U.S. Senator George Voinovich (R-Ohio) says he warned top White House aide Karl Rove that President Bush quickly needs to craft a workable plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq in order to salvage his legacy. In private, Voinovich is more blunt, stating that the administration "fucked up" the war.

I eagerly await the day when Bush and Repubs announce their withdrawl plan. I cannot wait for all the Boxies, the Derflaloikisfurbies, and even the Armedillos, to explain how this is different from "cut and run."

Oh, wait, it's different in the way that when a Republican has sex outside of marriage it's a "slip," and a sin for which one can be forgiven by prayer. But when a Democrat does it, it's grounds for impeachment.

Lying under oath to a grand jury is also grounds for impeachment. That's why Clinton was disbarred.

What, lying before a grand jury is not a crime? If Libby is not guilty, why should Clinton have been? Am I missing something here?

Major Democrats bite their lips and take money from the same people feeding the Republicans. REAL Conservatives continue to provide lucid criticism of the only guy on the planet that would have lost an invasion of Grenada. How many times have we seen previous presidents take actions that were solely for the purpose of keeping good poll numbers?

If you don't like him, he doesn't care. If the polls don't like him, he doesn't care. If you want to get Bush to do something, you have to show him what he does care about and show the impact on THAT.

I've yet to see Congress target what he cares about most. Instead, they give him what he wants.

As I stated last week, this is all part of the Lugar-Warner Bill to "require" the WH to come up with a plan to disengage, so the GOP can say that they were the ones to get the troops out, thereby maybe saving their jobs.

Reid and the rest of the Democrats in the Senate should say "NO" to the Lugar-Warner bill and get the damned job done themselves, like we elected them to do.
