If he's dead, at least he was doing something he loved.

That's a lot more than you can say for a lot of people.

I want to either die in My sleep or on the shitter. I don't care which.

Larry

He never filed a flight plan.
Whenever you hear of the flight gone missing it's a fairly safe bet the plane has crashed. Someone would have been in radio contact with him by now if his plane was okay.
Too bad. A real adventurer.

I don't care which.

Why not both?

Why not both?

Like Elvis.

I want to die like Richard Pryor's grandfather.

In bed with a woman, coming and going at the same time.

He was trying to be the first man to duplicate Amelia Earhart's record.

Maybe he got raptured early.

Now Bush does this?

He must have strayed over Area 51 and they took him out.

Well he could have gone down and lived, but the radio's trashed.
Hopefully he watched a few episodes of 'Man vs Wild'. He might hike out onto a road in a couple days.

Who gives a fuck. This guy obviously had a death wish to begin with. Too bad he didn't crash land into the MDA telethon.

YEAH!

If he did (watch 'Man vs. Wild') he is most surly dead by now ----- there are no motel 8's in that area and no caravan of support vehicles to get him to one.

This guy obviously had a death wish to begin with.

YEAH!
Says a certified Bush "Adventurer"!

Unfortunately 101 not everyone can just play dress up and call it "werk", some actually have to go out and push the edges from time to time!

This guy used his vast wealth for what? Breaking records.

He is trivial and should be (or should have been) using his assets for something good rather than just fufilling some childish whims...................

You are so wrong on this. He is doing great things by doing what He has been doing. You may not think breaking records means a whole hell of a lot but tell that to the future astronaut that has that dream and sees that dreams can come true. Tell that to that 7 Year old wannabe surgeon that has the dream of someday becoming a Doctor. Tell that to the Adults who have given up hope of realizing their dreams that some dreams do come true. He inspires Many to trod on to do great things themselves. You may think He is trivial but some kid knows better.

Larry

I see your point Larry but sailing around the world in a balloon is useful how?

Want to inspire children to dream, set up a camp where they can actully experience some of these things first hand. Did he do that. NOt even close.

JMNSHO

Key words here 2112, 'his vast wealth'. He can do what ever he damn well pleases with it moron.

True Mr. Wiggles, however it is my position that with vast eslth comes at least a modicum of responsibility.

And you have researched Fossett's 1040 to assert that he has not displayed a smattering of 'noblesse oblige'?

No, just watch his childish pointless self fufilling antics thru the years.

...childish pointless self fufilling antics...

Sounds like a value judgement based on faulty logic and assumptions. Ah, to be so wealthy to do the same - and contribute grandly to Planned Parenthood - what a world we could have.

It's possible the Big Guy decided it was time to turn off the Fossett.....
