Craig was clearly afraid of the publicity, and justifiably so, because, as was proven this week, even a whiff of toilet sex is fatal in America.

If he's not gay (or bi-), that's fine, he's just guilty of of trolling for anonymous gay sex in an airport bathroom, while voting against gays serving in the military and against legislation protecting gays. However, trolling for gay sex to the point of knowing all the secret hand signals suggests to me he's done this before. Do you have any explanation how he knew it was the left hand with which to signal? He seemed especially vehement denying it was his left hand. It wouldn't matter which hand to anyone, unless Craig knew the lingo, and feared the undercover was aware of the lingo as well.

He didn't plead guilty to this either. He pled guilty to 'disorderly conduct,' and he only pled guilty to that in the hope that it wouldn't be publicized.

Craig lit the fuse on his own ouster, though, when he publicly proclaimed he wasn't gay. Senators more familiar with Craig knew his "partners" would come out of the woodwork (bathroom?) proving him a liar. Also, it seems Senators listening to the audio tape came to a conclusion quite opposite yours .
