Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Democrats John Edwards and Hillary Rodham Clinton were caught by Fox News microphones discussing their desire to limit future joint appearances to exclude some lower rivals after a forum in Detroit Thursday. Edwards said, "We should try to have a more serious and a smaller group." Clinton agreed, saying, "We've got to cut the number" and "they're not serious."

She certainly has a big enough mouth to fit that foot in.

LOL...Well, Dennis K> has responded already.

I haven't seen anything from the others, yet...

I'm shocked

As a staunch right-winger I actually agree with Nurse Rachet and Con Edwards on this one--anymore then 5 candidates from each party is too many--i want to hear more from the candidates that have a shot

And the human sock puppet show continues...

Message from Ron Paul

Stalin would be proud........

In other news...Congress approval # down again.

AP POLL: CONGRESS LOWER MARKS THAN BUSH...

Run, Al, run.

so now the liberals are for banning others from even talking ...

boy can you imagine the outrage from the left had GWB had even come close to statements like this?

the hypocrisy of the left knows no bounds

"boy can you imagine the outrage from the left had GWB had even come close to statements like this?"

Probably the same level as the rightwing apologists had a Republican said it.

Reread the thread. The only person agreeing with H & J is an admitted rightie. The difference seems to be the Dem bloggers repudiate the Jeffersons of the world and the Repub bloggers embraced the DeLays.

Both parties are corrupt.
I don't understand why people can't grasp the fact that both parties are bought and paid for by the same corporate money, and you are going to get the same results everytime.
Both parties are pushing for the interests of the big money that sponsers them.
They don't give a shit about us anymore.
There has to be some kind of revolutionary change in Washington, otherwise John Q. Public is just going to keep getting these same mamby pamby politicians that tell you what you want to hear then when they get elected they continue down the same path of globalization, more taxes, corporate tax cuts, inflation, ect. ect..
No more of this fake left, right, puppet show.
It is time for people to wake up and realize that you can't just fall into a party line and expect a better or different outcome.

BTW,
Im going to vote republican for the first time in my life next election.
Ron Paul.

I could put up with the 400 dollar haircuts, but trying to limit idea's in a democratic election is too much! Take me out of the Edwards column and put me in the Kucinich column.

This could be one of the best things to happen to Dennis. Suport for Ron Paul did not really take off till the Repubs tried to exsclude him from the debates. Enough people were outraged that he got alot of exposure he otherwise would not have gotten.

Dennis could play on the same sympathies. Some of the same people who fought for Ron would probably be willing to fight for Dennis even if they don't plan to vote for him.

Oh and Jeff, thanks for the support. I mostly think your a nut but if your going to vote RP I guess your my kind of nut.

I don't understand why people can't grasp the fact that both parties are bought and paid for by the same corporate money, and you are going to get the same results everytime.

I kinda gag at the thought of agreeing with Jeff on anything, but he's spot on.

The driving problem though is campaign finance 'reform.' Because of the caps, members of Congress spend 50%-70% of their time groveling for money. So when corporate money shows up at the door, they take it.

That's also why they vote on bills they have never read. They don't have time. I was at the Capitol and watched senators rushing down the hall for a vote, while some aid walked alongside trying to explain the bill.

Realy good people who migt serve just a few terms aren't willing to spend 50 hours a week asking for money.

Aside from his chances I love Ron Paul standing up to the war party, and a Kucinich trying to interject some common sense is also very welcome.

Compared to these right wing retards i'd have to vote for Hillary, but grudgingly, bush,clinton,bush,clinton... crum !

I can only imagine how big this thread would be if Rudy and Romney tried to do this to Ron Paul.

RCADE would need a bigger server.

:-)

All kidding aside, Edwards and Hillary are right -- Any debate with more then 4 people is just noise. That's just the way it is.

And the real campaign for president won't really beigin until the 2nd tier candidates get weeded out.

"so now the liberals are for banning others from even talking ...

If GWB had even come close? Have you been paying attention to who Bush has been silencing for the past 6 years and especially the past month? If you havent noticed, there is plenty of outrage from all sides.

This so-called leader's above-the-law attitude combined with complete and treasonous ineptitude is what currently knows no bounds in this country. This is what the Democratic hopefulls should be talking about- not how to narrow the field.

This photo at the same event is even more entertaining than Open Mike Night.

Just why do you suppose eight out of nine GOP candidates would blow off the NAACP?

Ted

"Just why do you suppose eight out of nine GOP candidates would blow off the NAACP?"

I would suspect for the same reason that the Hildebeast or Obama would not bother to attend an NRA ralley...not likely to get wither money or votes....

Remember, the blacks in this country vote as a block and they vote for their democrat masters. There is little to lose by offending them and little to be gained by catering to their requests.

There are too many running for the President of the United States for them to get all their sound bites in, Edwards and Clinton contend. So they have a plan reduce the size of the group in order for them to get more speaking time...

Ted there you go ignoring RP again. It was 9 out of 10 who skipped. Tancradeo and 9 lecturns representing the 9 who failed to show not the 8 who failed to show.

I used to like Tancredo, but after the fox debates when he sold RP up the river for a couple seconds extra face time he lost all credibility (not that he had much before)

Ok Hillary and Edwards are trying to stifle Debate, Isn't that practically the same thing as what Dubya does when He has PreScreened "Townhall" meetings. He is in effect trying to stifle Debate. So Why are the Righties so up in arms about this?? For the record I think it ALL Stinks.

They've already started doing it on the republican side, expect more of this coming soon

mediamatters.org

tis still sooooooooooo early in the campaign...
this is kid-stiff... i'm waiting for the next campaign altering dean-scream type media horror clip... this time perhaps hillary having a wardrobe malfunction and having her penis pop out.

it's what we have to look forward to, huh?

and after all of this fighting and money counting, we'll be left with two... maybe three candidates that will scare the living hell out of me.

cheers

You know I had great admiration for John Edwards but this just turned My stomach 180 Degrees, Does He not know that this great Country was founded upon great Debates, To exclude certain Candidates is wrong to say the very least. I am ashamed of John Edwards, This sickens Me greatly.

This could be why Bill Clinton strayed, Her mouth has been stretched so far that He couldn't feel Her lips tightly enough on His Johnson so He went and looked for hardly used "Models"
