Good riddance. Go say hi to your buddy Mark Foley Dennis.

Even the FAT OLD ONES are leaving the SS George Bush. Rats always leave a ship before it sinks.

GOOD RIDDANCE and don't let the door hit your fat ass on the way out! Now he can sit in the middle of the cornfields and eat himself to death! Isn't it fun watching the rats deserting Shrub's sinking ship? They can't run fast enough...or in Fat Asstert's case, waddle.

Will he be leaving in that Prius (at leaast till he's out of camera range)? Wonder if the FBI getting to probe Congressional offices has anything to do with this? Then again, maybe he's going Newt and will waddle for Prez in 2012.
If he becomes a lobbyist, he'll need the whole lobby.

Oh really? I wonder why?

He made his money and connections. On to greener pastures.

Besides, he can't vote for himself. Can't fit into the polling booth.

You know that bugs the shit out of Me. You go vote and then you have to enter the damned polling booth sideways cause it barely fits a dwarf much else Me. I have thought about taking the ballot ion to the "John" and voting that way. Hell at least I can sit down on some comfortable seat.

Larry

Well he has already made his millions earmarking a highway extension next to land that he owned.

No more $$$$ to be made off of raping the government so he might as well retire.

Not too many people around here are going to miss ol' Hastert. But his district is pretty conservative rural/outer suburb teritory, so I don't think a Dem pickup is that likely.

But at least it gets some new blood into Congress either way, and the race should be interesting. Most of the Congressmen will relection 80-20. This will probably be 60-40. But it's also going to be a huge Presidential election with high turnout, so who knows?

Watch out Joey Chestnut.

Most politicians say they are leaving to spend more time with their families, which is usually a lie. Hastert is leaving to spend more time with his food, which is probably not a lie.

I heard there was a surplus of sausage and kielbasa building up in his district.

Dennis Fat-Turd won't run again? Awwwwwwww...

The repub congressman who love to diddle underage boys better find somebody else quickly who will also turn a blind eye to this sort of stuff.

Has-Turd(in every pocket) is leaving?
'Bout freakin' time-good riddance to bad rubbish.

Go say hi to your buddy Mark Foley Dennis.

Now Danni-you should at LEAST get it right.

It's really his "Butt" Buddy-Mark Feely.....

Hastert will probably retire to a beach villa in Thailand which he'll share as a drop-in center for wayward youth!

Hastert looked into his last bowl of spaghetti and saw 8 years of bad road in his future (not to mention congestive heart failure).

It was time to go home while he still had the breath to get there.

J. Dennis Hastert was known as the architect of Bill Clinton's impeachment.

and now MRS. Clinton is likely to be the next President of the United States.

I think I'd get out of town too if I was him.

Maybe Dennis is going to run with Newt in 2008."We're fat, fired and crooked, but we're the best the GOP's got"

NORTHGUY

I don't think Hastert wants to be within a thousand miles of Hillary Clinton.

He wouldn't be able to get so much as a stop sign earmarked for his district.

Yeah, he did right. It was time to take his loot and get out of Dodge.

It was time to take his loot and get out of Dodge.

I'm guessing it was a Dodge Ram, with the big diesel to carry the loot.
