Now, with more than a half million dead civilians, a civil war throughout much of the country, an infrastructure in ruins, and little medical staff left, a person with even a little common sense would conclude that we have effectively destroyed that nation.

The humanitarian crisis increases while morons like Sicko squawk that the surge is working. Iraq may never again be the bulwark against Jihadism that it was previously. Christianity is dying in the country alongside it's adherents. Internecine gang and religious rivalries play out openly in the streets. Kidnappings are skyrocketing. Death squads abound. Some run from within the Malaki government. Some supported by the CIA. Torture occurs each night and every day the evidence of this is left in the streets to be found. To call any or all that a success at this point is madness.
