Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

On the July 30 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, Michael Savage reacted to news that Chief Justice John Roberts had suffered a seizure that day by raising the possibility that "his health was in some way tampered with by the Democrats." Savage said, "Something's wrong with this picture," after noting that Roberts' seizure occurred just three days after Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) said he would seek in general to reject any future Supreme Court nomination made by President Bush.

If Michael Savage truly believes that the Roberts' Court has simply 'moved to the center', I think we can stop worrying about what drugs Rush as been ingesting and start wondering what sort of crap is Savage smoking? Talk about your right-wing nut cases, he takes that cake (fruitcake that is).

OCU

This is just plain silly...The Dems had NOTHING to do with it...

It was my fault-I made a voodoo doll of him-and implanted a BIG vibrator in it's body-I now turn it on once in a while thinking bad thoughts when I do.

Besides-it's ALL Bill Clinton's fault-HE'S the one that got a bj.....

Bush was behind 9/11. That's exactly what he sounds like.

"This is just plain silly...The Dems had NOTHING to do with it..."

Of course they didn't. Am I the only one who saw this for the parody that it was? He is obviously making a jab at Democrats who turn everything into a conspiracy and/or blame Bush for every bit of malevolence on the planet.

Goatman, it's obvioulsy a parody.

What's almost as hilarious (or tragic) is that so many on the Left do see conspiracy everywhere using the same flawed logic that Savage parodied, and they actually believe that savage was being serious.

I guess the problem is there seems to have been a true conspiracy to start the war with Iraq, leaving theories about 9/11 out of it.

You didn't even need to be that bright or alert to note that when Bush was telling us he had real-time satellite photos of Saddam's men moving WMD out just ahead of the UN inspectors he wasn't actually producing them.

Pretty farcical, I know. But most fell for it. The fact is, we're too damned easy.

The model for Iraq is actually Italy's entrance into WWI, engineered by no more than about five people.

The theory was fighting a war would transform a number of things in Italy and elsewhere, all for the good. Sound familiar.

The Italians eventually ended up with fascism and Musolini, a leader widely considered to be a clown at the time. Sound familiar?

Oh, conspiracies? Why did Bush wear and ear piece to his debate with Kerry? What was that rectangular box visible under his shirt? Why did he sometimes seem to be responding to someone not in the debate with his answers?

Pretty farcical, I know. Fact is we're too damned easy.

"What was that rectangular box visible under his shirt?"

Lojack

In the summer of 2004, Bush was being interviewed in a press conference with Chirac in France.

In the course of questioning, something weird happened. It was possible to hear a disembodied voice coming through his mike telling Bush how to respond to a question.

Chirac began to grin hugely. Bush began looking around in what is described as a "paranoid" manner.

"Oh, conspiracies? Why did Bush wear and ear piece to his debate with Kerry? "

He was conversing with Elvis.

"What was that rectangular box visible under his shirt?"

The purged portions of the Warren report that prove that aliens were behind the assination since Kennedy was about to go public with the truth about area 51.

"Why did he sometimes seem to be responding to someone not in the debate with his answers?"

He is actually speaking telepathically to all the members of the vast right wing conspiracy.

Clever Dems, setting Roberts up back in 1993. Musta been Hillary after she whacked Vernon or whatever his name was.
I think it was Thomas, feelin' dissed by The Man again, not gettin' his props as a stand-up brother. If Roberts had simply disappeared, we'd know it was Scalia.

""Goatman, it's obvioulsy a parody.""

""Tell me it's not possible, and I'll tell you you're a liar.""

hahahaha!

When righties go too far in thier diatribes their lemming supporters claim it was parody.

Ann Coulter - comedienne....right.
Rush Limbaugh - comedian....suuuure.
Michael Savage - comedian...oh please.

"When righties go too far in thier diatribes their lemming supporters claim it was parody."

You know, I used to think that Danni was a pretty intelligent person, just way, way off to the left. Now I've changed one of those opinions.

Unbelievable that someone can't see it for the parody that it is.

Sing (rather bleat) the Democratic sheeple song with me, Danni:

Bush Ba-a-a-a-ahd. Republicans Ba-a-a-a-a-ahd.

When righties go too far in thier diatribes their lemming supporters claim it was parody.

Oh dear...

Troops may die, but Roberts must live on. Corporations need him to rob and/or fuck us in the ass.

Is Savage nuts?????

So waddaya expect? The idiot's real name is Michael Weiner.

Savage Weiner, Lol

Weiner is a hate merchant plain and simple. Anyone that listens to that bile spewer ought to have their head examined. Dude's out to lunch.

"Is Savage nuts?????"

Nuttier than a fruitcake. But that doesn't preclude him from coming up with good satire.

Oh, he can't be all bad. No less a ranter than Michael Savage says in his "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder" that "the head of the (nation's) snake is the American Civil Liberties Union, which fashions itself as the de facto fourth branch of government." Let's hope so. herm

"When righties go too far in thier diatribes their lemming supporters claim it was parody."

"Oh dear..."

Pinche Danni

LOL. What a fucking kook. If this was just a "parody," then he wouldn't have outwardly compared it to the 9/11 conspiracy - that defeats the purpose of doing a parody. This wasn't a parody, this was yet another insane idiot on the radio.

YEAH!

Says the "Bushbot"!

Sincerely

Mr. Wiener

"LOL. What a fucking kook. If this was just a "parody," then he wouldn't have outwardly compared it to the 9/11 conspiracy - that defeats the purpose of doing a parody. This wasn't a parody, this was yet another insane idiot on the radio."

Incredible that there are two of y'all out there. He obviously used teh 9/11 parody because anyone with half a brain knows that there was no conspiracy with 9/11 and that ties in with the parody. But I guess he still failed to reach some. . .

Personally I can't stand MS and would like nothing more to be able to dis him, but I like a good satire and give him credit for delivering one.

"Says the "Bushbot"!"

Yeah. As my niece would say, "Whatever".

Goatman-
Whatever:

SAVAGE: Hold it, hold it. Women's health? You liar. You know, you are really a sickening person, Hillary. I've got to tell you, I've kept my hands away from this. But I will not stand idly by while you're talking about killing embryos up to the ninth month and call it women's health. That's rubbish. That's Hitler dialogue. Goebbels would be proud of you, Hillary Clinton. I know Mao Zedong would have been proud of you. But this is life and death you are talking about. It's not about women's health. It's about killing babies in the womb up to the ninth month.

So why can't we assume for a moment that it's within the realm of possibility that Roberts was in some way -- his health was in some way tampered with by the Democrats because they can't believe that no matter what they do, no matter what they do -- even if they engineer a victory for Hillary Clinton/[Barack] Obama -- they're still not going to be in control because the court's moved to the center? Just a thought. Just a tiny little thought for you to ponder tonight, all you left-wingers who are so glib in your attacks on the conservative movement.

[...]

SAVAGE: Let me say this again: On Thursday, some hack for the left wing, some hack professor said that we should increase the number of people on the Supreme Court, raising it from nine to another number. And he gave precedent for it. Of course, you have to go back 200 years to come up with this precedent. He then -- then on Friday, the shocking statement by Schumer, the obstructionist, whose nightmare -- whose dream for America is a nightmare for me. His dream is to see a Hillary presidency and he becomes appointed to the Supreme Court. That's what Schumer has lived for from the time he was a little boy. That's all he wants, so he had the nerve to say on Friday he will never, ever, ever permit another Bush appointee to get onto a court, to become a judge. Then today we read that the chief justice has had a seizure and fell on a dock? Something's wrong with this picture.

Parody or lunacy?

Savage:
What would you think of a country that spends most of its time arguing over whether a man can marry a man and do to each other what is despised by 99.9 percent of humanity from the beginning of time until now? Because make no mistake about it: 99.9 percent of humanity despises this behavior because they do not want to go down that road, and they know it's the road of death.

And so, you're looking at it from the point of view of the enemy. He sees a country obsessed with a man marrying a man? That's what they're arguing over?

And then he sees loud-mouthed, foul-tempered women in high places bossing men around. Foul-mouthed, foul-tempered women in high places bossing men around...

Goatman-
Are you and Savage like two peas in a scary pod?

it's ALL Bill Clinton's fault-HE'S the one that got a bj.....

Most of us have gotten a blow job. But most of us did not lie about it under oath before a grand jury.

Yeah, I know, a nit-picking difference.

I don't understand how Savage stays on the air. His voice is grating for radio, but much worse is his attitude. He is the most grouchy, negative person to listen to: Like being around a Liberal.

The success of Air America proves it!

"Most of us have gotten a blow job. But most of us did not lie about it under oath before a grand jury."

Did you find the members of the grand jury blushed, even a little, when you fessed up, Vernon?

"blushed, even a little"

No, but some of them swallowed.

Now, how do you move up if you're a talentless demagogue? What you do is you attack talented white men, and you say that we need to have fairness in America, in the American media. So put us in their seats.

This is what was done in Nazi Germany to Jews.

Boyd -- you've lost me completely. Rephrase, please

"Are you and Savage like two peas in a scary pod?"

Hardly. I think you've read enough of my posts to know that. I'm surprised you ask

Goatman-
Those are Michael Savage's words.

Justify them (or are you a part of the "homosexual mafia" out to get him?)

Do you read any of my posts? I stated a couple of times at least that I think the guy's nutty. What's this "justify him" crap? I'm completely lost at the angle you're digging for.

Goatman-
I guess I'm curious as to how you can tell that this rabid nutcase is engaging in parody when he is obviously so unhinged.

Goat-
re: Personally I can't stand MS and would like nothing more to be able to dis him, but I like a good satire and give him credit for delivering one.

I'm really curious. How can you tell when Weiner is just ranting about the fags and the uppity women, and the vermin (Mexicans, muslims, Democrats, etc.) and when he is being satirical?

Is there a "tell" that I miss, Goatman? Does Savage send a secret signal to alert apologists that he's not on a real fag rant, but is actually engaging in satire?

"I guess I'm curious as to how you can tell that this rabid nutcase is engaging in parody when he is obviously so unhinged"

Surely you realize that even the most rabid, most idiot, most left, most right, most (fill in the blank) person can engage in paroday once in a while, don't you? Please tell me you're joking that you don't know this.

"'m really curious. How can you tell when Weiner is just ranting about the fags and the uppity women, and the vermin (Mexicans, muslims, Democrats, etc.) and when he is being satirical? "

That didn't sound like satire, and I never said it did. But anyone with half a brain would know that to suggest that someone had anything to do with Roberts' seizure was joking. Again, please tell my you're joking when you say you took him seriously with the Roberts thing. Having sparred with you online before, I can't believe I have to put you in the same category as Danni. I would really have to begin doubting my otherwise good judge of people.

"Does Savage send a secret signal to alert apologists that he's not on a real fag rant, but is actually engaging in satire?"

No, but thinking people know.

I've seen the videos and I can say with certainty that Roberts neural matrix was rigged with THERMITE. We saw what happened to the twin towers when our master decide to give the kill order, we saw what they did to Tillman... now they are giving the go-ahead for controlled demolition of supreme court justices.

Now Audrey is showing parody!

And Savage rants plenty about how Bush is awful--"A globalist for immigration to destroy the fabric of our Country"!

He can't stand Bush for several reasons.

This rant was a parody--He was poking the eye of folks who think the absurd about ---9/11 conspiracy--the blowing up of building 7--and other issues.

He really can't stand the Dems though and that shows with his rants agains the likes of Schumer--who is really a Bum.

And for waht reason would Bush want to be behind the conspiracy to kill Tillman? The man was an inspiration! Not for the Dems point of view--but for recruiting. Even if he disagreed with Iraq--he was talking the talk and walking the walk for his Country.

The conspiracy lacks credibility because the same thing happened in 1993--There is no temporal relationship with the events.

Murphy

So, Bush was talking to Elvis during his debate with Kerry? So when Bush said "Let me finish!" to no one at all on nationally broadcast television, he was addressing the King? You know, that actually makes me feel better about the man.

" But most of us did not lie about it under oath before a grand jury"

YEAH!

So this is now a crime again?

It sure sounds like parody to me.

However, I've never listened to Savage, nor have a I read any of his stuff; so I am not the best judge in this scenario.

Jeff- If this was rush, I'd say it was a parody for sure.

But Savage is CRAZY.

Isn't Michael Savage the Son of a Bitch who declared gay people with AIDS deserved the disease??

Larry

Zed's memory is still good.

Here's the video.

Sounds like Bush read the speech into a recording, then played it back to himself during the speech. Hahaha. Moron.

You are in a better position to judge than I, Alex.

Pick your gems.

Savage likes his nazi references, that's for sure.

This one is really interesting!

There are some people for whom Limpdick, Orally and Handjobee are not extreme enough. Savage fills that niche. He doesn't have to make any sense. He just has to be extreme and "controversial".

Unbelievable that his real name is Weiner which Americans tend to pronounce as Weener. It's a German name and there it would be pronounced Viner, here it could be pronounced Whiner as well as Weener. Difficult to say which is more appropriate.

How about Weener the Whiner?

The Savage Weinie?

Bingo! I listen to Savage now/then and I'm far from some rightwingnut.

Sean, Rush, Savage, Beck .... it's all schtick.

Savage in particular is so un-serious about his satire/schtick it's laughable. Occasionally he'll go down a road that annoys me and I turn off the radio. Do some people take it seriously? I'm sure ... and those people should stop breeding immediatly.

Damn, Redneck, when will you learn that there is purjury, and then there is purjury.
The difference is who's purjury is being discussed.

That post from the sick BobShit along with the posts of his even more sicko companion FrankFF on this thread. Besides we all know it was the blue dot........

"He obviously used teh 9/11 parody because anyone with half a brain knows that there was no conspiracy with 9/11 and that ties in with the parody. But I guess he still failed to reach some"

Goatman-

You're missing the point. When you do a parody of someone or something, do you talk about that thing before you do the parody? No, you simply do the parody, and if done properly people will know what you are making fun of.

The only reason you would talk about the 9/11 conspirators prior to talking about your own conspiracy would be to legitimize your conspiratorial beliefs.

Let's say I'm doing a parody of Larry Mohr's typing. Do I post a quote from Larry first, or do I simply type a phrase like "mmm YumMy hookErs in My baSement?" I do the latter, because that's what a parody is.

This was probably not a parody, and it's not shocking that anyone who "thinks" it was is a rightwinger.

" But most of us did not lie about it under oath before a grand jury"

YEAH!

So this is now a crime again?

Posted by redneckville

It was for Scotter but not for Bill.

I read the article. I am not stupid. I did not think it was obvious at all that this was a parody. Quite the opposite. It reads as if Michael Savage was perfectly genuine in his rightwing paranoid delusional belief that the big bad liberals are going to do physical harm to the Chief Justice.

Savaga, Ms. Coulter, Cal Thomas and even Bush/Cheney: Can anyone really parody them when they are their own best parodies? Maybe the "Chief Justice" does have a microchip implanted., designed to destroy our democracy (you KNOW how the rest of the world HATES it). Its only side effect is those periodic little seizures. herm

re: parody

All I can add is that if y'all really thought that Savage was seriously suggesting that there was a conspiracy against Roberts by someone somehow forcing a seizure on him --- well no wonder y'all believe the other wacko conspiracies people come up with. At least it makes a little more sense now. There really is a malformed part upstairs that prevents logical thought and allows the word conspiracy to creep into every thought.

You're missing the point. When you do a parody of someone or something, do you talk about that thing before you do the parody? No, you simply do the parody, and if done properly people will know what you are making fun of."

I can't speak for MS. Why he did that, I don't know. I know I've done casual parodies in a conversation or at a party and cited what I was parodying. Maybe MS thought that there would actually be people out there listening who were stupid enough to think he was serious. So he cited another obvious parody (9/11) to clue those people in. I don't know. At any rate, if that WAS the reason, it obviously didn't work. He underestimated the IQs of his listeners and readers, I guess.

Actually, considering the crap he broadcasts, is it any wonder he would think he listeners had less than average IQ? Doesn't surprise me a bit.

"Sean, Rush, Savage, Beck .... it's all schtick."

In the '90s, I used to travel to Atlanta a lot. Sean had a radio show there then. I actually enjoyed it. Yes, he was right biased, but nothing like the rabid dog Fox turned him into. Too bad he didn't keep his original sctick. It was good and thought provoking. He had good non-sheeple listeners from both the full range of the political spectrum and entertained questions from them all equally then. Wish that old Sean was the one on Fox now.

Rush and Savage, I don't even tune into. Maniacs both of them.

But Beck -- I kind of like his TV show. I watch him occasionally on the rig since I don't have TV at home, and he can be good. I'm surprised the left wing CNN broadcasts him though. His radio show OTOH is a bit off the deep end. I wonder why the difference.

Goatman-
Maybe because CNN isn't "left wing" ?

Wait a while, Goatman. As soon as Sean figures out the pendulum is moving left, he'll begin moving with it.

Parody?

Spud would describe The Savage Weiner to be more "parrotty" than parody.

Case in point...

What he means is it's no longer a communist socialist court. It's been moved to the center, make no mistake about it. It's a centrist court; it's by no means a right-wing court

Supreme Court No Longer Communist?

Spud don't remember that newstory popping up here at any point.

How did we miss that one?

"by no means a right wing court"?

Spud'll bet ya yer wrong there you silly savage sausage person!

Spud'll give ya 5 to 4 odds.

Be Well.

PS: Rushbo, Yawn Hamn'cheez and this yo-yo are numbers one, two, and three in the radio ratings, by the way, how creepy is that?

PPS: Yes, is Spud entering blogworld, as ya do,
stage left.
