BTW Hillary came off as a real bitch when she wouldn't say anything nice about Obama at the end - the question asking candidates to say one positive and one negative thing about the candidate to their left. Bravo to Anderson Cooper for pointing it out to the viewers as well!

Not in so many words. But chances are if you are poor that you made some bad choices in your life. If you made good choices chances are you wouldn't be poor. So a person who makes bad choices typically isn't a good role model.

Now, if you made poor decisions and don't have a good job, then chances are you can't afford health care for your children. I can't say you are a good parent if you aren't getting them good health care, can you?

Also, I love the idea of people posting questions, the fucking media shouldn't be given any more power than they already have to ask stupid questions. If there are going to be stupid questions, let the people make them.

We've held of having children until recently because we understood we wern't in a financial position to have any. More than anything we wanted one of us to stay home at all times with the child(ren).

Life's about making intelligent and proper decisions. If you're broke and see no light at the end of the tunnel, now MIGHT NOT be the time to have kids. You don't have to be RICH (we're not), but some common sense could prevail.

I think when it comes to foreign policy, he is hard to beat. His answer to pulling out of Iraq was also good. He seems to have thought about the issues more than the others.

The difference between a moderator reading a question on behalf of a citizen and the actual person asking it themselves via a YouTubed submission was far more impactful than Spud expected.

Two guys from Tennesse was prolly the funniest part of the night fer Spud. You could tell Edwards and Hillary didn't think those guys made southerners look bad. They were delighted by the two gentlemen with their funny Gore question, as was Spud.

The guy with the automatic assault rifle he refered to as his "baby" made himself look a little bad it's true but it certainly doesn't reflect on all gun owners as BLT imagines here.

Joe Biden's funniest and most memeworthy moment of the night occured as a result of his response to that clip.

Basically, all the candidates did a helluva job last night and they all looked ready to kick the living crap outta any of their competition on the right.

Anderson Cooper did a great job keeping the pols honest and not letting them go off topic when it came to answering questions.

Spud's one problem with the debate came from one of the YouTube submissions that involved a guy sitting down flipping through a bunch of hand lettered cardboard signs a'la Dylan in his Subterranean Homesick Blues vid. Problem was by the time the shot switched to the vid so as you could actually read the signs it was almost over. But that's just a technical geek and not too much of a big deal. Beyond that minor peccadillo Spud declares the thing a smashing success.

Actually, Spud's big problem when first arriving in blog-world was the fact that so many on the right were and are capable of little else beside invective in terms of debate. Also Spud noticed a lot of lefties trying to reason with all this unreasonableness.
