Where have you been? Libby was convicted of four crimes, including felonies. The grand jury was convinced, and so were the jurors, unanimously.

She was not covered by the statute Danforth. And the President's admission was as a statement of fact unrelated to her status. What Bush essentially said was that he wondered if this whole issue could have been avoided if Armitage admitted to disclosing Plame's name when the issue first came up. That's hardly an admission of criminal guilt or culpability.

Danforth. get this through yourt thisck head. Nobody has ever been convicted, will convicted or will even be indicted for outing Valerie Plame. That's because, even though Fitzgerald knew who the initial leaker was, even though he had an ironclad confession -- he still didn't believe that there was any evidence a crime. If he did, he would have brought the confession to a grand jury and Armitage would have been indicted.

Had Libby not lied, Cheney would be facing possible execution in The Hague.

Probably the same ones which allow fools to spout "there was no underlying crime". Especially when one of the convictions was for obstruction of justice and another for lying to the grand jury investigating the (probable) underlying crime(s). Otherwise, why would Libby lie? Who was he protecting? To coin a phrase, if they've done nothing wrong, what do they have to hide?

The next administration will have a job of reversing and correcting the abomination left by Bushco.

This "winner" will almost certainly be a one term president. How can anyone move the nation forward when eight years of damage have to be repaired?

Whomever it is that is called "Winner", imagine it.

The job that will be required is bigger than such as I could undertake.

If you find prayer helps give them all you can. If something else is your way, give whoever all the support you can.

It may take quite a few years and administrations just to correct the awesome amount of damage.
