does anyone really watch the NBA anymore?

Very hard to believe this is the first and only ref to do this. To Cheka's point, who really watches the NBA anyway. Most likely it is the same people who stay on to the end of the Monday Night Football game when it is a blow-out. The only ones who watch are those who bet the games. Now that we know games can be fixed, who wants to bet. NBA numbers could go even lower. It will be interesting this sport has a bad image as it is, this will be very difficult to manage.

SI had an article on this guy. Apparently he was a strict rules enforcer and his scam was telling the big guys who was officiating what games in advance. Ref teams that call a lot of fouls have games that exceed the point total bet 60% of the time.

Eww, sports with colored folks. How gross! We're sticking with NASCAR and curling.

I am burned out on the NBA as well. This episode with the guilty ref only intensifies my dislike for the game. The way the game has evolved over the last few years, it is now known as basketbrawl. Who will ever forget that horrendous incident a couple of seasons ago between Detroit and Indiana. As I see it, the NBA can fold for all I care.

For me, it's college football and the NFL that are tops on my list.

I always assumed people watched the NBA knowing it was fixed. Like pro wrestling or jai alai.
