Yeah and it snowed in Miami Beach once too!

Difficult to assign to much significance to any climactic anomaly. It is only within the context of strange weather occurrences worldwide that this story takes on a more ominous meaning.

Another striking example of ignorance on your part, when scientist, researchers, and architects model systems, new designs or culture organisms, say for vaccines, flood control, architectural stability, new technologies and such, they do so on an Island ----- and Island called a "Lab"! And what happens in the lab can be extrapolated out --- it's called prototyping.
Easter Island is, thru extrapolation, a very good model of how humans and their actions impact their surroundings!

Ahhh, Buffy...the computers and the labs can't even predict next week's weather to any degree of certainty. The "scientists" can control input into the computers and the lab experiments. However, they CAN'T control things like sunspots, El Nino, Mt Pinatubo, Hurricane Katrina etc, etc. NATURE, it's NATURE, Buffy. Man's effect on global warming is minimal. However, if it makes you and your little friends feel better, I did buy a SMALLER RV this week and I've been cutting down on exhaling. I'll still have to tow my SUV behind the RV though.

It's the already frozen gasses that are dangerous when released. The more that the poles are exposed to solar radiation, temperature and temperate weather changes the more hydroflorocarbons are released which precipitate the blanket of ultra-light gasses causing the greenhouse effect everywhere. The Serbian permafrost, most mountains and high-altitude glaciers and snowpacks are thawing rapidly.

Parts that we can change are how we contribute to this chain of events. China is releasing so much waste I'm surprised that the US hasn't instituted a co-supportive waste management system to generate new economic resources.

Unlike your political and religious beliefs nature is not so straight forward as warming=everything warmer cooling=everything cool.

I know it would make you sleep easier if it was this way but its not.

For example if the polar ice cap melts due to global warming then Ireland and Britain become frozen. Why my simple minded friend? Because they are at the same latitude as Alaska. (if you ever travel outside the US to England in the summer you will notice it does not get true dark.) The Gulf Stream keeps them warm. But if the ice cap melts then all that cold fresh water will sit on top of the Gulf Stream turning Merry Olde England into a winter wonder land while the US roasts.

I would invite you to think outside of the box and actually read something. You may be surprised to find out that the data includes normal rising in temperature from such things as a hotter sun---such things as historical changes going back tens of thousands of years---where do you think the "Look how the temperature fluctuated in the past" people get their information? They get it from the researchers who are saying mankind is a factor in global warming. No one is saying mankind is the only factor, and only someone who has read nothing or only one side would think such a thing.

Even at that, you miss the point. It isn't about whose fault it is, the point is what are we going to do about it. So far the only answer is point fingers and go extinct.
