Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

U.S. media reporting of the war in Iraq fell sharply in the second quarter of 2007, largely due to a drop in coverage of the Washington-based policy debate, according to a new study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism.

Don't cover it then its not happening.

........with all the drama in Paris Hilton's life, its perfectly understandable........

They arn't covering what is happening in Iraq anyhow. All they are doing is giving us a body count and pictures of things blowing up.

......thats all thats happening.......

Just like no one is covering the fact that the CHAIRMAN OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SINGLEHANDEDLY CRASHED OUR ENTIRE ECONOMY. and he wants a free pass watering it down as a "rookie mistake".

Yes, many people borrowed more than they should have and live beyond their means.

17 rate hikes in a row. The FED never gave the first 10-13 hikes a chance to react.

It could have been a nice clean wave, but Bernanke wanted a Tsunami. and now everything is the U.S. consumer's fault. Anyone that took an option arm that is not actively in the banking or real estate industry should be in a class action lawsuit.

Selling a 1% payment and not informing the borrower/homeowner of the poop hitting the fan in six months is DECEPTIVE.

There has to be an ambulance chasing lawyer that sees the potential of a suit like this.

So...preparation for the "September Surpise" has begun. Bush is going to need all the help he can get come September and, of course, the MSM is eager to help.

Thanks for bringing up the kook "Surprises". Just like the "October Surprise" and the "November Surprise".
Do you whack jobs ever get sick and tired of making stupid predictions that never pan out? Don't bother answering, it's a rhetorical question.

Is see that old 101Chairborne needs to take American Journalism 101. It's not a whack job, it's business.

Quite normal, as there was a political storm being reported as well. Expect the onslaught to come back in sept with the surge report being written by ....oh yeah. The White House.

Do you whack jobs ever get sick and tired of making stupid predictions that never pan out?

I think if you went over what we whack-jobs predicted for Iraq, versus what geniuses like Cheney, Wolfie, Rice and Bushie predicted, we'd be panning gold rocks the size of horse turds, while they'd be panning horse turds.
And you'd be swallowing said horse turds, with a glass of Kool aid.

Hey redwhite, Bernanke is under no obligation to rescue investors who made bad decisions. Besides a little shaking and crushing those ungodly hedge funds is a good thing for the common folks in the long run.

With the economy doing well under Dubya, inflation is still a concern. I think Jim Cramer of MSNBC 'yelled' because his ball was crushed.

Interesting, when Petreus and others say the 'surge' is going well, coverage decreases.....

GO FUCKING FIGURE.

carry on.

Now I know why you stick to horrible scripts as opposed to attempting to voice your own thoughts.
Carry on stupid.

"""Interesting, when Petreus and others say the 'surge' is going well, coverage decreases...."""

Uh-huh, going reeaaaaal well:

news.bbc.co.uk

Carry on indeed.

is that the surge where more people died in July than in June or the surge where more people die in August than in July?

""Interesting, when Petreus and others""

"others"....meaning the war supporters who were described all over the media as "war critics" who basicly never left the green zone or asked any in depth questions yet still were able to claim the surge was working.

We'll know what Patreus thinks as soon as Bushco writes his opinion for him. Funny thing, he'll know what he thinks by reading the same report Congress will.

*******Interesting, when Petreus and others say the 'surge' is going well, coverage decreases.....

GO FUCKING FIGURE.******

.......Patreus is a tool of the administration.....we are not hoodwinked.........well......n ot all of us.......

Reminds me of the old adage, "If you can't say something good, don't say anything"

"Do you whack jobs ever get sick and tired of making stupid predictions that never pan out?

I'm confused - are you talking about the "6 months at the most" prediction? The 'chocolates and flowers' prediction? The 'Iraqi oil will pay the costs of the liberation' prediction, or some other prediction? Please advise. Over.

So I guess anyone who reports good things in Iraq is a tool of "bushco"? GO FUCKING FIGURE is right. Another thread that is soooo telling about the left in this country.

You all want to lose at all cost, its amazing. Sad actually.

You say you support the troops, but you don't want the mission to succeed. So you DO NOT support the troops, cause you want them to fail, plain as day.....

Some of you on here question whether or not I was ever a lib. The answer is yes, all the way through college.

It's shit like this that changed my mind.

FUCKING PATHETIC.

Hey Brainvib,
How many 'good things' have come out of Iraq? Not many right? So when something does you and all your pansy ass leftists shit on the news regardless of what it is.

It really must suck to wake up, everyday, hop on the 'retort' a site who needs name recongnition to survive, and spew your disgusting shit everyday?

Must suck to be you.

Here's a formerlib too.

As long as the war effort is perceived as failing, the lib media uses it to bash Bush and loved to broadcast negative news every day.

Now that even anti-war journalists say the surge is working, the lib media does NOT want to give any credit to the troops or Bush for sticking it through. It now looks bad for libs Dems. Notice how Pelosi & Reid have been silent on the war. Even Hillary was recently quoted as saying the pullout would take up to 20 months because she will not pull troops if she gets to the White House.

Hillary on Surge? 'It's Working'...

Experience teaches that government says the opposite of the truth. I can confidently predict that in a year from now, the violence will be worse than it is today and the US will be deeper into the quagmire it make for itself. And I'm an independent who is anti-left and anti-right and anti-Washington.

"As long as the war effort is perceived as failing..."

Must revise statement:

"The war effort is failing."

No, that doesn't sound right...

"The war effort has failed."

Hmmmmm... That's sounds better. Though there is still something not quite accurate.

"The war effort was a failure from the very beginning."

Ah! That's it.

Typical American arrogance and ignorance when it comes to dealing with cultures unlike its own. Go in, blow the crap out of anything that moves, remove the formal military structure and current regime. Sure, that worked. Occupation though has not been quite the success envisioned. The US has been relegated to playing the equivalent of "Whack a Mole" while attempting to operate in a climate of civil war and religious conflict.

This "war" can never be won, can never even be fought to a draw.
