I cause the truck accident. My comments are directed, as I said, at those who attempt to make them into HEROES!

Not for their service, but for their disobedience, their disrespect to our country in aiding the goals of the enemy, and deserting their fellow soldiers in their effort seperate themselves from wanting a victory, but instead to lose to Islamic terrorism ... just like you Leftist/Democratic traitors want to do in your urge to help Islam win control of Iraq.

"PS- Kerry's testimony might have saved your ass, and those you knew there, from Vietnam. Imagine that."

Imagine you supporting someone who fits the definition of TRAITOR and even wanting this communist wannabe to be president of the United States -- a f'ing traitor for political power in losing a war to those he met illegally and traitorously!!!

Scumsucking traitor supporting subversives -- that's what the Democratic Party has become ...

Goatman

I know you have a real lag online from the rig. I'll be asleep when you get back.. If you don't leave tomorrow I'll hollar at you then. If you do leave tomorrow have a great vacation and I'll talk to you when you get back.

On heights: I don't have a problem parasailing, but looking down a long ways is enough to makes me queasy. Weird. Guess it's knowing I have a parachute strapped to my butt that makes the difference.

Salt peter and the rig's webfilter that acts like a nun keeps them in line.
Goatman will just have to wait until he's off the rig to quench his thirst with Patron and cure his blueballitis -- *grin*

Wow. Tad thinks the two men who died in Iraq for the mission he believes in are traitors.

Had they done an article that agreed with his position, however, they'd be heroes who stood against the leftists/democrats, and anyone who disagreed with THEM would be traitors.

You truly sicken me. To the core.

CC- Who sez he has blueballs? Mon-Sat he gets to screw the barrel hole.

Sadly, he's in the barrel on sundays.

And I never said McCain was a war criminal. Wax your strawman in private, butthole.

Good night -- from everyone -- even Tadowe :)

AU says, "ALEX Ain't that the truth"

So, if some article had them agreeing with our hopes for victory in Iraq -- I would be calling them heroes?

Sure! Another, Duh! I've said as much about the soldiers these 7 abandoned in that heroic support of the fight against Islamic terrorism!

In that light, you congratulate someone who doesn't think the silent soldiers are heroes, who mocks their heroism to make a personal attack against me!

And, you seemingly think those soldiers who have discipline, follow their legitimate orders, uphold the morale of their service by not fostering fear and cowardice, along with retreat and victory for terrorism. Is that right, AU?

These foresworn soldiers are heroes while their peers are ... what? Fascist murderers and evil mercenaries?

"Why torture the guy, AU, when he's locked up on that rig -- hahaha -- he's only got a few hours and he can check the link out himself sans filter.

Sorry, afraid I won't be of much help.

So, if some article had them agreeing with our hopes for victory in Iraq -- I would be calling them heroes?

Sure! Another, Duh!

But printing such an article would "break the rules" and "violate their oath", tadowe.

You're a hypocrite. A partisan shill.

Your "idea of political debate" is to call anyone that disagrees with you, no mater what they do, a traitor. And anyone that agrees with you, no matter how they do it, a hero.

Your only "debate" here is with your own vanity, and in asking yourself exactly how vague you can be with your slander without getting Rcades boot rectally inserted.

I apologize....It's not slander, it's libel. The crazy things you scream at motorists passing by your house is slander. My bad.

Alexandrite

TADOWE -- you better read this. don't be a coward -- print it out and read all 12 pages and come back on here tomorrow and tell me you still think Bush is an honest man.

G'night all.

Chris abhors corruption, "TADOWE -- you better read this. don't be a coward -- print it out and read all 12 pages and come back on here tomorrow and tell me you still think Bush is an honest man.

I'm quite happy to see the Congress monitor their contract process by their committee: MILCON.

Here, the mainstream media highlights the problem, according to their bias: only Republican corruption, or that which can be inferred as from Republicans can be mentioned. So, they wave their figurative "hands" and underline corruption in the millions (which is Congress' fault ... not Bush's) and ignore, or TO IGNORE:

>SEN. Dianne Feinstein has resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee. As previously and extensively reviewed in these pages, Feinstein was chairperson and ranking member of MILCON for six years, during which time she had a conflict of interest due to her husband Richard C. Blum's ownership of two major defense contractors, who were awarded billions of dollars for military construction projects approved by Feinstein.

Corrupt Democratics get away with BILLIONS and go univestigated ...

While a pack of slavish, subversive partisan trash attempts to hold our commander in chief guilty of another person's corruption!

Scum traitors and gangsters supporting their criminal leadership ...

Get thee behind me, Leftist/Democratics! You F'ing traitors!

Here, the mainstream media highlights the problem, according to their bias:

CC's link was mainstream media? It was an internet site. A leftist internet site.

PS- Good riddance to Feinstein.

Alex notices, "CC's link was mainstream media? It was an internet site. A leftist internet site."

Say! That's right! The Mainstream Media WON'T REPORT ON IT!!!

To protect Democratics is the reason and since their BIAS is to do so while reviling Republicans ... and don't tell me you can't see that!

"Comment on the article, please. Or rather, read it, then comment. PS- Good riddance to Feinstein."

I read it and noticed that this site's, here, leftist minions used it to blame Bush, while it is the oversight of Congress which failed and in those instances, and which is still failing to investigate Feinstein and the BILLIONS IN CORRUPTION ... while the Leftist/Democratic pissants point fingers at Republicans.

The scumsucking apologists for party corruption!!!

You, too, "Independent"!

The MSM won't report an article that bashes the president with facts?

How 'liberal media' of them.

Alex makes a joke, "The MSM won't report an article that bashes the president with facts? How 'liberal media' of them."

This is why I couldn't do it without you, Alex. I mention that Leftist/Democratics want to distract from, misdirect attention onto Republicans, for the faults of Democratics. So, true to form and as a demonstration of that slavish intent ... you misdirect my point and spin it into the opposite using impression via a rhetorical question. The very typical effort that those without any ability to reason a contradiction, and so they invent a lie to promote!

And, the fools will do it EVERY TIME!

Alex does so, and with everyone ... not just me, his
neurotic obsession and object of blind hatred.

Oh, good...our resident chickenshit is back.

Ir should that be chickensh/t?

Ir = Or

Too damn early.

TADOWE

When my mom's situaton requires I get up, I have a hard time going back to sleep. Hanging out blogging beats watching the same story on TV until I can get my body clock to quit chiming and go to sleep. The situation has turned my body clock into a cuckoo clock Plus, we have us some fun in the wee hours. LOL

CC...But when I'm wearing my safety harness, I feel safe and it doesn't bother me so much. I also had to get used to walking on gratings all around the rig. There are a lot of places that we get to that are on a grated catwalk dozens of feet off the ground. You learn not to look down.

It's weird, but I don't mind heights if I know I would have a chance to make it if I fell -- say if here was water underneath me. I could go out on a limb 50 feet high much easier with a lake below than I could a 50 foot high limb over nothing but concrete underneath. I'd probably get killed either way if I fell -- it's just psychological I guess knowing there is some sort of survivable "cushion" below me.

error -- there should be no italics in the last paragraph above starting with "It's weird...."

I was in the Marines.

I don't hate Danni I appreciate the concern.

WE don't belong in Iraq. The best way to support the troops is to bring them home.

Fund the withdrawal now.

Make them walk point.

ABC News Headline: Two War Critic Soldiers Killed in Iraq

abcnews.go.com

By MARCUS BARAM

"Sgt. Omar Mora, 28, and Staff Sgt. Yance T. Gray, 26, two of the authors of "The War as We Saw It," were killed in Baghdad Monday when the five-ton cargo truck they were riding in overturned."

How did this happen: "five-ton cargo truck they were riding in overturned."

Just up and over? Uh, was there a ditch? Was the road lopsided? Was the cargo badly packed or unevenly distributed? Was there even any cargo on the truck? Were any other vehicles involved? Did they see a hot babe in a bikini on the other side of the road and lose their concentration and drive over a cliff? Were the drivers drunk or on drugs? Who was driving the truck anyway?

Five-ton cargo trucks don't just "overturn".

How many other people were in the "five-ton cargo truck"? Did any of the other passengers die?

Did a journalist write this "report" or a fourth-grader? Would a fourth-grader have written a better "report"? Was there any smoke? Any fire? Any explosions?

Did a cow walk in front of it? Were there any witnesses? Any survivors? Are there any photographs? Where exactly in Bagdad did this "accident" take place? Was it in the "Green Zone"? A Sunni neighborhood? A Shiite neighborhood?

Is, or was, there any kind of investigation? Did they die immediately or were they taken to a hospital? If so, which one? Did anybody interview anyone at the scene? Was there any sign of sabotage?

Is this "report" just a joke? So many fundamental questions unanswered. Is this what "reporting" has come to? Would you like to have so many unanswered questions hanging over your own or one of your loved ones deaths? Whatever happened to who, what, where, why, how, when, how long, how many ... .and all those kind of questions?

Why doesn't the Army explain to his mother: "Mora's mother wants the Army to explain his death to her." -- and to the world!!!

Is it top secret? Are they hiding something? Is this a conspiracy?

"I want to know all the details of how he died. I want to know the truth," Olga Capetillo told The Associated Press. "I don't understand how so many people could die in that accident. How could it be so bad?"

How many people is "so many people"? And what made this accident "so bad"?

Did they leave any dying statements? They died Monday and the story was reported by ABC on Wednesday.

What took so long? Were the fax machines jammed? Was the reporter's email out of commission? Was he invaded by alien lizards?

So many questions....

This should be the headlines everyday until it's fully investigated:
