This is BIG news and a sign of just how well the surge is working. None of phony John McCain stuff of visiting a marketplace in Baghdad where nobody can go without kevlar vests, football helmets, and a SWAT team for protection. When the President of the Free World can visit a American air base in remote Anbar Province, you know that Gen. David Petreaeus and the freedom fighting men and women in his command should be told the job's been well done. Well done!

Next stop: Australia!

Tomorrow: the World (but not as you and I know it)!

Two of the reasons why a desperate pathological administration would be motivated to attack Iran - to distract from its failures in Iraq and a sinking economy.

This assclown is so desperate it's not even funny. I guess seeing Him sweat His nads off is poetic justice some would say. Cause We all know He is all scrotum and no testicles.

Larry

But did he bring his plastic turkey this time?

He is all scrotum and no testicles.

Well it could be said he thinks through his swollen testicles.

Whenever I read comments like the above, I think about teenage boys with nasty mouths. How old are you guys anyway?

But did he bring his plastic turkey this time?

No, but he brought Condi!

"No, but he brought Condi!"

Just as edible.

Last week I posted a statistic that Ron Paul received the lions share of political donations from the troops over seas. Something like 70%. Also last week I posted a mainstream news article about how Bushco disenfranchised the military voters over seas by having a large portion of them put on challenge lists and their votes not counted. The twisted irony of it is that the way they disqualified the overseas military vote was to classify the troops over seas as not living at their address of registration. Ya duh! There in Iraq and afghanistan.
I bet he has extra tight security to keep from getting fragged..... By Americans.....

Bush wept on God's shoulder (again) and God said "George, go to Iraq on your way to Australia and bribe some Sunnis"

Why Did He Not Fly In To Baghdad, Afraid To Be Shot Down ?

Oh Shelby Came Close Last Week !!

Bush Had To "Sneak In Through The Back Door Jack"

Wow...gives me a hard-on to picture this Top Gun president with his paper "bulge" to prop up his paper surge. Did you hear that press heard him screaming as they took off, "Can't we just go to Nebraska!!".

The seditious traitor has spoken.

You're pathetic.

That's all I have to say to you today. A vow is a vow and I take them seriously. You, on the other hand, obviously don't.

His pathetic little photo-ops are already appearing in the MSM. He has, of course, surrounded himself with real men and I suppose he hopes some of their presence will rub off on him. Look closely and you'll see his "paper bulge".

No plastic ice cream cones.

According to CNN the surgerific activity in the Anbar triangle has created about 300 well-paid concerned sunnis who aren't currently trying to kill us.

Do you really think this boy-man deserves respect?

This isolated air base in the middle of a northern Iraqi desert was captured by Australian troops from former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's forces during the early weeks of the war, has a 13-mile perimeter and is home to 10,000 U.S. troops, including 7,000 Marines and 3,ooo members of the Army.

Sounds like the base in Cornhole Nebraska Bush ran to on 9-11. Sort of makes McCain't visit to the markets in Baghdad seem less woosie in comparison.

I know you can't help yourself, Ray. Everytime George Bush's face is in the news, you get another outbreak of BSD.

Anamerican
And you probably get a hard on. Don't you feel the rush at the thought of all that military firepower in your brain. Just waiting for your hero to say the word. Then poof! Doesn't it give your useless meaningless life a sense of self worth.

Bush Visits Air Base in Iraq

Did he bring the same plastic turkey with him?

"Bush Visits Air Base in Iraq"

To get a refill of air for the space between his ears.

"When we begin to draw down troops it will be from a position of strength and success, not from a position of fear and failure" - Bush today in Iraq

He means when we decide this disaster can be CALLED a success. Even he knows it will never BE a success.

"Politicians in Washington DC" will not make that decision.

Oh? Isn't he a politician in Washington DC?

Dubya using the troops again for his own ego and political gain. I am sick of these reruns.

Didn't see your post. I'll often just jump in and post at the end of a thread and not always read it from the top down --

bad habit of mine.

The surge has worked so well that POTUS doesn't announce his itinerary. Rumor has it that Condi and Gates had to be dragged, kicking and screaming onto AF One shouting "Please Mr. Custer, I don't wanna go....!"

Well, no balls no Air Medal.

I understand Gates flew in on a different plane. Condi and W were on Air Force One. As you know, Laura had a "pinched nerve" and couldn't go.

JCOAC! I simply can't fathom some of the ca-ca that is being posted here.

What the hell do y'all expect? Much as I fundamentally dislike the current occupant of the white House, he is the President and the Presidency must be protected. You don't announce in a war zone that the Pres is coming, then drop him into a hot zone like Baghdad.

"..surrounded himself with real men and I suppose he hopes some of their presence will rub off on him."

Uhm, there were some women present also. But I guess they're not real men? Are they real women?

I was thinking more along the lines of dropping him off in Fallujah.

Does it matter if they're real to Bush? They're all nothing but cannon fodder to him anyway.

"How is morale?" asked Bush.

"Very high, sir," said the unidentified Marine.

A bold but probably not representative sentiment, given the Bush administration's penchant for only hand-picking the most loyal supporters for visit-ops.

Bush can only visit the occupying army now for any semblance of support for a failed occupation. Of course, the Republicans would rather we stay there forever and destroy our economy and ability to defend ourselves from nations that may actually have weapons that could attack us.

This is a preemptive strike on the Petreaeus Report, shooting first and asking questions later being something with which George Bush has great experience.

Why didn't he fly in to Baghdad you ask? According to the talking heads it was twofold...
1. To show the Sunni's in Anbar that the Government recognizes their strides
2. To snub Maliki and the lack of progress in Baghdad

We all know that had Bush not visited Iraq that you cunts would be bitching about that as well. You're like a bunch of toys waiting for your strings to be pulled so you can belch out the same tired phrases.

3. After the Senators nearly got shot down last week, they weren't taking any chances.

But place your bets folks: will a Senior Administration official ever make an announced trip to Baghdad during the remainder of Bush's presidency?

You forgot,

3. Because Baghdad (Especially the Green Zone) takes incoming all day long.

www.youtube.com

How many of dickbags made derogatory comments about Bush and Cheney "only" visiting the Green Zone when those threads appeared?

As I correctly stated, regardless of what happens the lemmings will bitch. The pattern is clear and stating otherwise is indefensible.

Of course pointing out the M.O. of the leftwing kooks here is pointless because the freaks ignore the obvious.

The Green Zone used to be a lot safer. Considering The Surge is focused on Baghdad, you'd think that that would be the place to go to prove it's working.

Iraq fatalities:
Baghdad last month/this month:
900/650

Total fatalities last month/this month:
1900/2318

What's gone on in Anbar has little to nothing to do with The Surge. That turn around started before The Surge due to a change in strategy. As I posted on another thread:

Now what the Sunnis are doing in Anbar and elsewhere is carrying out a promise, an offer they made four years ago. In 2003, the dismantled apparatus of Saddam's military and intelligence communities approached the Americans and said, we are your allies, we're opposed to Iran, we're opposed to al Qaeda, we're willing to host U.S. bases, but you've brought in a bunch of Iranian agents. We're willing to work with you.
Their aim from the beginning has been to wear down American will, until America was ready to deal with them. And after four years, America has been batted into a position where they're willing to come in and deal, put them in power locally, put them in police uniforms, and use them as a counterbalance against the very government America created.

Of course pointing out the M.O. of the leftwing kooks here is pointless because the freaks ignore the obvious. 101

One thing that is "obvious" is that today is September 4, 2007.

How long was this "war" going to last, 101???

"As I correctly stated, regardless of what happens the lemmings will bitch."

4+ years, thousands of lives, a trillion dollars, and the road from the Baghdad Airport to the Green Zone is still a suicide drive?

The real question is, why aren't you bitching?
