The White House is attempting to distance itself from the Maliki government before September, when the troop buildup in Iraq will undergo an intense re-evaluation.

And a preview of what's to come:

It's All Someone Else's Fault!

The "Taking Personal Responsibility to a New Level" Bushiets

When does the third war against Iraq start??

Funny part is that many shia see Maliki as being too pro-American...

Iraq recently asked China to restart an oil deal China had negotiated with Saddam. Between the kurdish and shia militias, Iraq could take care of its own sunni terrorist problem. Wouldn't be pretty, but wouldn't take long either.
How many US oil companies would refuse to work with Iraq if we were asked to "de-occupy" Iraq by the Iraqi government? Somewhere between zero and none?

So the puppet won't dance. Boo Hoo!

Things I should be doin' over the next 500 days.

"Instead, Mr. Bush acknowledged "a certain level of frustration" with the Iraqi government's failure..."

Gee, I guess now he knows how most folks in THIS country feel about HIM.

George picked him and now wants to trade him. Another good job georgie

Maybe Bush thinks he's still managing a baseball team.
Sorry, you can't trade Maliki for a couple prospects and a next round draft pick.

Aww Maliki wont keep his tongue far enough up Geedubs cornhole and sign the national oil fields over to the fiat dollar backing oil corporations, now Goerge threatens to kick his ass .. yet another poor miserable failure of George ...

after all getting that contract signed was the highest priority of his Presidency, they've been planning this robbery for a decade.

It doesn't matter who we put in the Iraq government, as soon as we leave the whole place will fall apart. We can leave now and it will fail,or we can leave in two years or ten year s and it will fail. When Saddam was there he kept things in order. He may have have been an evil dictator bastard but they didn't have half the problems they do now.

Why doesn't Chimpy take the job as dictator of Iraq? He has the credentials and will need a new job anyway soon!

Why doesn't Chimpy take the job as dictator of Iraq?

Cheney doesn't like the heat, and without Dickless there to tell him what to do, Georgyboy would ride his bike over an IED within 24 hours.

It was not quite the vote of no confidence delivered by Senator Carl Levin of Michigan, the Democratic chairman of the Armed Services Committee, who on Monday said Mr. Maliki should quit.

I didn't read the article, what did it say?

Considering Maliki's recent statement that Iraq can "find other friends" must have George Bush worried that he's about to be tag teamed by Iraq and Iran with China and Russia as the referees.

After which, of course, Saudi Arabia will have no choice but to mass it's military on their common border. And then guess what?

We'll be off to the races again.

So where's the State Department in all this negotiating and why isn't Condi Rice over there doing her "thang?"

Come to think of it . . . Where IS Condi Rice, period! She seems to have disappeared.
