Why should the Middle East be any different from the rest of the world? Nobody wants to be perceived as being in the pocket of America. It is insulting and threatening when the US says that X candidate is who we in America support. Sovereignty issues and so forth.

maybe you should take a momemt to THINK.. First, there were no islamic fundamentalists in Iraq before WE invaded and occupied. Second, OUR occupation was the catalyst for this small group of fundamentalist / terrorists to claim the moral high ground and increase their power base at the grass roots level. WE MADE THEM in every sense of the word and with every day that we stay there and OCCUPY their lands, their recruitment gets better and better.

Who gives a shit what the koran says? There's nothing that anyone can do to change the words in the koran. The bible says some pretty nasty shit too. Why don't christians follow the bible literally and slaughter those who don't believe in the christian god? Because, generally speaking, christians have better lives and therefore have something to lose if they start spouting off nonsense.
Take a look at who the terrorists in the mid-east really are: spoiled sons of wealthy Arabs who will be rich their whole lives no matter what and desperately poor people who have nothing to lose.
There are no middle class terrorists.
This has nothing to do with islam vs. christianity; this is about money and power.

Of course this is a little bit of honesty so this will shock some:

The hypocracy of the US from Asia, middle east, and African Americans has become glaringly evident. The US expouses democracy but wont back the Hamas; a democraticly elected govt. The US has several anti-democracy recent interventions including meddleing in south american affairs most notably Argentina's internal politics.

The transgressions at home to the dispossesed of America are too numerous to mention. Look at you local paper there probably are incidents where disporportionate punishments, non delivery of services etc has occured. Sorry to say, THESE INCIDENTS COUNT.
