A plane carrying five Jehovah's Witness ministers crashed in a remote area of eastern Tennessee, killing all aboard, officials said.

The crash, which happened around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, wasn't discovered until more than eight hours later, when another pilot spotted the wreckage.

Tragic.

I guess God Is My Copilot wasn't on the reading list.

"Watch out for that tower. Oh, sh...."

Isn't Pat Robertson going to ring in on why this happened?

Surely, they must have been unrighteous in God's eyes somehow.

Out of all the millions of words over hundreds of years, theological reasoning could never adequately explain why bad things happen to good people. The answer is so simple: Nature is amoral. Random forces move in ways that can't be seen or anticipated. We can sense only a tiny fraction of what goes on around us.

That's why they call it faith, Ray. Chasing your tail counting angels on the head of a pin. You believe uncritically otherwise you have no faith and are a faithless unbeliever. Faithful to nothing, I believe.

Gawd works in mysterious ways.

Spud was just reading a "famous last words" quote site and came across this note made by a 53 yo Japanese businessman to his family just before his 747 went down...

"Be good to each other and work hard, Help your mother.
I'm very sad but I'm sure I won't make it.
Its been 5 minutes now.
I don't want to take anymore planes.
To think that our dinner last night was the last time.
There was smoke that seemed to come from an explosion in the cabin and we began making a descent.
Tsuyoshi I am counting on you.
Mother-- to think something like this would happen.
Its too bad. Goodbye
Its 6:30 now
The plane is rolling around and descending rapidly.
I am grateful for the truly happy life I have enjoyed until now.
"

"...Half a page of scribbled lines"

Ya never know.

Be Well.

Faithful to nothing, I believe.

Faithful to reality. We have no other choice.
You can escape reality, but you can't escape its consequences.

"We have no other choice."

Well...no other rational choice...

First of all Ray, read the Bible and that will answer your question. Secondly, why do you assume that death is a bad thing. If they were believers, I know nothing about these people, then they are with God in Heaven and there is nothing bad for them.

& Ray order your Jesus doll now!!!

Wrong. You can't escape reality alive. No choice.

"First of all Ray, read the Bible and that will answer your question."

Ray knows more about the bible than you do.

I've studied the book from cover to cover. It's composed of legends, poetry and myths. See my website usbible.com

Secondly, why do you assume that death is a bad thing.

What makes you think that?
It's neither good or bad. It's a fact of life. I have no problem with it. It sounds more like a Christian thing to me, all this worrying about an afterlife.

Ray,
And you don't know how bad things happen to good people. The Bible says,no one is good, except one.

So, I am not going to your website based on what you have written done. You in your limited thought, can match the infinite wisdom of God. I listen to a man of God that knows more about the Word of God than you can imagine.

done=down
better get that in before the grammar police come.

Time to go. If you respond Ray, don't think I am running away. I am off to a BBQ. You can talk with Bob, he knows all about the Bible also.

You in your limited thought, can match the infinite wisdom of God.

I can with my infinite imagination.

I listen to a man of God that knows more about the Word of God than you can imagine.

I can imagine. I wrote about it.

you are running away:>)

Oh well, at least it was quick and they did not die from needing a blood transfusion which they were refusing on the grounds of their religion.

The ironoc thing is god knew this was going to happen even before he created the Universe, yet how many prayers are being said?

Shit Happens...

I remember a conversation I had with my daughter after someone had broke into my house. I should have done this or that, etc. She told me to not take this wrong, but "shit happens, get over it".

She was right and I did.

We can all wonder why but none of us knows.

Or as a boss of mine once put it after he had given me some bad news. "Well, I will give you 10 minutes to feel sorry for yourslef, then we need to get back to work"....

This one is just too simple. Think I'll take a pass.

No wait...!

It's Clinton's fault.

Poof

christian morons!

Is this the beginning of the Rapture?

Life is short, death can happen anytime. The real trick is to live each day as if it were your last. Then when tomorrow comes, it's like a gift. Coming to terms with your own death is pretty hard for a lot of people, but the reality is, when you're gone, you're gone. Everything you did and hoped for and dreamed for is gone, into nothing. You cannot take it with you.

Allow me to finish your little wordage of skewed knowledge properly.

"In a materialistic sense, that is."

Now, That's better.

Glad to help.

"Isn't Pat Robertson going to ring in on why this happened?"

Nah...no money in it.
