Republican will now have a tear in their beer. It just breaks their heart when they can't kill somebody.

If this guy is innocent then good, I am glad the board gave them the extra 90 days to prove it. i find it funny though that it took them 18yrs to all of sudden find this new information.

If this guy is guilty though, I feel for the family of the fallen officer. They do not deserve this from the legal system...

This is a tough road.

Shucks, more people affiliated with the Democrat Party than the Republican Party are killers. Byrdman, why did you make the statement regarding Republicans lusting for blood?

Oh wait, the Democrat killers are doing it free-lance as criminals, while the Republicans want the State to punish miscreants. Got it, homey.

I gather that a lot of lefties have adopted a ;olicy of moral equivalency.

Johson-
Killing innocent people is pretty much a moral crime no matter who does it, wouldn't you agree?

(BTW, Johnson, how do you know what political party this person does or does not belong to?)

I am for the death penalty.... but only for GUILTY people. If there is a serious question as to guilt (as there seems to be here) then I think everyone is served by putting emotion on hold and carefully weighing any new evidence. He may still be determined to be guilty, in that case justice should be swift. If he is innocent of this crime, then justice should still be swift and his freedom provided at haste.

If I remember correctly when I read the article a week ago that talked about this case, it was made know that the people that witnessed against him in court didn't recant their testimony for years. By that time a law had been passed that reduced the funds to the department that provides legal defense and investigation for inmates that are appealing their convictions. Also many of the lawyers that worked on these cases left due to the drop in pay, leaving only a skeleton crew (no pun intended) of lawyers that were severely overburdened with cases.

Keeping all that in mind... 18 years doesn't surprise me a bit.

Indeed it is, Boyd. I don't think you will find a Republican that disagrees with you there. It is the guilty ones that we disagree about. As I said, if there is a question of guilt then everyone is served by taking the time to determine the truth. I say let this man have his hearing to present his evidence.

The Death Penalty the ULTIMATE in Hypocrisy.

Larry

The Death Penalty the ULTIMATE in Hypocrisy.

So says you.

How is making someone that is guilty of murder pay the same price that they enforced on an innocent person considered hypocrisy?

It is all in how you look at it... and evidently you look at it from deep within your bowels. Might want to remove your head from there.

I'm glad to hear this. Every witness who's testimony was the only evidence in the case have recanted.
