"We will find many around the world who will support us in our endeavor."

Great! Why don't you get right on that while we bring the troops (that are propping up your ass) home.

"We will find many around the world who will support us in our endeavor."

Pay close attention boys and girls, we are now being blackmailed by our new friends, the Iraqi government.

Either our soldiers stay and die in Iraq for the next 50 years while the Iraqi army drinks tea, or they'll become allies with Iran and China, and we won't get their oil.

With friends like this, who needs Saddam?

and nobody (has the right to) put timetables ... on it," referring to conditions set by Washington for his government to achieve political reconciliation among Iraqi groups...

Translation: We're really not sure how long the ethnic cleansing is going to take, so we don't want to commit to a time table just yet. We'll have reconciliation when the Sunnis and Kurds are good and dead, hold your camels.

...............time to pack up and go...............

"Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki hit back at U.S. criticism of his government on Wednesday, saying nobody had the right to set timetables for progress."

That's right, Meester Boosh! We a democracy now! You don' like it? Here, I got purple-inked thumb I shove straight up your ass!

"Maybe this person who made a statement yesterday is upset by the nature of our visit to Syria," Maliki said. He did not make clear if he was referring to U.S. ambassador Ryan Crocker or Bush.

"We're all grown up and can hang out with whoever we want."

I'm sure Bush has heard that from Jenna and Barb. Sorry Bushies, this whole fiasco was devised back in the 1990s by Irnians and pro-Iranian shia to get America to get rid of Saddam and the baathists. They only had to wait to find a big enough fool to do it for them.

"We will find many around the world who will support us in our endeavor."

Yeah - we will ally ourselves with Syria and Iran - that will scare the Americans who just spent a trillion dollars and 3700 of their lives to "Save" us from Saddam.

Bush/Cheney - always fair weather - Mission Accomplished - Victory in Iraq

New slogan coming September 15th. "Iraq - the way forward"

..."These statements do not concern us a lot. What concerns us is our democratic experiment and adhering to the constitution. We will find many around the world who will support us in our endeavor."

Like....our next door neighbor. Oh, by the way, did I mention I invited President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to dinner???

Oh, it's OK - Bush "mispoke" in Canada by seeming lukewarm on al-Maliki:

Today:

The White House set out to reframe Bush's comment.

Wary of how Bush's comments the day before had been widely interpreted, National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said the president's words were not intended to signal a withdrawal of support for al-Maliki. As a result of the heavy media coverage of his remarks at the North American summit in Canada, Bush will insert a direct line of support for al-Maliki in his speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars conference, Johndroe said.

Just wanted to clear that up, so you know, everything is going well.

The 14 Americans who died today when their helicopter went down were brave souls fighting for freedom and the USA.

History will be the decider.

History will be the deciderer.

History will be the decidererer.

We can fight them hear, or fight them over their.

We can fight them here, or fight them over their.

We can fight them here, or fight them over there.

This is just more evidence of the ongoing failure of this country's interventionist foreign policy, though there will still be those that apply wilsonian/neoconservative arguments to push for more global intervention in the name of "the war on terror' or "making the world safe for democracy". They will play upon the basest fears and prejudices of the American populace. They will be the ones who do not focus on America first in their words and actions, but rather use America as a springboard to achieve their rather un-American ends. They will be the ones that make questionable alliances with those who consciously or unconsciously seek to destroy the fundamental basis on which this country was founded. They will excuse their fellow Americans who disregard principle tenets of the American Constitution in the name of security. They will be those who seek to create polarized, internal dischord and partisan-ize internal disagreements to the level of liberal vs. conservative. They will be those who use external conditions in other countries to argue "what's good for America". They will be those who continually use media sources from other countries in which to make their points. They will be those who moralize immorality and justify evil in the name of good.

They will be those fail to understand that the only thing separating this country from any other in the world-- the only thing that still keeps us head and shoulders above all the others is not our people (for surely they are like any other people in the world), not our land, not our military strength, not our storied history of achievement and progress, but a fragile, yellowed, dog-eared bunch of paper called U.S. CONSTITUTION.

""Bush will insert a direct line of support for al-Maliki in his speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars conference, Johndroe said.""

Then can he come to dinner too???
Dining with the Axis of Evil, that sounds like an interesting evening.

Maliki is doing exactly what he set out to do back in the 90s, when he and his DAWA group were part of the Iraq national Cogress, under Chalabi. Back when they were the heroes of Cheney and Rummy and the neo-cons. Create a shia-led, Iranian leaning government in Iraq not a puppet of the US or saudi Arabia.
Too bad the neo-cons were too stupid to believe reality, and not their Imperial wet dreams. The great irony is that both Bush presidents were used to provide the blood and treasure to go after Saddam, once by saudialquedastan, and once by Iranayatollahstan.

Too bad the neo-cons were too stupid to believe reality, and not their Imperial wet dreams

In 21st century America, reality is in the eye of the beholder (the beholder being whoever owns the MSM).

He's right!

I'd be the same way. As long as these dumb bastards want to throw billions down a rat hole (read "my pockets"), we will continue to play all of the games we can. Then flee to our Swiss bank accounts or offshore accounts.

Iraq?

Wassat?

Please "W"....wake up!!!! I voted for your sorry ass twice, and if you were eligible to run for dogcatcher, you wouldn't get my vote if you ran against Michael Vick!
These "raghead" assholes don't want us there...when will you realize this???

Sicko? USAstiff? BLT? Hello? Can we have some right wing drivel on this thread, please?

Anyone? Yoo hoo?

Malaki is afraid that Dumbya is getting set to dump his ass to the curb so he's being recalcitrant here but his point does have some validity.

Fer the longest time Dumbya didn't wanna hear the word Timetable and now that he has to bend to political pressure and bring it up Malaki tells him to piss off.

Charming.

Be Well.

Screw these dirty sons of bitches!

Time to withdraw and nuke.

Withdraw and nuke.

Repeat as necessary!

Nuke the place and turn it into a bunch of sand....ooops! I guess someone beat us to it.

"Withdraw and nuke"

And don't get it backward this time!

"Withdraw and nuke"

It's the only way to prevent a blood bath after we go.

I think that this is a hilariously ironical development. Bush goes in and fights a trillion dollar war to secure the Iraq oil fields for his corporate mack-daddies. Then Maliki realizes that given the consensus of Americans against this war he just has to wait Bush out and not sign the OSA's. If this happens Bush and his war, the hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars, the lives of 4000 American soldiers, tens of thousands of injured American soldiers, as-well-as the near genocide in Iraq will all be for naught. And, in the end the product of this regime change will most likely turn into another iron fisted Dictatorship that will (once again) embezzle the wealth of the country while brutally oppressing the Iraqi people ...

Now, that is the real cluster-fuck that our President has dragged us into, and I hope that he gets the opportunity to wear that badge of humiliation for the rest of his pathetic life ...

And, I hope the oil corporations lose every penny that they have invested in this debacle, because it has cost the people of America and Iraq plenty ...

"We will find many around the world who will support us in our endeavor."
Wonder how long it would take for Iran to get 160,000 (more)soldiers into Iraq.
btw, many of the Revolutionary Guards in iraq are Iraqis or the children of Iraqis who fled to Iran when saddam was our bestest buddy.
What goes around...
