Umm...How would they know? They're not even there!

Do they watch Fox News? NO. They don't know shit.

Idiots

What IraqCumalloveryourface said.

he survey by the BBC, ABC News and NHK

BBC = Bash Bush Constantly

What's next a moveon.org poll of Iraqis about the surge?

LOL

Yeh, what the hell do IRAQIs know about their own country? They should of asked BOWA! He knows more about them towel-heads from his trailer tee-vee showing FOX NEWS.

The Iraqis are just saying this to embarrass President Bush. They actually love us, as all the chocolates and flowers our troops receive daily (except the ones who get blown up in order to embarrass our President).

When Bush flew into that airbase in the middle of the desert, in the middle of the night, did any Iraqi protest? No, they were too busy enjoying all water or electricity we gave them to go, though I'm sure they would have loved to see Bush in person.

US bribe insurgents to fight Al-Qaeda

AMERICAN forces are paying Sunni insurgents hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash to switch sides and help them to defeat Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Bush is to lay out his vision for the future of Iraq in an address to the nation this week.

JeffInD - that is not news, but you wouldn't know it from the coverage it's (not) getting here. Big deal - we're bribing some Iraqis to kill others. That's not a particularly good long-term strategy, though it sure makes Bowa's panties wet.

BBC = Bash Bush Constantly

Clever.

Remember how the UK stuck with us when almost every other country dropped out of our "coalition of the willing?"

Ah, but now they're not so willing to support Bush's miserable policy, so they're just a bunch of liars.

I see how it is.

that is not news

No shit, especially since it's from Britain. What do those fried-fish eating surrender-monkeys know?

-Bowa

Bottom line is it doesn't matter what the Iraqis want or think. According to the Washington Times, the Bushies have given up on all their pre-war delusions and the only reason we're in Iraq is because Bush opened the door for Iran. sad part is, he's already lost that war too. somebody should have told him the Iraqi shia and kurds liked Iran.

Poll: Iraqis Consider Surge a Failure

Firts, let me say that with the BBC involved, I think the whole poll is suspect -- the methodolgy used was one on one interviews in people's homes -- and there is a lot of manipulation that can go on by an interviewer in theway they phrase questions, he inflections, etc.

That said, if this poll was truthful, it is most ironic about it is that when so many Iraqis feel free and liberated enough to criticize America and say the surge has failed ...it proves the surge has been a success.

I doubt Iraqis would have been so forthcoming in criticism of Saddam if interviewed by pollsters from Saddams state run media. Likewise I doubt they would freely criticize al-quada to pollsters from Al-Jazeera, or criticize Iran to pollsters from the Iranian state run media.

***** That said, if this poll was truthful, it is most ironic about it is that when so many Iraqis feel free and liberated enough to criticize America and say the surge has failed ...it proves the surge has been a success. BOWA ****

.........so if the Iraqis say the surge has failed then it's succeeded, and if they say the surge has succeeded then it's succeeded..........

.........hhhmmm.........those wacky Iraqis........

That said, if this poll was truthful, it is most ironic about it is that when so many Iraqis feel free and liberated enough to criticize America and say the surge has failed ...it proves the surge has been a success.

Hehe. Spin away.

WOW. That's Tony Snow spin.

I didn't know it required a troop surge to do a door to door poll. No wonder the U.S. census is every ten years...

Wow. 70% of Iraqis don't think things are better in Iraq too?

That only leaves 30% here in the U.S. and there in iraq who aren't 'subversives' or 'traitors' eh?

Amazing they were able to conduct such a poll under the conditions we're constantly reminded exist by leftist traitors. Truly amazing, what, with no lights, no phones, no electricity and no water... not forgetting to mention the all out civil war happening on every street every day and every night.

What a bunch of gullible guppies...

I just went to Rush Limbaugh's website.

You can read exactly what most of the usual far rightie posters post here in it's original form - no crackers required for the parrot either.

Secret MoD poll: Iraqis support attacks on British troops
By Sean Rayment, Defence Correspondent
Last Updated: 11:59pm BST 22/10/2005

Millions of Iraqis believe that suicide attacks against British troops are justified, a secret military poll commissioned by senior officers has revealed.

The poll, undertaken for the Ministry of Defence and seen by The Sunday Telegraph, shows that up to 65 per cent of Iraqi citizens support attacks and fewer than one per cent think Allied military involvement is helping to improve security in their country.

Andrew Robathan: Government policy 'disastrous'
It demonstrates for the first time the true strength of anti-Western feeling in Iraq after more than two and a half years of bloody occupation.

What Will BOWA say about the British Ministry of Defense , Let See Bush Mashers And Detractors Maybe?

with no lights, no phones, no electricity and no water... not forgetting to mention the all out civil war happening on every street every day and every night.

Gosh, that couldn't have anything to do with the dissatisfaction could it?

Naaaaah.

Funny how the bleeding liberals are saying the Generals data is not right, when they have been twisting the facts for the last 20+ years to meet there political agenda, they just cant stand any good news from Iraq, so they like most of the media keep twisting the facts and fooling the general masses into thinking what they WANT them to see. whats really sad is the dumbed down masses that think ABC, CBS, NBC BBC are actually reporting the truth, thats the real problem here, .. Thanks God for FOX and talk radio at least you get the other side of the story..

If the Iraqis want our troops off their streets then all they have to do is get their parliament to agree to the oil deal and give our oil companies the PSAs they want. It amazes me that the news media, Democratic politicians, most pundits, etc. discuss the situation but conveniently avoid that part of the story.
Americans need to get it through their thick skulls, Bush did not invade Iraq for humanitarian reasons, because of WMDs, to bring democracy, etc....they did it for the oil. It was the oil, is the oil, will be the oil.

You guys are pretty sad. Funny how your free enough to complain about the very thing that some are trying to give to another country. Do you really want to know what is the problem here in America? They are the politicians. One group in particular has been flipped so far left that it really is sad to see. The only thing on the lefts mind is not what is really good for the country, but just to get control of the white house. All I can say is that you all better open your eyes to the dangers out there, it is just waiting and listening to what is going on here so they can inflict the most harm. What is worst is that you all are contributing to our very defeat in every way shape or form. Us Americans can no longer trust our politicians, our press, hell we can not even trust each other. Our youth is screwed up as apparent in the MTV fiasco. However, I know what you all are going to say...."It's all the presidents fault right?"

Thanks God for FOX and talk radio at least you get the other side of the story..

Ha ha ha ha ha ....funny.

Amusing that Bowa and others seem to think the BBC and the other "leftist" media (including that commie-loving NHK!) have such power that they can taint the outcome of this poll.

Look, I'm willing to believe that a lot of Iraqis are unreasonably ungrateful. Saddam was an evil man, yes, and his people have been "liberated" from his tyranny. But Iraqis are too unfamiliar with liberty to even know what it means. And humans being what they are, they don't see constant sectarian violence and dysfunctional utilities as progress. Moreover, the liberation of Iraq was not the rationale originally given for our invasion. It's just the latest story given to justify our occupation -- that and "fighting the terrorists over there so we don't have to fight them here" -- as if the bad guys are following the script, politely acquiescing and refraining from hitting us at home.

I really do hope for democracy, peace and happiness in Iraq. I really do wish the surge could work. But our Iraq operation was a misguided adventure from Day One. It was not in our nation's best interest politically. Iraq was not a serious threat to the U.S. And now our best hope is cleaning up the mess we made so we don't make things worse. I just don't see how we've made Americans any safer from terrorism.

One more thing: A majority of Iraqis polled want the U.S. to stay until security improves - which would hardly support claims that the poll is skewed toward the "defeatist" media.

Right out of the Gay Old Party playbook.

AP Poll: Most see Iraq war as failure
By ALAN FRAM, Associated Press Writer
1 hour, 26 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - The public sees the Iraq war as a failure and thinks the U.S. troop buildup there has not worked, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll suggesting the tough sell President Bush faces in asking Congress and voters for more time.

The pessimism expressed by most people -- including significant minorities of Republicans -- contrasted with the brighter picture offered by Gen. David Petraeus. The chief U.S. commander in Iraq is telling Congress this week that the added 30,000 troops have largely achieved their military goals and could probably leave by next summer, though he conceded there has been scant political progress.

By 59 percent to 34 percent, more people said they believe history will judge the Iraq war a complete or partial failure than a success. Those calling it a failure included eight in 10 Democrats, three in 10 Republicans and about six in 10 independents, the poll showed -- ominous numbers for a president who hopes to use a nationally televised address later this week to keep GOP lawmakers from joining Democratic calls for a withdrawal.
